Roughly sorted from best to weaker Novels (in my opinion). I also try to add descriptions to every Novel I can, if I can think of something to say that isn't already in the synopsis, they might contain minor spoilers though.

I'd like to add two more Novels here that I am reading but aren't listed here because they are Original Works from "Webnovel . com": "World Domination System" and "The Mech Touch". Both are pretty decent and are worth a look. <<less

FYI my review’s ratings for NU are always low standards, so if I gave it like a 4, it’ll probably mean that it’s cliche but pretty enjoyable. And a 3 is like, it’s aight but I didn’t enjoy it that much and got bored easily at some parts. And 2 is don’t even, also I change my ratings and opinions quite often once I look back on it because when I am reading it I read for pure enjoyment and not with a critical view. Like if there’s a plot hole, I just skimp over it, it’s only when I look back on it then I see the flaws. <<less

Just a list of novels with a strong romantic element from the perspective of a male. I find it hard to search for these explicitly since most novels categorized under the romance genre tend to be with female leads, and I personally have a hard time relating to their perspective. ... more>>

Some of the novels that are actually tagged with Male Protagonist and Romance are absolutely abysmal and should really not have the latter tag for a slew of reasons (e.g. Library of Heaven's Path). Typical cases I've seen are where characters might strongly pursue each other initially, but after they "get together" by establishing a relationship, they get too embarrassed to hold hands or have any physical progression (for like hundreds of years in the case of many Chinese cultivation novels). It's such a weird juxtaposition to see because in these fantasy type novels, as you'll see 95% of non-plot related characters around the MC depicted as lecherous, trying to r*pe every woman around them, but the MC himself would be too pure/innocent/dumb to have a single s*xual thought or action towards women he's close with. I would just like to see a normal relationship. These latter types of novels are what I'm trying to filter out of this list.

Note: This only includes the novels (including short stories) that I have read and have really enjoyed the romance aspect of it, even if the other elements are lacking or the book was potentially bad overall. <<less

What I look for in a good novel is: logical plot, good pacing, character development and concise descriptions. I'm also a sucker for a weak-to-strong character growth, good action, and romance that actually develops instead of mindless harems.

What I hate in novels is: insane repetition of content to meet character counts, idiotic MCs that make you go "why are they doing this?", or cliche/tedious formulas that endlessly repeat such as:

>> Queue entrance of super strong Villain A that identifies MC as lowly tr*sh and causes trouble

>> MC decides to start fighting while the surrounding audience goes "wow, this fool dares fight with Villain A?!?"

>> Everyone proceeds to shout out the names of their techniques, which sound "seemingly more epic" as the battle goes on

>> Villain grits teeth and uses ultimate move. MC's pupils contract and his expression pales. Audience goes "OMG, I can't believe he forced villain A to use <epic move>?!"

I hate the general feel of light novels where the MCs are dicks and treat the Love Interest (or other characters) in a horrible manner (being narcissistic, rude, condescending, pathetic misunderstandings that can be resolved by 5 seconds of talking).... more>>

I know that I can't force a hard left wing viewpoint and liberal communist pro-russian agendas (/s) but it feels better to read novels where everyone is coherent, makes sane decisions and behaves consistently (even if the consistence is for a character to be kind of dull/dumb/cruel/naive, if the character is consistently dull/etc it feels more authentic).

The novels in this list are all completed novels which are a big pleasure to read. I can't say that all novels here are going to be your cup of tea but at least you are not going to feel cheated after investing some time in reading these.
