Actually I'm disappointed with the author!!! I mean just one scene is NOT enough T.T

for a quick light read, this novel is the one you should take up. I personally love misunderstandings and comic scenes so it was enjoyable. The smut was quite steamy as well without having been excessively romanticized.

just a side note, those who do not menstruate really should refrain from making jokes about period cramps, its not funny.

also, I find referring to a male's male lover as 'daughter-in-law' or even 'wife' a tad bit weird and kinda problematic. I really do not want to conform to stereotypical roles, that's why.

This story is humorous and adorable. The MC reminds me of Everybody Thinks That I like Him, which is also a fun story, At first the ML comes across as the typical cold, perfect guy, but he's actually quite pure and caring. The ML has no signs of becoming an insane, violent yandere, which is delightful break in the yaoi genre. The translation is smooth and carries across the humor very well. The misunderstandings in the story keep piling on, and it's absolutely hilarious!

Wow the story is so cute and uplifting! I thought it would be a little cliche but it's not. I didnt cringe and would say that it's so heartfelt :') I love the chemistry between the MC and the ML.

The ending is good but I think it was abrupt...? with no extra chapters : (

But overall, the translations were excellent as hell props to the translator!

it's... alright. nothing special. a typical light brainless fluff. don't expect any critical thinking happening here especially since even the two MCs are dumb haha. the plot is quite cliche, something I've definitely seen before but I don't really mind. It's just a typical light brainless fluff.

oh, and there's quite a few graphic NSFW scenes. that's pretty unique lol

what I do mind is the heteronormative way to address the shou as wife/daughter-in-law/other feminine titles. feels homophobic ngl

MC is too excentric for my taste. And the romance is pretty dumb. They are obviously doing very ambiguous stuff and then act like its a totally straight thing to do. Who the f*ck invites their roommate to shower with them??? And thats only the begining. And you cant even say its cuz the MC is innocent and clueless, because he demonstrates that he knows people can misunderstand that he is gay but continues to do ambigious stuff. The thought process is so unrealistic and illogical. Pretty dumb. THe ML... more>> buys him breakfast everyday and he complains that it isnt the breakfast he wants. Seriously?? Is a a f*cking 7 years brat or a college student? The MC acts like a 14 year old when it comes to interactions. Dialogue is dumb. Character is dumb. This is personally what I call low tier fugioshi bullshit. I cant stand low quality works like this. If this was a hetero novel everyone would be shitting on this novel cuz the MC is THAT s*upid. But its gay so any absurd illogical interaction become "comedy"

if you dont mind losing braincells for smut this is the novel for u. Personally i'd rate this a f*cke 2 star, but I know there are people out there who eat this sh*t up. I like to rate depending on what I feel and who others might feel so this is a 3.

Funny? Yes..

Sweet? Very much so..

Misunderstanding? Hilarious to the point of crying ?

Translation? Awesome..

Xiao Nian? Your typical facial paralysis ML.

Wei Ru Song? Dumb to the point of gullible. But still acceptable, and cute.

What I can't accept?

No plot. This is basically a slice of life comedy but without logic. Sometimes I need to re-read for the umpteenth time just to understand the context of the story. It's enjoyable but not to the point of re-read. Hence, 4 stars.

I can't stop smiling and giggling while reading this novel. All those misunderstandings about them is hilarious as hell ?Both the MC and ML are really cool. The struggle to express their feelings in words is there but the actions have said it all subconsciously.

Can't get enough of the 30 chaps. This is a fun read?

I would describe the dynamic between Wei Ru Song and Xiao Nian as absolutely perfect, funny and adorable. The misunderstandings in this novel are just exquisite ?

You should give it a try ^^

OMG I laughed so hard & had such a good time while reading this novel!

We start the story with a lot of crazy misunderstandings. Then we follow the different stages of their relationships. The main characters are interesting, each with their own personality. They are not extremely developed (their past for example), but it's just enough to understand the story and their intentions. Their feelings develop very naturally and there are many sweet moments between them. s*x scenes are detailed hehe!

The translation is a 5/5!

To sum up: it's simple to read (no big plot-twists), short, funny af & cute. If you have time between two longs novels and want something refreshing without drama, then it's a good one to read!

This novel is meant to be short, cute, and funny - and it does its job. The MC often break the 4th wall to lament the author. There are constant misunderstandings, rumors, and shenanigans going on at all times. The side characters are colorful and could use a story for themselves (I especially like the 2nd couple).

There's nothing new or exciting about this series. In fact, it's very similar to "Everyone thinks I like that I like him". But overall well executed and didn't drag on into infinity. Lol. Reminded me of "The Boy Next Door" (short korean drama series).

