Definitely don't read it in public if you want to protect yourself😂... my mother branded me as a lunatic watching me with a creepy ass smile plastered on my face the whole time lol.

It's really so funny... never have I ever thought something could be written like this.

WYZ is such a shou... he definitely is a comedian. He be like "what I do for love".. lol...I felt through so much of second hand embarrassment because of him... there is no explanation.

And about GYL...i don't know what exactly happened... how he... more>> came along... the plot is an enigma... if you miss a part... you will be like what just happened.😂😂😂 <<less

In this period of time where everything is bleak and dark. This story has filled my heart with good feelings. It's like me watching the first episode of Queer Eye.

I first thought that this would be a story where dog blood drama exists and I'd be fed with glass shards but I was wrong. Our leads are the kind of people you'd want to have in your life. Funny but at the same time mature, Wei ge (shou) despite being pitted against by fans against Yiliang (gong) doesn't get carried... more>> away with it, and neither does Yiliang put much stock into what his fans say but he does understand that their (baseless) warnings come from a good place.

The small commentary on stan culture was on point too, a lighthearted criticism of how fans interact (the good and the bad) with their bias, when it comes to our idols we really do end up being way too emotionally invested that sometimes we cross the lines. At the same time Wei ge's innocent thoughts about shipping culture is funny and lighthearted. To quote Wei ge, "

Pray tell, when the entire internet indulges in bickering about the non-existent enmity and hatred between you and your adversary, what does it mean when a minority of them persevere in believing the romance and love that was completely non-existent between you and your adversary? Just what exactly does that mean?

This was a declaration of righteousness and love! This meant that only goodness and beauty existed in their hearts!

So long as everyone devoted a little love, the world would turn into a wonderful place!"

The story isn't done being translated but from these four chapters alone I already know that this would give the same good and warm feelings the same way as Love You 59 seconds.

Therefore I'd recommend this story to readers who like entertainment industry stories without the dog blood drama, or someone who'd like to start reading queer fiction. The translator did a good job and I can feel the amount of care the author has put into writing this light story. <<less

This thing, I very much recommend not reading this in a public place. Read it in the comfort of your home without sitting near anyone especially not near sleeping people.

It's so f*ck*ng fluff that you'll be screaming and throwing nearby things. The MC's embarrassment is the reader's embarrassment.

Most lines you'll just have to stop and scream then move on to the next line only to repeat the same frenzy.

The MC is just so lovably naive constantly making me shout "MC! For once, shut your trap up lest you wanna be... more>> gobbled up whole by the ML!"

I'm absolutely amazed that I can enjoy reading in first person this much and I'm enjoying it very much because the protagonist is just adorable? He's so funny? Everyone pits him against this other actor but he just doesn't see why, and then when he finds the World of Shipping filled with fan works with him and his 'rival' he gets so ridiculously, relatably invested and it's just great. Plus his dramatic reactions to himself making social mistakes? Valid.

His rival's thought process is just as engaging, hovering around... more>> tolerant and amused and then oh you know downright smitten with the protagonist (his 'cute' counter is iconic), and I just really enjoy seeing these two interacting in person, alongside the anecdotes of learning about each other from diving online. It's, altogether, so cute. I'm grateful to the translator for picking this up!

Edit: It is now chapter 13 and I take none of this back. They're my babies and this is just so enormously cute and funny I can't handle it. ? <<less

I'm speechless; I had to type this 3 times because I kept typoing--

This story deserves *WARNING do not read in public* plastered all over it because if you do, you'll end up dying or throwing your keyboard and become branded as a lunatic like m--

It's just so good and hilarious!! So far, the MC, despite being frickin' adorable when talking about his rivalry, is already shown to also be frickin' badass when defending his friends. He has the best internal monologues. I love it.... more>> ML is so cute too! They're portrayed like real people and with understanding of their profession and their fans. Ugh, just too sweet.

I was super tempted to read the raws BUT the translation is so damn precious I am willing to wait. Big thumbs up and thank the translators for their hard work!

I was surprised knowing that it was first person narrative, I don't usually read them, but made an exception. I truly don't regret it~

The MC is so lovable and hilarious, he's unintentionally so smooth that I choked up many times. Also, his inner monologues are so funny, I can't keep up. Don't even start on the misunderstandings hahaha, such a serotonin booster when you are feeling down.

It's such a fluffy and sweet novel, one of my favorites!!! Truly recommend this~ Also, the fact that both of them bent themselves due to misunderstandings lmao.

I read upto chapter 31 and then MTLed the rest, definitely missed so many puns, wordplay and jokes. That's why we should be grateful to the translators who translate them for FREE. Please appreciate them more. I don't regret reading the MTL though. <<less

This story is just full of sugar and fluff. Very cute and funny!

