Y’all I have diabetes this story was so sweet and VERY different from the usual overbearing CEO a romance!

Because our FL is an alpha and our ML is an omega in a lot of ways their roles are reversed because she is the one who wears the pants in the relationship. However, both sides love and respect the other a lot so you don’t feel that either side is pushy.

The best way to describe the FL is that she is like a “little milk dog”. If you’ve read any Chinese... more>> romance novels you’ll know that the cute younger boyfriend character is often referred to as a little milk dog and this is exactly our FL. She’s very cute, loyal, naive, and pampers the ML a lot. She wants to protect him and care for him because she finds him so adorable and lovely. While she’s not confrontational she won’t people bully her either. My favourite thing about her is that she’s not shy about speaking words of love or bedroom matters because in her mind why should she be shy? She’s just telling her legitimate lover that she loves him and she wants him. What’s wrong with that? Nothing!

I really like that the author subverts stereotypes by not making her an older sister type character because typically when girls take on the roles that are traditionally carved out for men, they have to embody traditionally masculine traits. You often see this with women in high ranking positions in the workforce. To prove that they are worthy of their roles, they have to act tough and unfeeling. But obviously, as we should all know, you can be a strong woman without acting like a man!!!

Compared to the FL, our ML’s character is a little more cliche because he does have the big shot CEO thing going for him but he’s such a face-saving tsundere that it’s funny. Like this man thinks he can’t eat egg tarts in public or tell people his favourite movie genre is comedy because it’ll ruin his mighty president image. I do love that his character is consistent from beginning to end though. His personality doesn’t automatically do a 180 because of love.

I can’t speak to logic of the ABO world setting because I don’t usually read this genre but I mean it worked for the story?

Overall, this story is definitely worth reading and a treasure among this genre! <<less

A story about a cute Alpha female x CEO Omega male?, count me in!!. This premise is so rare it is a gem. I wonder why there aren't many stories like this. Because I'm sick of reading about domineering/cold/rich/handsome alpha male leads. So this novel is refreshing.

An excellent novel, very well-written and with compelling, soft and sweet characters (hehe)

The plot is not dramatic nor dog-blood, but simply the sweet and fluffy interactions between both leads~~
Although Ruan Ruan can be very fierce when she wants too ^^

specially love how sweet Ruan Ruan is when taking care of Jiang during his menstrual period, although it’s a bit of an unusual take in omega verse, but makes sense still

There are some plots that could be more developed or were straight up abandoned

such as the system and her mission, the original owner’s uncle and aunt, Jiang’s parents, whatever happened to that one girl who drugged the ml, and whatever truly happened with the original owner

The Mpreg part only really comes about the last three chapters, but it’s still very sweet, so good

The relationship between Jiang Yanzhan and Ruan Ruan is something everyone on earth should strive for.

It's healthy, balanced, lovely, understanding, consensual AND improves both people in major ways while minimizing their flaws.

Ruan Ruan is literally the sweetest little thing in the whole universe. She's so considerate and attentive to Jian Yanzhan that sometimes I WANT TO BE HIM! AND I'M A TOP!

At some point in the story, Jian Yanzhan tried to seduce Ruan Ruan by taking off the bracelet that keeps his heat hormones in check. He was expecting her to push him down, but instead, she just put his bracelet back on while keeping her hands to herself. CONSENT PEOPLE! WE HAVE A CONSENSUAL RELATIONSHIP IN THE HOUSE!

She is super considerate and always takes account of Yanzhans' emotions before doing anything. She never does anything that Yanzhan doesn't like and is very patient with him.

Yanzhan is very self-conscious about his identity as an omega. He feels inferior to others even though he's very rich and powerful, all because of his identity as an omega. Gradually as the story progresses, he began to accept his identity and started to pay less attention to that part of himself. Even to the point where he's willing to have a BABYYYYYY! ° •., ' * (๑' ❥ `๑) *., •

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! HELL YEAH!

Overall a very light and sweet read. There isn't much world-building to speak of, but I highly respect the author for giving the ABO setting a little bit of thought. Usually, ABO has nonsense logic and no laws and regulations to fit the setting so that the two MLs/FLs could meet and instantly start rolling in the sheets bc the FL forgot her 'heat pills' or got drugged and SOMEHOW the government still hasn't thought about a safety prevention act for that...

Yeah, I'm v passionate if you can't tell.

Anyway,

There isn't much plot. It has a very slow and slice of life feel. Flowers bloom everytime the two leads are on screen and I get my daily dose of happiness and fluff. Good stuff right there.

MTL is relatively easy to read and for the sentences that don't make sense, just take the sentence from the raw and make it go through another machine translation app/website. It usually works lmao.

Our MC is a female alpha student/beauty blogger who looks really soft and cute like a typical omega, while our ML is a male omega rich CEO who looks very cold and intimidating like a typical alpha.

