Fourteen-year-old Su Bei almost died when she caught a high fever, got transmigrated into another world, and finally figured out a shocking truth—it turned out that her original world she was just a novel and her whole family were villains.

The woman who gave birth to them was the cannon fodder in the novel. She and Su Xiaobao were written like this in the extra chapter: One was a little bastard who tried to bully the male lead’s daughter and eventually got thrown into prison and the other one became an escort who, after having failed to seduce the male lead, was killed by an evil director. They also have a dad whom they never met and was the biggest villain in the book.

Back to her original world, the first thing Su Bei did was to take Su Xiaobao and find their father.

Su Bei: Su Xiaobao, quick, call him.

Su Xiaobao: Call him what?

Su Bei: Call him dad.

Su Xiaobao: I don’t want to, do it yourself.

Su Bei: Dad!

Looking at these two dirty children in front of him, Mr. Qin’s eyes showed disgust.

I liked the MC's family interactions. I also appreciate the swift revenge and the fact that they didn't drag the villains throughout the story. It was all about MC's growth. The quality of translation was great but I didn't have the patience to wait for the updates every week. So I completed this novel in MTL. Compared to other tr*shy MTL's where you can't make sense of anything, this one is alright. If you like fluffy and heartwarming stuff, you can pick this novel :)

Should I say I love love and love the entire book. But hated how the altered world ended and hoped it would have provided more insight to the later development. My heart ached for villain dad and his adorable children. They were misunderstood just because they kept a low key appearance.

I generally do not write reviews but this book compelled me to write one because I wished to remember it for a long time and read it once more. Overall story is pretty good.. Some details have been omitted but... more>> it's fine as it is. <<less

a very enjoyable read. 100 really chill chapters. No exaggerations in the antagonists as the story isn't focused on them but more on the MC's family.

But if I had to be honest I would rate 4.5*

I only have 2 problems with this novel

  • the first is how these kind of villain novels always make the villain the good person and the MCs very bad people. If a story is centered around a MC and that ppl liked reading it there must be a reason. It's not really the case here as only the old male lead had a problem.
  • I personally think the end was too stretched with more than 5 whole filler chapters (15/20 min per chapter not sure), I just lost all immersion and started skipping chunks. I didn't even read the end of the last chapter as I was strangely disappointed.
Spoiler

PS: romance is only in the last 3 chapters but it was well built as a whole, in the sense that ppl started falling in love and all but it never came to confessions and development until the last 3 chapters

It's my rule to not finish novels, I hate endings

Well, this, as all are saying, is CUTE, it mainly is centered around father-daughter and brother relation, and knowing that the MC is 14 it is better that way.

There is no INTENSE drama, easy-going life and many fluff moments

note- MTL <heart> <great>

Finished mtl this series, it's sweet and fun. Recommend this book to anyone who likes sweet and cute slice of life stories with a sprinkle of romance. It's happy ending. The chapters not too enormous nor too short, the arc is not draggy too. Love it!

I love the plot and twist in this book as it doesn't consume that much of brain cell of mine. What I'd say, you should give it a try as the family interaction is GOLD. And there's no in*estuous element here. So go give this a try

Two twin orphans set out to find their blood-related dad, and they pretty quickly start bonding. There's a lot of 'aww' moments where you just melt. The dad truly loves his children and shows them in different ways, while the siblings' bond is incredibly strong. He's your typical cold CEO ML in his everyday life, but with his children he gets goofy, and does things like matching outfits and little dances and spoil them endlessly.

I really enjoyed most parts of this novel, but the romance was a little strange and... more>> not needed. It started really late and felt a little awkward and rushed.

Spoiler

It's around chapter 90~ I believe, where the guy confesses he's had a crush on her since she was 14 and he was 20. She explains it away using how her mental age was really 4 years older (due to reincarnation), but I don't buy it lol. Imagine he's been staring with pedo eyes at a child for that long... Sigh.

Even then, when he confessed, she was shocked because she thought of him as a brother and had no feelings at that point. It was so lackluster.

In the end, I felt really moved. God, that last chapter really got me.

Anyway, want a slice of life/drama? Go for it, it's sweet. <<less

Very good! The novel stays true to the title!

The author writes the family relationship extremely well; The closeness of the twins as well as Villain Daddy slowly opening up to these unexpected children.

The family is dynamic and fluffy plus there is clear communication between family members which deserves an high rating.

... more>> The romance is towards the end and Its not too long or too short. Just right for a family development story.

I have nothing else to say because it is written well given the chapters.

And like all transmigrated novels about "waking up as a novel character" the "plot" isn't as what it seems.

Enjoi and Adieu!

Super heart warming family relationship.

The romance is okay but the focus of the story is really about the family The FL is cute and the dad is awesome. His transition from cold to doting is so fun to read. Plus, the twin brother is super loving too. I like that they both love and treasure each other very much. All in all, a great short read.

MTL is easy to understand.

THIS IS AMAZING!! What an amazing find. Novels that are good and not dog blood drama are few in between. Of course, the premise is the villain family, but the plot doesn't move too fast nor move too slow. It has enough momentum to keep you wanting more without being bored.

This reminds me of "The Legitimate Daughter Does Not Care" and "Delicate Mother of a Villan". This novel starts of focusing on the family and the original novel as only as a side quest. I hope that continues!

It's completed! 100 chapters!

  1. I just wished there were extras Daddy Qin is such a doting parent!
Spoiler

Though he may seem harsh to Xiaobao, you'll see that he really cares for both of the twins.