I love this kind of misunderstanding.

Edit: My God. I'm so thankful for this novel. The Boy Next Door only showed scenes of misunderstandings between the two characters and their peers. With so many tease and hanging ending. I thought this was gonna be like that. But I forgot the Yaoi tag there lol. Yes!

Please let it end with a bang! Let the world know their relationship haha

A novel with impressive storyline comes in package with good writing and translation.

🥺❤️ This is such a sweet novel. I expected this to be more comedic considering the description, yet it turns out to be straight up fluffy romance. My single dog soul is suffering.

This story is great for a light read. There is no tragic or drama going on between the protagonists, no complicated stuffs or annoying misunderstandings, yet the story progression, as well as the feeling development, are executed extremely well. Okay, I'm actually so surprised that I liked this novel so much. I'd even dare say that this is now one of my top five favorites. I don't normally think much about short stories or smut plots, but this one is just so so perfectly written.

First of all, if you've come in looking for substance, this novel is just a perfect mess of hilarity, misunderstandings, and youthful feelings. Don't expect much except a cute and sometimes sexy love story that will make you not want to stop reading. It's just...... more>> that entertaining, despite its simplicity.

I love the main leads so much, they have one of my favorite dynamics ever. The MC is a straight guy that is oblivious, wife-like, and has a shameless personality. I really like the duality of him because he can be a bold and s*upid (I use this word with love) in one moment, but caring and flustered the next. He's basically a tough-guy with a soft side. The ML, on the other hand, is your average man-of-few-words rich kid, but is inwardly extremely sentient and teasing towards the MC. Their relationship is so sweet and naturally deepened with the misunderstandings.

I had originally started this novel as a short pastime, but unexpectedly fell in love with it. If you love short and fluffy love stories with realistic character interactions (of course, the reactions of the general public and schoolmates are very exaggerated, but I think that just adds to the amusement), I definitely recommend this one! <<less

Although it's very short I wasn't planning on finishing at least in a week because #finals

But I ended up reading this instead of studying and before I knew it it was over. Now I have to go and study for real.

I felt so much second hand embarrasment, everything was always making them seem like pe*verts who couldn't keep the hands to themselves hahaha

But I'm glad they ended together and that xiao nian showed the way he's, not the cold and distant guy, in fact he's very cute and funny how... more>> they're such a cute match❤️

And the side couple!!! I wasn't expecting that HAHAHAHA

A fast paced and light hearted read, this is just pure and utter dog food. Doesn’t cleanse the palette, nor bring new flavors, it’s just a simple love with a bit of an aftertaste.

The comedy is up there but this novel is quite a superficial read.

What love stop rumors. This is definitely a case where the rumor become true and fuel the rumor even bigger.

I really have no idea that there are so many kind of scenario that would make people think you are gay lol. The story is refreshing, there's no heavy drapma or tragedy. The tone is lighthearted and pretty sexy after they got together. Definitely the perfect BL to read on train since it will brighten up your day.

This is absolutely adorable. Both characters are so likeable and cute. There’s very little conflict and it’s really just lots of fluff and s*xual tension and smut. It reminds me of Everyone Thinks I Like Him. MC is just a tad bit too s*upid for me, which is why I knocked off a star. No seriously, there was a couple scenes where I refused to believe someone at college age would think and act that way. Unexpectedly very real and very good. Super absolutely hilarious and really well-portrayed budding romance/college slice-of-life. Despite the ML being your stereotypical "cold but perfect school-idol/prince" that frequently shows up in many CNovels, the fantastic, vividly portrayed MC rescued and elevated the entire story.

The characters are well-developed and there's a lot of subtleties in the background relationships as well. The romance progressed very naturally and the sentiment between the main leads are absolutely adorable.

One of the few CNovels that portray a homos*xual relationship more realistically (instead of just being a fetishized... more>> copy of a het relationship).

Though I continue to hold the hope of those irritating 'designated spots' of who's top and who's bottom disappearing... or at least, seriously not being a big deal when the supposed 'bottom' wants to 'top.'

A very cute read.

pros:

    • Initially, the first time I read this novel, I thought it was going to be boring, but I was wrong.. It's really cute.
    • Interesting premise, would've been fun as a long much more developed read as well. If you've read everyone thinks I like him, this is like the less serious, more fast paced version with smut.
    • MC is so damn cute, he's so precious. As for ML I think compared to other Mls in the iceberg, cold, hot and perfect setting, he was adorable. Little young master.
cons: Nothing to critique about in a cute, lighthearted read.

Overall, it's a very fun and hot read when you're bored or just want to let loose and read something simple.