In the first few chapters, we learn that our ML rejects the omega part of himself and refuses to show any weakness because of his high-ranking position that few omegas ever reach--similar to how women in the real world who work in male-dominated positions are expected to embody classically masculine traits.

I usually don't like ABO genre due to feelings "forced" due to marking and omegas being at disadvantage because of that plus alpha acting as animals in heat.

I like this one. Reasons already told by above reviewers (hell and meatshield) .

Its sweet and fun to read.

Surprisingly A female and O male pairing. The really sweet gummy bear Alpha who dispenses her sweetness to the world looks like a typical Omega X super CEO who is the typical cold and scary Alpha but in actuality really sweet Omega who wants to be pampered. Pure pairing with no true drama so far. Relaxing read.

I really enjoyed this!!!!

awesome!cute!fluffyyyyyy.

I love how here the MC is an alpha that has an opposite appearance yet has very dominant alpha pheromones. although she doesn't show extreme behaviour like other alphas she still mostly dominates, is super proactive and has some possessiveness. think of it as cold female boss x loyal wolf-dog ML with the reversed genders. I love the effect she has on him and how she can make him crumble all his walls.

I do think this story had much more potential to take things deeper and more... more>> emotional but undeniably this is a fun and easy read. it did feel a bit rushed at the end but then again it was more slice of life than anything so...

I really do recommend this, don't take it too seriously and just ignore whatever biology you've learned when reading this-though in my opinion it makes the story more interesting. <<less

Soft and Cute Alpha who everyone thinks is an Omega x Cold and Domineering Omega who everyone thinks is an Alpha

The only times I have read ABO is during arcs in QT where they consider hormones as everything. This was completely refreshing compared to that.

Even though there is not much drama, it is written wonderfully. Even though it is Female Alpha x Male Omega, the author does not make the MC a male counterpart. No. The MC looks like an omega but is super strong and can actually control herself.... more>> The ML looks like an Alpha who is cold but secretly acts like a baby in front of the MC. They are both equally jealous of each other and nothing is gender defined such as I have to act dominant because I am Alpha or anything like that.

They are equally loving and possessive. The MC always calls the ML "sweetheart" because she doesn't want to define him as Husband or wife and I find that sweet and fluffy.

Overall a wonderful read with well constructed characters.

Their interactions are adorable.

ML treated MC pretty well.

MC liked ML too. It wasn't a force relationship like other stories.

The system is pretty much useless, it doesn't do much. I almost forgot it's existence.

AKA the work where I question how the hell does biology work in this universe but close one eye because it's a romantic comedy and not a Wikipedia page.

Let's begin with the possible cons: quick romance (due to the magic that are pheromones) and lots of ??? (especially in the later half) due to biology. Also the usual plot holes in these kinds of short CN romance WN. Surprisingly though, the author did try to put in some worldbuilding, no matter how meager, into this work and I appreciate it... more>> (spoilers: like how the term "husband" and "wife" works and the tiny details about the media not being the same due to it being the ABO universe, etc.). Of course, it's still lacking but pretty good for this type of novel.

About the MC being a gummy bear:

Personally, I thought it was unnecessary. Some of the things, that I remember, that is attributed to her being a gummy bear are her sweet personality, her sweet pheromones, her super strength, being able to eat sweets with no weight gain, her body and everything (sweat, etc.) being sweet, resistance to heat and hot water and her not being too clear about the basics of the ABO world.

Felt like the author could've made most of those work for the MC without the gummy bear transmigration thing but I guess it draws people to the story.

And yes, the ML does find out about the MC being a gummy bear previously. I don't think he reacted... much. Just that he suspected something about the MC long ago.

Despite all that I said above, I adore this WN. It's good, it's sweet, it's the sugary content I am glad to bulldoze through in under 2 days. The MC is actually really heckin' cute, caring, honest, pampering, great self-restraint, assertive when she needs to be; basically, the MC's dreamy. Ehem, the ML was supposed to be a cold, domineering president type but no, he's pampered and he's a prince with a strong sense of self that I appreciate and he's absolutely adorable in his own tsundere way. This fluff is really so fulfilling, I absolutely love the chemistry between the two of them! Their relationship had no major setbacks, pretty quick but reasonable and some of the details about them (minor spoilers: like orange gummies being the smell radiating off the cold president is such a cute image) made me smile like a proud (supportive) parent. Or, well, spoilers: like the ML's big sister.

Another thing that I liked was that it touched upon the dynamics of the ABO world but not too deeply. Stuff about betas was barely touched upon and they focused more on the alphas and omegas. Due to this being a romantic comedy though, there wasn't much development on that except exploring ML's feelings regarding being an omega. Again, this novel is just 79 chapters so it really wasn't the focus.

