This novel is great, it was a hard read up until chapter 25, when he really enters the academy. The rest of the story or the prologue could be called mediocre at best, it was annoying to read as well. However, once it reaches chapter 25 and he actually enters the academy the story just skyrockets. One of the better webnovels I've read thus far. It's well written, though the story and characters can be frustrating.

The MC is not OP. He is original/excentric, not dense (socially speaking) but definitely acts dumb (the story feels a bit contrived because of that). He can be absurdly impulsive but also cunning (in an ex-machina fashion). I wished he owned his decisions more (esp. Concerning him hiding his identity to his friends). Other characters are okay. Most are women (harem logic), which I'm fine with. There's no personal rivalry, no enemies. The novel is not boring, thanks to events. But the plot is slow and not particularly exciting, and once you get bored of clichés or the MC's inconsistence, there's nothing left.

Great character development. Love all the characters. No word padding. 5-stars up till when MC's identity is (inevitably) revealed.

After that is... uh, not good. Lots of crawling in my skin. Ending was also a letdown (not about the main characters at all). Honestly after the metaphorical trigger is pulled, not sure what could've been done. Maybe if the author had developed the demons in the setting better there might've been some options (pretty much neglected the entire story and given token "monster" treatment).
