I just want to say that I love this novel so much! Just my cup of tea, so much fluffiness. You can feel the love MC and ML have for each other. So honest, so sincere! MC is pure, cute and honest. ML is so protective of MC. And like the big brother of MC. He is cold, but actually loves MC so much!

I left this comment after read this novel for second time!!

THIS IS SO GOOD! ♡♡♡♡♡ First of all, the MC is such a lovable character! It's one of the few MCs who made me feel like "I want to protect him!" or like "I don't want him to be sad : (". He is a very positive character (which I personally feel like I can learn a lot from his attitude in life). His inner thoughts are extremely funny too that it always cracked me up.

I find the ML kinda different from the typical overbearing, OP MLs. I like how the author depicted the inner turmoil in the ML, as it gave the ML a more realistic touch and it feels more relatable. And he is such a great boyfriend/husband material (why does he not exist irl QAQ).

The side characters were very well depicted too! I love almost all of them, especially MC's big bro ♡ He's such a sweetheart tbh (he looks cold on the outside but he really has a warm heart inside).

I understand some people hate the ML's ex boyfriend, but honestly he was not that annoying to the extent that I want to crush him into pieces. His mindset and beliefs are just different from MC and ML.

Also, this novel is so hilarious and touching at the same time. I cried so many times (not because it's sad, but I was so touched by the relationships between the characters that I cried).

I find the pacing of this novel quite good, in a sense that I didn't realise when I have finished this novel. It wasn't as if the story is left hanging, nor it is getting draggy.

Overall, it was a really satisfying and toothache- and diabetes-inducing (from too much sweetness!) read. Much love for the author ♡

I have to say that the intro is what really intrigued me, to be honest. I like these types of stories. I like characters like the MC he is very sweet and endearing who doesn't really have a filter so he just says what's on his mind without thinking about how to say it. But he isn't meaning it in a mean way. I love the way he tries to warn people from things but he's the one who looks bad but it's so cute.

The one thing I want to... more>> say THAT I ABSOLUTELY ADORE! Is his mother. I was so happy to read a novel where the mother actually loves her child and doesn't try to hurt him. She is also not a mistress despite what the MC's grandpa thinks and that makes me happier about her character. She is so encouraging to her son even if she was the one to kind of force him into acting. But he took everything with stride and was willing to learn whatever he could for whatever position he was in.

As for the ML, I think the little moments of him reading people's minds especially the MC is hilarious because that little mind drifts off in other places so it makes the ML slip up and I find that particularly adorable especially when they're supposed to act together.

The brother of the MC I never really had a problem with him despite him being really cold to the MC in the first chapter I still thought the older brother cared for his younger brother. I can't wait to see personal growth between the brothers. <<less

Don't expect that this is will be drama, fantasy or psychological depths. Although you didn't. (I guess) well it's interesting. MC was dishonestly offended by parents, because of his personality and special his character, other people consider him like arrogant and useless wealthy. (I mean that he isn't character who has no problems at all. Not many drama, but he doesn't merely happy wealthy who acts for fun and can't decide what he wants.)

Honestly it's has many things I don't like. This is people's opinion about MC which... more>> changes very quickly, because of his talent. Because story speciality, was in that other people see him like cold and poison-mouthed, but he is sincere person, isn't it?

ML's lover who really annoys me his obsession thoughts like "what will think my boyfriend if I will fail? " His permanent self-doubt and hesitations. (I very good understand this feelings, this is my character, but this is doesn't mean, that he doesn't irritate me)

ML is soft-hearted and poor at understanding people. One girl fooled him easily, he had wrong opinion about MC and even his boyfriend is worthless.

This is just fun and amusing. I consider novel, as comedy about talented (overpowered) actor. Perhaps, acting still not bad. If looking from this side, this is good. <<less

Aaaaah. Such a cute novel. Their relationship developed naturally, and everything was so vivid. This is the only entertainment industry themed book where I could really picture the main character’s movies (and desperately wish I could see them).

The translator is good, and the MTL of the later chapters was really easy to read. 10/10 would recommend!

That is just AWESOME ≧ω≦!!

The story is really fresh:

- it has a completely unique setting among the other novels. (Who may have thought that you can write a good story without transmigration or rebith (kidding)

... more>> - the relationships develop slowly and steady, and the overall story pase is smooth

- love rival is a normal human being, not a complete scum, this is a good example of a natural-feeling love triangle

There are not many well-written bl novels out there. QWFOD was the best in transmigration series. Moxiang Tongxiu's works are best among wuxia. And this one is my favourite among entertainment. <<less

NOTE: Used a MTL website to finish it. So some details may be fuzzy, but it’s complete.

