Ok this sounds bizarre and kind of creepy but it's actually not very horror-y at all and not angsty, it's kind of romantic. At the start of the novel they have already been together for 10 years so there's already an established relationship from the start, the focal point is the MC gradually finding out that the ML is not human and the ML trying to hide it (because he is afraid MC won't love him anymore if he finds out) and the whole pregnancy process. The only "horror" there is is just the description of the ML and some other creatures, it's pretty tame in my opinion. I was actually not sure about starting this novel but I really liked it, so I recommend it!

She is not interested in escaping and fighting for her life, she simply wants to eat and drink comfortably and plans to die a comfortable death (su*cide) if her supplies run out or if she encounters zombies. I found her relatively realistic, I could relate to her mindset a bit. She's not especially outstanding and there were some things I disagreed with but all in all I didn't have a problem with her, since her actions/feelings/mindset were not unjustified (e.g. due to her past). She undergoes a lot of change (mindset, physical capabilities etc.) throughout the novel, mostly due to the ML. It's practically them two against the world which, of course, creates a really special bond between them.It's not the standard action oriented apocalyptic novel; of course there are action elements, but it's not the focal point and there are no OP characters, although the ML is really strong and resourceful. It's primarily a slice of life with many seemingly mundane moments, but that made it somewhat realistic. There are a lot of ups and downs, it made me laugh, cry and honestly made me think about a lot. The ML is the MVP of the story and has, let's just say, an unusual past and special circumstances. So for a long time we are left wondering what that is all about which adds another factor that keeps the interest. The romance takes some time to develop and does so realistically, so I won't complain.It has less than 60 chapters but they aren't short, it took longer than expected to finish. I read the rest of the novel through mtl and didn't have a lot of difficulty understanding it. Some parts may seem a little boring but that's just the slice of life aspect of it, it was enjoyable and unique (the origin of the "zombie outbreak" surprised me as well as the fact that there even was a realistic origin), I will definitively be thinking about it for some time.2022 <<less

This is nothing that will make you contemplate life, and the plot isn't particulary original but what makes this special is the character dynamic: Childhood friends with a little age gap and the ML indulging and spoiling the MC gently, regardless of their current relationship status. The MC is not a flat character; he sometimes behaves wilfully so he's not without flaws or perfect, but he's still a genuine and nice person that can bend and stretch if he wants to.Some topics like (emotional/psychological) child neglect were handled a little lightly (although they weren't glossed over), I didn't take the novel too seriously so it didn't bother me too much, but it's true that the... more>> topic is very serious and complicated and could have been treated even more seriously.All in all I recommend it, it kept me engaged enough to finish it even after the plot points that interested me the most were finished, because there were always new ones, not in the way where you can't catch a break, but in the way where you finish reading even the 10 extras with curiosity :)

There are actually not a lot of s*x scenes, it's about the daily life of two people who have struggles and honestly kind of randomly start dating and living together, so they aren't in love with each other from the start, we get to see them slowly falling in love and coexisting.
