Transmigrating Into The Heartthrob’s Cannon Fodder Childhood Friend

The protagonist shou, Xie Sui, was a proud son of heaven. He had an illustrious family background, was cold and removed from desire, and attracted many (psychopathic) admirers. From the gentle senior to the paranoid president, to the haughty and proud arch-enemy, these big guys were all top leaders of their respective fields, yet they were all crazy about him.

After pushing him down a series of mentally and physically abusive paths, the three of them decided to join hands to destroy the Xie Family, imprison Xie Sui, crush his pride, and turn him into a pet that could only rely on them.

While the crowd of readers howled “Wuwuwu the feels~”.

Song Yu was already so angry he was going crazy. Not wanting to read any more of this eye-searingly bad novel, he cursed, “Idiots.” and hurried offline.

As a result, when he woke up, he’d transmigrated.

He’d transmigrated to become the Third Young Master of the Song Family in the novel, who had only been briefly mentioned in passing, would die of a terminal illness, and was Xie Sui’s childhood friend.

Song Yu was terribly upset. At the same time, he’d already come to a decision in his heart––those three idiots, had better not think about wanting to get close to his little childhood friend!

Xie Sui was born cold-hearted. In two lifetimes, he’d never tasted the sweetness of love, nor had he ever experienced the feeling of being protected.

After destroying three big families and personally killing his enemies, he was reborn back to when he was 15 years old. He had to hide the violence and coldness in his heart and pretend to be the youth with a gentle and clean appearance that he’d been in the past.

Everything was the same as before, except that the little childhood friend who was nothing but a vague memory in his previous life was exceptionally different this time.

Like the spring breeze that thawed the frozen soil, someone reached into the abyss and grabbed his blood-stained hand.

Song Yu tore apart a love confession letter like he was venting and fumed, “Don’t pay attention to those people, don’t believe in their sweet words. They’re all scum, and their love is worthless. Don’t like them, okay?”

Xie Sui gazed at him for a long time, then laughed, “Alright, I don’t like them.”

I only like you.

I have been waiting for the translation of this novel for a long time. Thank you, everyone, for translating it. I read the synopsis and became interested in it. It sounded so intriguing that I thought that this story would definitely be good, and I was right. It was worth waiting for.

The synopsis gives us a general idea of what we should expect from this novel, but it was much more fascinating than I expected. There were some plot twists that I didn't see coming. At some point, the story... more>> takes an unforeseen turn. There were some signs, but the ending was still surprising. I expected that it would be a simple story about transmigration. But I was wrong; the story was complicated but enjoyable to read. For curious people, I will go into more details.
Spoiler

At first, the story developed exactly as it was described; MC transmigrated into the book and met the system, which told him that he would play a minor role in this world. In 5 years, he would meet MC and help him forget past grievances. During these five years, he would be free and could act as he wished. There was only one rule: He shouldn't change the plot. MC, because he hadn't anything to do, decided, out of kindness, to help ML, who was having a hard time at this point. It doesn't count as not changing the plot, but because the system was absent, he just acted according to his will. But after he met ML, he slowly began to doubt everything the system told him. He had strange dreams and adapted too well to this new world; he also felt wonderful despite being ill, as the system claimed. So he became suspicious. From this point on, the story became more gripping. (And everything ended with a big plot twist.

[collapse]
I loved that the author paid attention to details and explained everything I was curious about, for example, why did MC transmigrate or why was ML life so pitiful? Everything was logical, and every detail connected with each other very well.

Even without a complicated plot and a surprising ending, the story would still be great. Even if the story had been about campus love, I would be fascinated because the author is talented and the novel is very well written. The atmosphere of the school is well set. The youthful spirit of the youngster was well described. Both MC and ML are so cute and lovable. MC has a sharp tongue and loves bickering. Most of the time, no one is his match, except for ML. So his interactions with his classmates and family members are hilarious. I guess this is one of the reasons why he accidentally became a school bully. Truth be told, I have a feeling that he just wanted to be salted fish but accidentally got involved in the story. ML is calculating, cold, and clever; he isn't interested in anyone; he just doesn't care, but MC became an exception because he is frank, kind, and a bit naive. He was so patient with him.
Spoiler

It was a bit funny that ML knew about MC's feelings even before he himself realised what he felt. He was just waiting for MC to figure it out himself.