A very sweet story focused on the couple’s development with hints of drama here and there. The romance was paced well but soon quicken. All villains were dealt with, but must say, there were just pop up villains sometimes. Family interactions were also cute and, of course, couple interactions were just pure sugar. Very nice story. Just a few eh’s here and there, but it’s ignorable. 4.5 rounding to 5.

Our MC is just pure and cute. He doesn’t immediately recognize his feelings, but he does eventually. I felt that the realization was kind of fast, but I guess it’s understandable with him. The ML was struggling with his emotions especially with his lover and then the awakening bud of love for the MC. He was soft to his lover, but he didn’t fool himself with this one sided love. I always felt that the get together was rushed. But it didn’t really take away any assets of the plot. It just added more sugar to it all. There was someone against the couple (MC’s mother) and that was also understandable. It’s just the novel portrayed her as a very aggressive person. Very sweet romance

I must say, there was a lot of unexpectedness out there. The drama was a sub plot of the main romance really. I wished it was a main part of it though. There was always hint of suspense here and there. (Hints of the trauma MC has, his phobias, sharing his past; it’s obvious something happened) But it did not really effected the relations as much as it should have. It was not until the end that it just poured out. All the dog blood drama you could have, you did have. It was unexpected too. There was hints, but none of it involved Chen Manni or Liu Wei. I admit, the most of the novel was the romance with white washing, and then it was as if the forgotten drama was finally added. Of course, there was ex lover drama, but it barely added spice to the story.

I wish the MC could have made friends. Or interacted with friends. Or something non ML related. Or family related. Just, you know, friendship related. Some side characters were introduced but they were mainly there to fill the additional dialogue or drive the plot. None of them heavily interacted with the MC or ML. (Other than the assistant or family) And I wish some of them would interact more with them. Pure sugar is nice but sometimes some cake or toffee is nice too.

OVERALL:

The story is mainly focused on the main couple. Everything and anything is meant to drive the couple together. Which is both a pro and con of the story. I wish some of my questions could have been answered, but that will only be possible with an epilogue. If you like a cute couple spreading dog food for all to taste, then there is no harm in reading the novel. Just a fair warning that it’s not a perfectly smooth rounded story, there’s some bumps here and there. <<less

Woow very very cute! I read some of the more negative reviews, but so far everything has been great.

Characters: 5/5

I love MC, he's tender at heart but also strong and self-assured (in a non-arrogant way). It's also adorable how much he adores ML (in a fan-idol type of way). ML so far is also great, he's genuinely a good person and totally pampering of the person he loves (even though it's not MC yet). Side characters are also not bad, I love the mom and I'm totally prepared to love... more>> the brother.

Plot: 5/5

I like the idea of the story. Sure, in reality telepathy would be way more annoying than this story writes it to be, but it's still quite entertaining. I also love the drama they're shooting; if someone knows something similar, tell me so I can watch it! I love strong brotherly love, and I even cried reading those scenes tbh.

Writing & Translation: 5/5

I love this book so much!!!
I liked FOD and saw this novel was from the same author. I started this on Friday night (which was a mistake by the way bc I end up not sleeping). I just love the plot and characters. The story about our ML who had accident and end up hearing people thoughts and so begin his discovery of people real personalities.

The MC is my little turtle, he soooo cute awwwhfhfhffjf. His thoughts remind me a bit of the MC from "i ship my adversaryXMe" except he is more cute than funny and a bit childish hahaah

Our Ml? ML is bae okay??? He reminds a bit of the ML from "dont pick up your boyfriend...). He's calm, respectful, mature and faithful okay? Because let say the truth he did not cheat on his boyfriend or did not start having feelings for our MC (only laughing at his thoughts and start to understand him that's all) while he was in relationship. I felt regret for his ex-boyfriend because he lost such an amazing BF material and I understand too he did not love our ML enough. However at the same time no big regret I don't care I don't care I want my Mains together sksksksdhdh.

It's a light read book, fluffy really FLUFFY and cute. Wish somebody would recommend me something like this again cause I want more I want more >_< >_<

I loved reading this novel. I read this last year and re-read it a second time. The ML gained the ability to hear other people’s thoughts but it doesn’t make his character overpowered. He just comes to realize that some people are not what they seem and not to judge people due to their appearance or first impression.

Excellent start so far. I do like the misunderstandings around the MC, and it's so rare for a novel to take a disliked protagonist and actually run with it a significant period of time. It makes the development of the ML's admiration for the MC more organic and interesting. And of course, I have a huge weakness for acting stories, and this does a pretty good job there.

