Novel had me weak in the knees. The idea of this one was refreshing. 2 MCs?? they MIGHT kiss???? SIGN ME UP. Judelia ( Jude+Cordelia) is easily my favorite novel now. The romance and the action satisfied me and left me feeling empty when I finished it. Both are fated to be side-by-side, their dynamic with each other along with the other characters are fun. Feeling empty and extremely unsatisfied by the cliffhanger I went and read the translated volumes all from the start to the end. The story is good, the details are good, the machines? while I don't have the penchant for being a robot-machine loving person I quite like the incorporation of mecha into the story; the characters are excellent and it makes one think of humans, of wars, and of survival. But most of all as a romance aficionado I'm very delighted by the romance in this, which is not shoved into your face. Everything is just the right amount-- sadness, lightness, (well except the death and destruction), peace and war. This is extremely well written and I'm still awaiting the day this novel is finished but for now I wait for the coming volumes.  <<less

The romance isnt shoved into your face and it would honestly be great if there were more of that ;) You'll want to be her close lady in waiting just so you could know her plans and see them in action. I've discovered that trying out a novel based on Chinese imperialism(?)/Ancient China(?) is good and have been searching for more similar to this. Ancient china and the intricacies of it, the characters, the politics and the romance.  The FL is witty, she's an intelligent snake while trying to survive in an ancient palace surrounded by those out to get her. Very good read to start on Chinese historical romance novels. <<less