[collapse]

There were a lot of villains—bad teachers, love reveals, and classmates—who in the past tortured ML and caused a lot of pain and problems, but in this timeline they can't cause any trouble. I wasn't worried for ML because I knew that the plot had already changed. What happened to him in the past was disgusting; we only get glimpses, but it was enough to hate villains. But now that everything changed, I could enjoy reading it because I knew that nothing bad would happen, and I was a bit excited because the way of dealing with villains was entertaining. I couldn't wait to find out how they would be sorted.

What I loved most of all was the relationship between MC and ML. It was so good. This is one of those cases when you can see and feel how characters fell in love and don't doubt their feelings. With only a few sentences, the author sets a wonderful atmosphere that makes your heart beat faster. I loved it. There were so many good details, but I am afraid that I will spoil this beautiful story.

The story was sometimes sad, but most of the time, because of ML, it was hilarious. I enjoyed reading it and hope that other readers will give it a chance. It is a warm, funny, romantic, sometimes a bit sad, but very well written novel with good flow and charismatic characters.

P.S. I really hope people will read this wonderful novel from start to end. I saw a few low ratings and reviews; most of them were given without finishing the reading. I can acknowledge their concerns because I was worried for the same reasons, but I want to remind everyone that this novel has a happy ending, it isn't too angsty, and the author gave us a reasonable explanation. Nothing bad will happen to MC or ML, so you can read with peace of mind. <<less

the story it self is interesting. Transmigrator x reborn protagonist but its contradicting for mr to read thats why I rate 2

one thing that annoyed me is that..

when song yu was 5 yrs old, he was protagonist childhood friend before going abroad to treat his illness.

before the present song yu transmigrated. The real song yu. Got sick and die..

so I can conclude that song yu body was a sickly body coz he have illness way back childhood that is incurable disease before the present song yu transmigrated but the present timeline contradict

song yu was to fcking healthy. Which is different from the real song yu. I get that the real song yu die and MC just borrowing his body. He's using the body of the past song yu. So his body probably unhealthy and sickly. Yet there's no sign of sickly..

he's too badass aura, he's really healthy as f*ck when song yu appear in front of xie su. When it's not long of how he was discharged from hospital and need recuperating..

its too contradicting to my mind that it disturb my reading. I dont want to read anymore. Jeez.. I feel like its gonna bug my mind all the way thinking hes sickly while the present timeline didn't seem like that.

A sweet love story bogged down by some inexplicable multiverse/ alien intelligence nonsense. Skip the transmigration nonsense and you'll get an excellent high school romance with likeable protagonist

I don't really remember the plot anymore, but based on the fact that I'm grinning ear to ear from just reading the summary, pretty sure past me would give this a 5. Give this one a chance, if you like tragic past and MC becoming ML's sunshine, this is for you.

I finished a ghost BL novel before reading this and almost got the two confused for a second. Lmao.

I also had to take a moment to remember this was not a delinquent novel considering how much they fight in the novel too.

Overall, I loved it. It had a good flow and just like the horror BL novel, the characters in this story also don't have much character development, but the story does come back full circle to connect all the dots and fill in all the plot holes.

I won't lie... more>> though, I did lowkey wish it was a tragedy where the MC has an incurable illness that inevitably takes his life, but.... then it would ruin the plot. Lol.

Anyway, mah boi Ma Xiaoding (aka Sadako will not forget those who did the well) is the GOAT in this novel! I need me a man like him to also come out and cheer me on with whistles, clappers, glowsticks, and screaming rubber ducks!! 😂 <<less

The writing was a little stressful, it had whole lot off the online comments and jumped out of nowhere from memory to memory, making it hard to understand.

