Often I ended up watching the drama before reading the books, which in some cases is good, some other times is actually bad as the story is more fleshed out in the drama itself.

I’m not going to give a review of the novel and/or drama it’s been adapted to, but I’m going to give a score based on how similar is the drama to the novel (and viceversa) based on what I’ve read.
⭐️ = significant changes to the story and the characters  ⭐️⭐️ = some changes to the some events in the story and the characters but main story plot is maintained ⭐️⭐️⭐️ = both the story and the characters remain true to the novel

Unrated novels is because I either haven't read the novel or haven't watched the drama so wouldn't be able to provide an accurate analysis. <<less

Stories centered around female leads that are charming and competent and able to get stuff done. Satisfying reads about smart women who find love.

I have not read all of these. Just a collection.

It seems to be your typical romance novel, but it succeeds to blow your mind with its plots. All types of flavours.

I will also mention some dramas that are upcoming or yet to be broadcasted those would be specified too.

Every drama mentioned here has been subbed in English.

To know the legal sites to watch these dramas I will be mentioning which all are available on YouTube(most dramas are available to watch for free only Iqiyi dramas need VIP to watch the rest of the episodes ) mostly it will be Iqiyi , Youku , Tencent (WeTv) , Mango channel , Hunan TV (all these channels are there on YouTube )otherwise some of them are available in Viki or Netflix to know alternative legal streaming sites please check My drama list .  com 

Also for Iqiyi you will have to pay memberships fees to watch dramas after the first 2 free episodes.
