ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I READ A GOOD UNIFLOW. So happy. So refreshing. Starting my rambles now. OMG I CRIED WHEN I FINISHED READING. I thought the amnesia concept would make me feel a bit iffy about this one but they did it in the same way a detective novel would reveal the mystery which kept it engaging and in no way frustrating thankfully. The main characters are top tier, great chemistry, fun yet grounded personalities. The side characters are so good too they made me laugh and cry just as much if not more than the main couple. I typically am able to find a favourite character after finishing a story but they’re... more>> all just written so equally that I felt it impossible to do so. What an emotional speech this has become..Also the world building was so interesting. This entire story is like if card room and the earth is online merged but dulled down both sides to a reasonable degree (card rooms intensive settings mixed with teio’s light hearted character interactions, odd descriptions I am aware). The way things mentioned at the start in seemingly passing that become major plot points in the latter half of the novel is great as well, made me tear up. Horror isn’t god level but I will still admit it did get me once or twice, it isn’t the main focus so I’d say it’s alright, if anything the comedy takes the priority but not excessively, it’s all well balanced. I want to say more but this is just a text heap now sob.

I loved how You Hou never forgives or hates his mother for all she did. I’ve grown used to MCs being excessive towards family relations even if there shouldn’t be such harsh feelings involved. So it was an absolute pleasant surprise when he appreciates his uncles efforts and care over spending his time and energy dwelling on his mother.  <<less