Read through the raws in 1 day. Had me laughing throughout the read~ It might seem illogical at first (like why can he get good resources in the entertainment circle despite being 3rd tier, and why is he paired with a better tiered actor like the ML) but it gets explained later on~

I love the POVs from ML inserted among the MC's, but there should totally be more of them.

"What was air? What was breathing? These were all unnecessary. All I needed was to enjoy this fluff, and it was enough to sustain my body functions, allowing me to thrive on healthily to a great old age." -I empathize with the MC's state of mind in this paragraph to a ridiculously high extent.

This novel cured the depression, anxiety and gastritis I acquired from the excessive intake of dogblood ab*se angst novels. I think I even toned my abs with all the heavy fangirling I did. I squealed snickered and... more>> screamed so loud, Curled up and rolled around in bed cackling like a madman and even cheered while jumping up and down... all around 3am. And I was a bit too enthusiastic about it that my parents had to come up and confirm my sanity only to find me with a s*upid dazed smile stuck on my face.... While they might now doubt my sanity, I Regret Nothing!😌💘💕

Our ML, Gu Yiliang, is the perfect boyfriend material. A little awkward and a little black bellied but fully respectful and adorable little baby!

He's a natural at innocent inadvertent seduction much to MC's chagrin. Their relationship made accelerated progress all cause of him overhearing a call from MC's father (Old Huang) and mistaking him as his (MC's) sugar daddy. He literally smoked himself out of straightness (over the course of 3🚬) and volunteered himself as MC's "sugar daddy" to replace his real dad and 'protect' MC from the 'dark side' of entertainment industry😂 And then became extremely lost on how to proceed and what to do cause he didn't want to make their relationship a purely transactional one.

Please don't judge him... he's just an awkward, pure and precious little gong~ a rare breed that must be protected

Our MC? Wei Yanzi is 💯% a cinnabun! A soft yet mature little cutie but is fully equipped, strong and ready to fight when it comes to protecting his man or ship!

He's actually a little smartie with his high retention memory which he uses mostly on remembering all the little& big things about the ML. The way he stood up to ML's stepmom who was trying to leech money off ML and refuted each of her accusations/fake evidences was just beautiful.

He became his ship's most ardent yet unnameable shipper and slowly but surely shipped himself into true feelings! so adorable yet so funny😂🤭

For the side characters- Little Chen, the MC's assistant is the best wingman!! And Old Huang is a riot too.

The translator's done a great job and I'll definitely read it at BlackBoxTL once they've uploaded the rest. But I just couldn't hold it in so I MTLed the raws for last 7 chapters. It was pretty intelligible. I couldn't find the extras anywhere tho.

This is the perfect type of fluff for me. And has officially become my safe haven for healing from all the angst/tragedy that I like to ab*se myself with. Do give it a try! <<less

Good story. Usually big misunderstandings quickly become frustrating but it wasn't the case here, the whole thing was genuinely funny. Simple plot, likeable MC and ML, pretty much 40+ chapters of dog food.

I'm removing a star because:

  • (-0, 5) The translation has been dropped just 7 chapters away from the ending. Just why. I tried reading chapter 41 to 47 using raw translations but it was honestly incomprehensible. I know translations should NOT impact a rating, but in this case it was just too irritating for me. So close to the end. Now there's no way for anyone who can't read chinese to know the ending of this story, so it just ends abruptly and you feel like an idiot who got blueballed.
  • (-0, 5) Not a fan of 1st time s*x scenes involving alcohol. It's fine to have s*x while inebriated if it's an established long-term relationship and the characters are comfortable with each other (and as a result know each other's boundaries). But the 1st time interc**rse between the main couple? Then it falls into dubcon category for me which is a massive shame. As an author, why would you do this? Why add alcohol into the mix when you can simply write your characters having fully consensual sex? There's nothing appealing about it.
All in all, still worth a... more>> read. Mostly because of MC and ML who are both very charming. <<less

Amazing story, build up of UST and fluff all the way. Highly recommended.

The only con of this story is the incredibly slow translation. Ive dropped it for now, will revisit it later on, considering by the time the novel is done translated, I'll probably have two grandkids by then.

...I’ve only read 2 chapters, but it somehow got me hooked?!

It’s written in a way that makes you fall for the MC, and though the ML haven’t shown up yet, he’s been introduced in a way that makes you look forward to their encounters.

I can already imagine having to book an appointment at the dentist from all the fluff and sweetness. (O//O)

A hilariously meta story about an actor that becomes an rpf shipper... of himself and his main rival. Super super funny - the first half is probably the highest laugh per word story I've read in a long time. There are a couple of tropey over the top developments in the second half, but still enjoyable and very fluffy. The s*x is also refreshingly realistic (ally disastrous) and not problematic.

An easy and entertaining read. I'd give it more stars if I could!