Overall, 5/5 just for the pure glucose this one gave me. <<less

I'm really torn over this story, because part of me adores it, and part of me is absolutely bored of it. This story is an absolute gem among ABO universe stories because an Alpha female x Omega male pairing is really rare. Add in the fact that it's a super elite, handsome and cool CEO whose getting his back blown out by a soft and sweet little high schooler? *Chefs kiss* (I say high schooler but all life expectancy is boosted to 150 years, so she's a high schooler but... more>> at age 21).

The world building and characterization is pretty good from what I've seen for an ABO story. For example, omegas get menstrual cycles regardless of gender, One alpha gets a crush on our female alpha MC and laments how he got bent by another alpha, and there is even a bit about the differences in wines for omegas and alphas. Even the little details like the phrase "steel straight man" is changed to "steel straight A" which is just *chefs kiss*. The ML is hilarious, and MC is this very sweet and soft yet quite smooth and dominating alpha, whose duality is so refreshing that I loved the way she interacted with the ML.

The problem for me however, comes from the plot. It's a bit messy and honestly not much happens actually happens. For the most part you just watch them meet, get together and then see some of their life as they date (which isn't a bad thing!). While it was fun in the beginning, the more I read the more I felt bored simply due to the fact that nothing was really going on, there weren't really any conflicts or problems which ends up feeling a bit monotonous. I read to the end, but it was more for the sake of wanting to know the ending rather than being interested in what was happening anymore. The transmigration/gummy bear thing doesn't really do much either, she could have been a really sweet looking girl with orange candy pheromones and nothing would have changed.

Overall, it's a very good ABO story with a fantastic premise, but needed a bit of polishing. Nevertheless, it was a fun read and I do recommend you give this a shot; however I would advise against binging to help break up some of that monotony in the later chapters. <<less

Giving this 5 stars just for the sheer fluff and cuteness of this novel and the main characters. This novel really reminds me of the manga 'Otomen' because of their character setting. Also, I just really love that I can find another hetero ABO novel since it's very rare to find one as about 90% of the ABO trope is dominated by the BL genre (and I've never seen a yuri ABO anywhere) .

Author is really good as making our gummybear Ruan Ruan as the soft, chewy candy she... more>> is, but still as domineering as an Alpha in her own cute, soft way. If there's anyone I would think is similar to her, it would be Hani-senpai from Ouran. So, it's definitely better not to piss her off. As for the ML Jiang Yanzhan... dayumm he's adorable. If this is BL manga, he'd probs be that bara tsundere uke, thankfully his partner is our gentle"manly" gummybear, so no undesirable forced assault happening between them. Also, I always have a soft spot for man that cries begging for some loving. I stan both of these adorable couple.

The translation is acceptable, though I hope they would at least do a bit of proofreading because sometimes I feel like I'm reading MTL with the unchanged pronoun of "he" and "his" especially when referring to Ruan Ruan... It's making me want to hover my mouse/finger over to the sentence to see the original Chinese sentence so I can compare the meaning (；´∀｀) <<less

I remember reading this before but did not review. It is a really interesting ABO novel which I enjoyed reading.

FL being an alpha is so cool and its just how they made her a cute personality and how she did not know how to handle her big baby.

Definitely will reread.

What a gem! The whole novel just feeds you sweetness. It's so overflowing with love. I especially liked the relationship dynamics between MC and ML. They're so adorable - you just have to read it for yourself.

This is the first ABO story I've read outside of QT stories and I have to say it set the bar high.

This is lovely, light novel, it has greater effect after some heart-wrenching novels and it has healing effects, it can be read as a pass time, the interactions of FL and ML are already described by other folks on this page which is sweet

There's a lot of instances that can cause misunderstandings and heartbreak to the ML and FL but just when I am already imagining their heartbreaking lines, at the end, none of it happened. They have a very good relationship and they are very understanding as well, especially the FL'S magnanimity, understanding, and devotion. The ML, albeit he has some inferiority complex due to his gender, but it's not much.

In addition, I've read MC being a plant, laddle, sword, animal, etc. In their past life then being a human being in... more>> their present life but this is the first time I've read a gummy bear being human. It's unique and refreshing. Although I'm still not used with ABO gender and this is just my 2nd time reading this kind of plot, it's still a novelty for me. Though I'm still confused about a lot of things and am still not used to it, especially if I use my imagination. It's really weird thinking of a petite, beautiful, and soft young lady with pp under her skirt (especially when they're doing some xoxo) and then a man having a V and (probably a bump in his chest since he should have a mamary gland right?) and a uterus. Anyway, I'm still not used to the roles but nevertheless, I find it good. It just that the translation is indeed not good that it caused some confusion sometimes and also ruin the mood sometimes. Regarding the world background, well, it's not explained the reason for the human evolution or something. But overall, it's a 8/10 for me. <<less