I finished the novel in two days and must say it was sooooooooo sweet.

Usually I don't read this type of novel, but I gave it a try after I knew it was the same author as FOD and don't regret about it.

Okay I admit in the begining that I was relutant about the ML, but as time pass by they grow stickier and sweetier, I must consider treating my cavities after getting stuffed with so much sweet. They are made for each other like two halfs of a circle. Xiao... more>> shu is the cutest cinammon roll.

Anyway the novel can really touch your heartstrings. I cried not once, but five times. Give a try. <<less

Editing my review 2 years later. The summary includes this, "This is a story about the rise of the acting-fanatic, Xiao Jiashu, as he silences his haters and wows the world with his magnificence." Which in itself tells you all you need to know on how this novel was going to go down and with that in mind I was able to enjoy it. It's uber sweet. It's an easy read. I think this can also be considered as a slow burn. Overall if you just want a bit of... more>> entertainment and a breather from plot heavy novels, consider taking this one up. <<less

So I stumbled upon this novel by pure chance and I feel like I had found a treasure. This novel is very good from different aspects starting from the plot, the characters, and the development of each character (especially our MC and ML).

From the beginning, our MC was pictured as a cold and dense rich boy. He is gifted with talent in acting but his dens actions made people misunderstand him as a bad guy (he is annoyingly cute) then our ML distasted him at the beginning.

Our ML gift (reading... more>> mind) was not a curse it was a blessing. Preying on people's minds is not fun at all as it is very distressing. But it was a blessing to make our MC and ML solve the misunderstanding between them.

This novel is quite good for a fluffy reading and also has a good plot. It takes you on an adventure of ups and downs. Makes you laugh, angry, giggle like a s*upid, or even feel secondhand embarrassed. <<less

I don't like the MC, and it has nothing to do with the bad personality he had at the beginning of the novel, I understand that the author's intention is that he is supposed to serve as a contrast for when he acquires mind reading skills, something like that like "I was acting like an idiot just because I didn't know the truth" but that's not what makes me not like it, I didn't stop reading in the first chapters, I got to the end, what makes me not like... more>> it is that: I don't consider him worthy of the ML, the ML is a sugar cube and has a very good personality, I doubt there is a reader who doesn't like him, but the MC is really annoying, even after reading minds, it takes him too long to leave his boyfriend and no, I do not accept the excuse that you have been together for years so you cannot leave him, regardless of whether there is ML or not, the point is that your boyfriend does not enjoy being with you, and does not feel physical attraction towards you, but rather he out of obligation to get something from you, you know it but you don't do anything?? A rational person would say "let's break up, we're hurting each other" but not the MC, he wants to live in willful ignorance, pretend like he didn't discover anything for a long time and stay with his partner, even if he doesn't touch him but he's still her boyfriend. And continues to support him like a sugar daddy with resources, if it weren't for the fact that the situation with his partner became more and more unsustainable (the person was increasingly greedy and asked for more back doors for the MC to open) he would never have finished it For me, this is a very cowardly attitude, like wanting to escape reality, you know he doesn't like you but you still want to deny it and move on, WTF! For this and other reasons I do not consider him worthy of the ML and I even less like him as the protagonist, he is the reason why the novel has some low ratings. <<less

I always forgotten that I read this novel before and never finished. It's probably because the ML and his bf relationship annoyed me, and the author really made the bf bad just because he insured?. I honestly don't get how MC is written so naively. He was discriminate since young and you telling me he that naive? He sensitive to people emotions but sometimes he don't? Like please just pick one!!

It's a good fluffy read that will satisfy you with enough face slapping and dog food. Don't listen to those people that the ML is not good for the MC because as far as I read, he rational and sensible with his powers. On the side of LLY, I don't know what others have seen on him to pity him, but for me he is not really good and was already had a straight character from the start lol.

JI MIAN IS REALLY THE BEST ML. VERY GENTLE, THOUGHTFUL, HANDSOME AND SUPER f*ck 😭😭🥲

OH OH OH, AND XJS IS REALLY CUTE 😭😭😭😭 ONE OF MY FAVORITE MCs FOR ENTERTAINMENT GENRE. HE IS FUNNY AND CONSISTENT. FROM THE BEGINNING HE REALLY REALLY SHINED.

THEY ARE VERY SWEET TILL THE END. BEST PDA SPREADER. BUT I DON'T EVEN FEEL ENOUGH. I WANT MORE 😭😭😭😭

I WILL DEFINITELY MISS THIS WORK. AMAZE ME