I think not using the "system" to explain things to MC was a waist of character, it woul have helped to make the plot and the writing make sense, I mean, at the beginning, the casual interaction that he had with the family of the "original So Yung" was a little bizarre, as if he knew how to interact with them... more>> (I know that it's the idea but it would have added, some ground).

I like the idea of revenge, but the villains were too two dimensional, just status and money, and repeated the same things, it was too on the nose that it was written to make the readers angry and feel satisfaction from the talk back by MC, we were all on edge expecting the sweet comeback of the year from Mr millionaire Family.

The parts when MC remembers his childhood its annoying, thinking that a 5 year old would talk like that and just saying that he was only repeating what he saw on TV made no sense.

and eliminating the whole disease was silly, it would've made some cliché but interesting interaction with MC and ml.

As a whole I'll give it a 3 but I think it too overhyped. <<less

Plot: 4/3

Entertainment Value: 3/3

I'm dropping this again because it's just too boring for me. Maybe I'll pick it up when I'm in the mood for a slower-paced story.

Given how rare it is for me complete a novel, this was definitely a rare found. It wasn’t through a recommendation, it was just something I picked up because I needed to read something.

I love the main characters, and I love the slow development of their relationship. This is not the usual transmigration, where the character needs to follow a certain plot to keep himself alive. The MC choose to do what he did because it was the right thing to do. It wasn’t until later when things are revealed... more>> that you understand why. <<less

I usually didn't like to leave review mainly because of my bad grammar haha but because of my love for this story is too great, I will just leave some praises.

This story is HILARIOUS. Our MC, Song Yu is not your typical whiny, damsel in distress, crybaby MC. If he said he will punch you in the face then he will. His interaction with the ML, Xie Sui is wholesome too. There's no unnecessary drama in their relationship.

So, if you're tired of angst and just want some fluff or b*tch-slapping,... more>> then this story is just for you. <<less

So far what I read is pretty good. Though I have not finished it, I truly recommend it and it is a good read its sweet and has a little drama and face slapping I am sure there will be more in future. I am in love with the dynamic of the main couple, but my favourite character is Ma Xiaoding. I can't read Chinese completely and have difficulty in understanding somethings so I most of the time rely on translation [since I am lazy to do it myself] and... more>> I have up most respect to translator of this story

Spoiler

The newest chapter the ML had confessed and the MC is so confused about it. Ahhh I waited so long for this and the translation ended on a cliffhanger

I regretted very much for NOT reading this novel any sooner. All characters have their own style and personality, not one chapter can be ended without a comedy, both MC and ML have great chemistry together. There’s nothing to nitpick about this one expect the comments on their school forum, it sometimes took a chapter to finish clamoring about MC.
probably willingly mtl this one to finish

A refreshing read and there's plenty of satisfying face slapping. Read many reviews about mtl-ing and I've got to say that I don't regret falling into this pit and mtl-ing the rest of the book. It's simply astounding with all of the surprises the author has set up for the readers.

The MC, Song Yu and the ML, Xie Sui are very likeable and relatable characters. They have common sense and their don't contradict their character (like some novels have about justice but committing injustice to others). It's amazing to read... more>> a novel and not have to see the MC have to be a white lotus or be extremely weak and pitiful.

Overall, I would recommend reading the novel because it's different from most transmigration/second chance tagged novels--this novel brings some other flavor and it's totally worth all that 24 hr time I spent mtl-ing it. There's no drama in the relationship and it's HE (which is wonderful~). <<less

They tied up all of the loose ends but I felt like the author could've added more...

[collapse]

A lot of good points, minimal bad points in my opinion. The MC and ML take care of each other and their relationship is really wholesome.

A point to be noted that it gets better as you continue to read it. MTL is also kind of easy to read, so it's a plus.

So far, we only have four translated chapters, so the time before this ends will be long... <<less
