Nice and sweet story, not too long not too short. Relatable normal MC who's got mediocre fighting and acting skills. I loved that he was pretty wholesome and truthful with his feelings and gradual in reciprocating with Ml. He goes from sh*t scared of ML to sh*t talking him and complaining why he keeps tryna kill him XD ML fell way too fast imo. He a nice dude with trauma and revenge, & he changes for MC

Surprisingly there isn't any angst with a yandere Ml, he's a good type of... more>> yandere. (Won't take no for an answer but whatev MC likes him too) <<less

All the great reviews convinced me to read this, but I really wasn't a fan.

The only characters who have something of a personality are the MC and ML, and even they feel flat and lifeless.

Descriptions are greatly lacking too. There are many moments that suffer from white room syndrome, where I wish the area were better described. The descriptions of characters, especially secondary characters, are very lacking as well.

The MC being in love comes out of nowhere, with no sign it's about to happen. It's like he flips a switch,... more>> with no indication of when the switch was even flipped.

The ML's character development is done a lot better. He doesn't fall in love with the first person to show him kindness, and instead it takes quite a few actions from the MC before the ML falls for him. The fact that there are no non-con scenes helps elevate this ML compared to many. The ML is really the best part of this story.

The story has editors, but I found many errors such as 'Cladded in Mount Jade Dwelling's unique white robes', which should have been 'Clad' with no '-ded', and other spelling and punctuation mistakes.

I also didn't like the art that was joined with the story. The art style was not to my tastes, and brought my opinion of the story down.

Basically, this story felt bland and the characters were too flat for me to care much.

Since this story is so short and it has been completed, it's not much of a time investment. Take a look if you want, but don't expect hidden depths. <<less

This is pretty good, . Great casual read.

The MC was a mediocre disciple while the ML was an outstanding disciple in the story.

Their relationship is pretty wholesome and the gradual change in their feelings are pretty understandable. All the ML wanted was someone to care of him. As the MC stated in the start of the story.

This didnt come as a surprise (there were some hints but yrs had passed) but also an interesting side story that the original ML of the original story actually realised he likes his senior brother of the same sect. He realised it after understanding what 'love' is, especially understanding why ML would turn to demonic cultivation for MC

everything is dust compared towards those they care for.

Sweet story.

The Plot was laid out well and the MC's reactions seemed genuine. The fact that MC did not feel scared or doubt the ML when the slightly yandere parts came out was awesome. There is not much drama as such and everything is predictable but it is still a good story for a light read.

Cute shorter story. This trope has been done a million times before, but you'll find:

  • MC who isn't super dumb or innocent or powerless
  • MC actually uses system cheats to do things that are inexplicable or to overcome difficulties that would otherwise have probalby killed him <- hey, this can be considered a form of skill
  • MC who is just a tiny bit honorable/tsundere/in-denial
  • No forcing, even if the ML is OP and demonic and a bit evil
  • Cute supporting cast
Overall a pretty entertaining and enjoyable read. Nothing melodramatic or too cheesy compared to other... more>> novels with similar plot. The novel's only negative is that it's too short to truly differentiate itself from similar transmigration/rehabilitate villain type stories. But the pacing is good and the compact style is beneficial to the storytelling.

5/5 Short, simple and sweet. My rating has to do with how much I enjoyed reading despite the flaws it has.

This is really the cliché type of novel of a villain falling in love with our MC, which isn't bad but it isn't nothing new so don't be hard on this lovely short novel.

MC and ML are really sweet to each other. Both have a really nice and healthy relationship despite ML being a yandere. He only cares about MC's safety and feelings so he disregards almost everything else.

A flaw... more>> you might get is that yes, they do fall in love quite fast but it doesn't feel wrong becuase they are just too cute. It's a short story so a lot of their possible interactions are less than what you would want unlike other novels where you would have 80+ chapters with more time to digest of them falling in love.

I read this after reading a somewhat heavy novel so it was a nice change of pace and it fulfilled my crave for some fluff.

Translations were really good! Although I had a problem entering the website so I had to save each chapter to offline reading before it crashed and it was quite troublesome (not sure if it's only me or anyone else) <<less

This is such a cute and loving story!

The MC initially just wanted to survive and get back home but he began to treat ML as a friend and after being confessed to, he began to see him as a lover~

ML is someone who hides his evilness behind his gentlemanly facade. He's initially just focused on getting revenge for his clansmen and sees MC as someone he should probably kill. But after getting saved by MC a few times, he began to see him in a different light and ended up... more>> falling for him.

