Before leaving he lay on the hospital bed, with a faint light flashing in his eyes. He looked at the man on the screen with a cold expression but a sad look in his eyes. He laughed in a hoarse voice and said, “I’ve gone, and I’ve taken away the emotion imposed on you. After that… You’re free.”

Then, he closed his eyes, leaving a radiant legend for generations after.

However, he did not know that at the moment his hand dropped, the man who had been programmed by him for a lifetime looked stunned, and then like a madman wanted to break out.

However, the virtual him could only stand at the opposite end of the screen, collapsing as he roared….

After waking up, Bai Ruogu found himself reborn, he became an unimpressive third-rate star in the interstellar future.

He was going to live a day at a time until he turned on his smart bracelet and asked his system, “What’s your name?”

“Ah Miao.” The familiar voice made him pause.

“Which Miao?”

“Miao of Muse.” A mechanical, cold voice came from the bracelet.

(T/N: Muse in Chinese is written as: 缪斯 and Miao is the character: 缪)

Bai Ruogu froze: “Su Miao?”

The bracelet flickered and emitted a flash of light for a moment, and the entire interstellar’s artificial intelligence all collapsed……

This was an alright novel. It had a good premise but my interest waned the more I read.

ML is a cutie, and MC sticks by his promises. Those two are ride-or-die. I like that ML still sticks to the rules though and doesn't let MC break them either.

There were some plot points that didn't make sense or just felt unnecessary, like MC suddenly going into a warzone for a day or two to get some things and then leaving.

There were also a few really dumb coincidences that almost made me... more>> stop reading this. Like how MC is from thousands of years ago but somehow he is up to date on all the latest scientific equations and knows better than current researchers. A casual equation from him makes heads of institutes have to change their theories because they were wrong and have been for years, and somehow only MC figured it out. The novel repeatedly mentioned how mature and wise MC is, more so than elderly head researchers, but technically they should be about the same age.

And I found a few inconsistencies too. One is which is that MC and ML were in a relationship in MC's previous life, but MC later mentions he was single even though he had previously acknowledged that the two were together.

The ending is very rushed and is the main thing I dislike about this novel. It's like the author condensed an entire arc into one chapter. The climax is sudden and ends just as fast, followed by an extra chapter that tries to wrap everything up but feels lacklustre. It was kinda disappointing considering how interested I was when I started reading. <<less

Is not bad, but the romance is too slow, also why do it have to be described the roles the MC do each time and is very detailed, what we are interesting is the romance of the MC and ML, not the roles of the move the MC act, but apart from that is good.

It was an ok for me.

The plot. It was ok at the beginning until the end. There are humorous chapters and MC and ML are so goddamn OP. I admit that I still have questions in my mind, but I decided to go blind.

Chemistry? It's cute. This novel fell to the troupe of humans and AI being together but in a romance edition. There are times I laugh at their interactions, etc.

My overall thought is that it's pretty ok for me. Read it for your own curiosity and also recommended... more>> it to people who have time in their lives.

Spoiler

I have a question. Bai Rougu came from the modern world and I remember he was amazed by the technologies from the future.

I know he has a smart brain but how did he know to manipulate the machinery around him and also the materials?

Nah, never mind. I think author gave Bai Rougu a halo of Mary Sue.

So far, I'm 1000x more invested in the plot of the movie he's starring in than the actual plot of the novel. Even though I know it's going to have a rubbish ending.

The actual novel isn't bad but percentage-wise, I'm pretty sure we've spent more time on the movie plot than outside of it.

I guess I'm also a bit confused about the choice to make him both the godfather of mechanics but then also... an actor? Feels like it would've been better to just focus him on one aspect, the... more>> whole actor thing feel very unrelated and filler.

I also don't really understand why he and his AI are playing coy "I recognise you but I'm going to pretend I don't" games with each other.

The AI is an all powerful, all knowing entity, except when the plot requires him not to be. Like seriously, he controls literally everything, but somehow enemies can still plot... via the Internet, without him knowing. <<less

It might have 102 chapters but a very big chunk of it is just the movies MC acts in, in minute detail, and it's not even about acting, just the story.

There's no point in writing stories inside a story apart from stretching the wordcount and disrupting the actual plot, which happened here.

The characters are fine, the romance is sweet, villains are braindead and MC/ML OP, so your standard Chinese novel, no twists or turns, it's a laid back one that doesn't try to be special.

Only three stars because of the... more>> blatant inflation, how it messes with the flow, and how mediocre the novel is.

It's definitely readable and enjoyable (if you skip all the fillers), but you'll forget about it the next day. <<less

The novel itself has an element of slice of life within it. The progression of the story is smooth, the supporting characters seemed realistic, the world building is solid, and I find it interesting due to the settings. The main character is OP, but somehow it did seemed a bit 'mary sue'-ish because of the lack depth in character, such as trait weaknesses, etc. The male lead is adorable, and it is quite cute and funny that he's mostly confused about things. He's also very dedicated and shower the MC... more>> with plug-ins and cheat, pampering even while questioning human morals. The romance is gradual though, but it doesn't feel forced.

One example of their interactions:

Spoiler

ML is a deciding factor for the rewards received after a boss fight in a game (remember, he's an AI).

Another character hoping for just a recovery potion.

ML: You just lost a pair of legs and you're yelling? Anyways, just go back to the base and it will return to normal.

MC having 2.5 cm corroded wound on his fingers

ML: Injured finger? It's so serious! Does it hurt so much?! How painful is this?! *pulls out God-level healing potion*

If you're into action-filled and like conflicts for the purpose of engaging onself, I won't recommend it.

But the major 'major' reason that prompt me on writing a review is because of a supporting character. Chief-in-staff laoshi! Uwaaaaaah! You have my sympathy. Huhu.

- _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Edit: Currently at around 90 chapters

[Somehow, I can't edit the rating of the story. But if I'm able to, I'll change it to 4/5]

I do feel that the story is interesting and felt fresh but it only reach the 'good' standard and not the 'enticing' standard. I feel like there more to improve, but I don't know how to explain it. <<less

I ended up dropping it. To be honest, at some points I was more invested in learning about the side plots that happened (e.g. Some of his movie scripts etc). The chemistry between ML and MC was alright though I honestly feel like it fell a little flat. Like the other review said, the plot is ok, I did enjoy reading it for a bit but I found myself spacing out in the middle of reading and decided to drop it since nothing made me want to keep reading.

EXTREMELY FUN.

Everything else aside, just reading for the humorous effect of the ML is amazing. why is he so s*upidly cute yet the most advanced being in the story! XD

i honestly wish the translators can quickly complete this cuz it would be an even better experience for sure but... its too hard to wait- I just HAD to mtl it.

the novel still good have ended a bit better cuz it felt too rushed at the end and some info felt like it was lost in the mtl-that bit did confuse... more>> me a bit.

Overall I loved reading this especially since I was in the mood for some AI romance (though straight but this is pretty much great too) <<less

Honestly, it has been some time since I came across a novel this good and it's also unusual so it has some fresh taste to it too. I recommend reading it. I won't say much more but I really liked it and I felt satisfied even with the ending (even though the first extra could have given me her answer too instead of leaving me like this!)

The story itself might seem slow but it's fluffy and doesn't seem complicated. The MC is OP, and the romance doesn't seem like it's forced. The 'multiple planets' kind of setting is very interesting.
