ML and MC are so evenly matched and the novel had both face-slapping scenes and acting scenes and love scenes evenly paced. [4.5/5] Good e-sports novel read, and I love the combination of film emperor x e-sports player. Only thing is that I do feel that the r/s between ML and MC is not evenly balanced enough. [5/5] This has made it to one of my favs. MC had a very heartbreaking childhood, and I'm happy that he had a good family to raise him and look after him. For a while I thought that ML didn't have much to do with MC's feelings for him, but in hindsight, I see how it can actually be perceived as 'grooming', just a tad. Very subtle, I like it. [4.8/5] I like how MC kept on track with his revenge, some might say he was ruthless, but I felt that he was completely in line. Very satisfying read. Also, a lot of it was also pushed forward by other characters. I was a little unsatisfied with ML's reactions, although I understand where he's coming from, especially from asian upbringing where filial piety is really placed at high importance.
