MC and ML go through SO MUCH sh*t i dare say the sh*t they go through surpasses even other more well known tragedy novels out there it's insane. You do see how this affects them, and it's realistic as far as trauma goes. I will defend both MC and ML to the DEATH and i never doubted them because i felt as if they'd struggle through fire for each other. They do have their relationship issues but they're reasonable for the most part

One of the main points I liked about this is that ML NEVER MAGICALLY POOFS HIS DISABILITY AWAY like so many other novels do (even if I still enjoy reading those so what can I say lol) it's one of the main plot points for him without making it his main characteristic, which is nice to read. Plus, MC and ML, even if there are other bees and butterflies around them, never look away from each other from the start. Even if there's a rocky beginning ML likes MC fairly quickly (a little fast but has good reason within the story)

Also a fair bit of faceslapping in this one, but it's very wham bam thank you ma'am rather than long extended turning of tables. Probably more bc of the genre (compared to a rly conflict and plot heavy story that has a lot of foreshadowing and build up) this is more of a light read.