Although the romance is kind of fast (but well, its a short novel, so...), it's really sweet and cute! <<less

we didn't get to see a proper xxxscene only the one scene where ML did it with MCs thighs... Don't get me wrong I don't specifically care for a smut scene in this short story it's just if you're going to go into detail on them nearly going all the way you may as well just wright the scene instead of skipping over the "first time" entirely then in the future suddenly fade to black censoring it in the extras or should I say fade to forest & animals hiding lmao.

Loved it. For a short novel this is actually quite underrated. Albeit a select few hiccups (given the short span) it was great. Would recommend this short read anytime for a refreshing breath of air.

Recommended if you're looking for blackbellied-yandere-shidi x shixiong.

Our MC (shixiong) is weak and works hard to keep his life, by working hard to not be killed by ML and prevent ML from kill another person. At least he's not a coward (looking sideways to Airplane bro from SVSSS)

Our ML, one that got me surprised, is a gentleman and mature. Yes he's a scheming, sometimes deceive our MC, yandere but he's a gentle-yandere. I love how he manage our MC lol

I found ML different from usual Shidi x shixiong trope,... more>> which where ML (shidi) will usually act childish, vinegar-jar, overbearing, and acting spoiled towards MC (shixiong). I got this gentleman, elegant vibes from ML.

I love the story bcs it's short and has things that I expected from this kind of story and surprisingly the author do it good.

I feel this has potential in the long run, I wish it was longer. I want to see how it will turn out if it's long ver, especially the plot, story flow and the world building. <<less

I would give this 4.5 stars.

It's reaaaallyyy cute and fluffy... but there is also quite a bit of action.

I read it in one go since it wasn't too long and the story leaves you with a sweet feeling.

The only thing I could criticize is that the ML fell in love a bit too randomly. Although we do have a reason ... more>>

Super cute, it doesn't have much s#x because it focuses more on romance, I prefer it that way, if you don't, I still recommend it, but don't read waiting for it.

A nice and short read! There are 29 chapters in total (and then some extras), so expect it to be a bit fast paced. There isn't any other conflict except for the main one. The story is really focused on MC and ML going along the plot of the original novel. There's not much world building or any in-depth character development. It's just simple, sweet and cute. And that's okay!

If you need to read something light, I can recommend this one.

3.25*, this felt more like a comprehensive outline than a full novel. There was some transition missing and forced plots. It did hold my attention enough to finish it all including the extras, but I probably won't ever read again.

Unpopular opinion, at last compared to other reviewers, but I didn't like the ML that much and their relationship was weirdly forced by the author.

He then breaks the original blood curse by overwritting it with his own blood curse, but when MC asks if the ML can now free him of the blood curse, ML refuses, because he wants to tie the MC to him..... He says he is so in love with the MC but doesn't listen to him for anything

As for the MC, I really couldn't tell that he was falling for the ML, felt more like MC was suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

The system here was okay, not as annoying as most systems are. It was a little more intelligent and caring than most systems.

The extras were okay, I wasn't into the side couple and the alt reality modern time one ended too quickly.

Also I agree with another reviewer about the art, wasn't a fan. It was the eyes I think that bugged me, the chibi versions were okay. Translation was good, thank you translators! <<less

I wish this story lasted a little longer. It was cute and romantic, not as much drama and misunderstanding as other BL transmigration novel. I also love that the main character is open minded enough not to constantly throw the "I'm straight af. No homo" mindset out there so often. Although it was fast paced, I still think it flowed nicely.

I really, really wanted at least one kiss scene for the 2nd couple!!! They were cute too!! Their story was definitely based on "love at first sight" in my opinion,... more>> even though we literally only have two chapters about their relationship. Lol. I still love them.

Let's just say that the main couple are practically Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu (but he lowkey makes me think of Shang Qinghua instead), and the side couple are Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian (but he lowkey makes me think of Nie Huaisang too.)

I'm giving this a review because this is really good! If you're into stories that's short, but precise, not too draggy and doesn't have unnecessary scenes, this is for you. I really like modern novel more, but this novel is one of the novel that changed my mind to read more stories like this. This is really great, thanks to the author and translators! Thank goodness I never listened to bad reviews lol.

This is so good, though the plot is indeed predictable for me it's not in a bad way.

No r*pe, No annoying female cannon fodders, the possessiveness of seme is just cute not in a disturbing way, The original main character didn't become a villain, and the couple has this vibe called "US AGAINST THE WORLD"

The system is soooo funny when it detected the MC changed the genre of the original novel,

Overall the MC and ML, just needed each other, they don't give an F if the entire world doesn't... more>> like them ANNNNDDD I like that mood, just straight up diabetes!!!!

Aaaah what a sweet series !! Quite short but this is basically what most transmigration villain x mob novel at its core. Perfect for those trying out to see whether they like the genre or not ! Absolutely in love with the main CP.
