Makes you think of all those possibilities our future world holds and wonder about the world after 100 years. The story itself has a stronghold and makes sense even though they are made out of thin air, not scientifically explainable. That's what I liked most about it, in a sense. And the most important is not MC, unlike many 1000 stories out there, ML is not just a walking breathing embodiment of perfectness. He is one of the pillars of the whole plot. The story, in a sense, wouldn't take even a step further without ML. There are many chapters where the MC is nothing but a mere bystander, which he actually is. A whole new perspective of humanity has been drawn out in this novel. Each character has there own purpose, rather than being mere cannon fodder. There are things that are not explicitly explained yet makes sure that the reader understands the whole plot without having to do so. Let me tell you this beforehand, the relationship between ML and MC is perfectly paced and not a 'met and wet' one. It is more like 2 different fates. Their fates are not tangled at all. Both of them can exist as a character of their own. And that's how it is in reality and the author made sure to convey that message through our MC itself. SLOOOOOOW Burn . which is why I cherished each and every moment of them together. A really thoughtful, insightful novel. My favorite was ML, his mother, and Dr.jil. The story, characters, plot, logic you just name it and yes everything is there. Don't even get me started with how perfectly woven are the characters with their background and the plot that unfolds throughout the novel. There is not a single name that appeared to be fleeting cannon fodder. Each and everyone had a purpose, a reason for their purpose, and completely thought out plans for achieving their purpose. This story is not just ML and MC or their historical love. It is much more than that and is all that you wouldn't even have asked for. This novel is the best wuxia out there and I would not be surprised if it is made into a drama series in the future. I can see myself re-reading this one. Such a masterpiece. <<less

Haaaa. It's a really good read(except a little nsfw kinky smut in some chapters, which u can avoid since the translater has tagged those chapters as nsfw) . I admire MC so much for his carefree and unperturbed nature. Since the author don't try to detail all his emotions and povs so much, sometimes, his emotions and thoughts are a mystery to the reader. Hence, It unexpectedly comes across as a pure fascination whenever the author writes about his thoughts.