Just a bit strict to Xiabao since he's going to be his heir

and obviously Daddy Qin cares more for Xiaobei because she is his little cotton padded jacket. She is all cutesy, playful and all, how can Daddy Qin not love her!

And with how he supressed the ML made me laugh

well yeah, Daddy Qin only managed to meet the Su twins in their tennagers, and missed many years of their growth, so I can understand that he felt angry that someone is trying to 'steal' his baby

*Edit*

There are extras!! So in the meantime, I'll wait for them patiently :3 <<less

This is honestly, a really cute story. It's heart warming and mostly family related with a little bit of drama thrown inbetween. Our MC is smart, but not conceited and is general calm just like her father, though some of that is probably due to having lived two life times. Her brother is the cold type, just like their father, but has interests in various things as sports and gaming. He isn't a cookie cutter of his father, even if he is a bit cliche as 'school grass'.

The father is... more>> a smart guy. He brings in the right attitude to this pair of twins when they show up out of no where, and once he realizes that they are, indeed, related, he treats them as his own.

Most of the story focuses on their relationship, with the brother feeling undeveloped in a way. He's there, but easily forgotten. Even her career as a 'hacker' has more focus then her brother. I'm not all the way through the book, but I hope to see more of this brother who genuinely cares for his sister (to the degree of a sis-con).

The part where this story got a bit iffy, is the general fixation that this father of their's has on the MC. He interacts far more with her then her brother. Focuses on her more. Seems to go out and get revenge for them, not cause of the brother, but because of the MC. It even gets a bit creepy when he starts worrying about her dating.

And I know, parents are generally concerned about this kind of thing. But the father seemed way too personally involved.

It just seems that, since this story revolves around the MC, everyone else is forgotten. The author was obviously invested in their father-daughter relationship but not the father-son relationship or the sister-brother, well at least not as much. And it can come off as a bit... in*est-y. Not to mention pe*ophilic.

However, if you don't wanna dig too down into these kind of things, it is, honestly, a heart warming story between father and daughter. How a daughter moves up in the world not just because of familial connections, but her own strength and talent. Our MC is incredibly smart, praised on many occasions. Even if it's due to her two lives, she's talented none the less.

So I wouldn't mind recommending this book to others, as long as they aren't too close minded.

Personally, even if the inner layers kind of rub me the wrong way, it's not enough to make me quit reading. So i'd say that it must have it's good points. Lol. <<less

Cute father and child relationship, slice of life novel. The twins are a little too advanced achievement wise, but still an entertaining read. She changes the original plot and gets a happy ending. One thing I do not understand is, I would not categorize any of her family as a villain. Basically her dad is a successful businessman who operates inside the law and her and her brother are just framed. I would say the original male and female lead family is the real villains who get what they deserve.

Spoiler

Although, the family was supposed to be villains; they weren't actually villains. In the book that Su Bei read, the male lead Song Yangchen (or whatever) was supposed to be the main character but he was actually the bad guy and an actual villain. It seemed that the villains in the story were a type of perspective and a reverse of the truth.

Anyway, since I didn't complete the story I'm not sure if this will be touched on in the extras. I'll read it later. <<less

A pretty interesting and fairly good story. Had a lot of likable characters, but also very questionable major characters, to say the least.

Latter end feels rushed and lackluster, especially the ending. Midway, some major characters felt like they were just made to be out of sight without a proper conclusion. Then the end had timeskips and just ended quite ubruptly.

But all in all, a pretty good read I'd say. The main family is quite adorable, especially the daughter and father duo.

its fine its a good read when you put it in the context of other chinese webnovels. Light read. Checked out after the time skip since that was just the romance part so yeah. The ronance is a bit weird like u get it but it couldve been written better if they wanted to do it.

Well, I wanted to like it but nope. I can't stand to continue. The whole story is very light and feels like it is made up of filler content. There is no main goal or ambition the MC is working towards. You see, her goal at the start is to live a better life than before which means living as minors under the care of a guardian until they are of age. This would be better than her previous life. So she goes to find their dad. After getting... more>> a dad and his acknowledgment of them being his children, the next step is to keep their standard of living, which is threatened by the existence of the male lead that took down the 'villain' her dad in the future. But the way she goes about it is pretty Disney Channel-esque. She doesn't really think about proper steps to solve the issue but just hints about the male lead or join a competition to earn money for her and the brother in the event the dad goes bankrupt as expected. When the main big thing that caused the downfall of the dad was mostly prevented, the downfall could already be predicted to never happen, so the problem was already solved. Now there is no more tension to look forward to in the story. This happens in like the first third of the story. The rest is just the MC being effortlessly good at everything. She isn't really shown to be working at it. There is nothing to root for because we know she will surely ace it. Very boring.

Also, I hate the massive difference in treatment and expectations between the twins. The dad treats the son in this toxic masculinity way while the MC as the princess in the palm of his hand when, dude, they are the same age and whatnot. It got so bad that I seriously doubt whether he cares about the boy or not. Anything that shows he cares about his as a son is an afterthought-thrownaway sentence. Eg, "MC scrolls through her dad's Weibo and sees that it is full of his children's exam results, her piano recital, his basketball games, etc". Every other scene between him and his kids is always kind and loving towards the girl, but frowning and thinking stinky kid towards the boy. Very typical toxic masculinity at play there.

Sigh, there just isn't any personal big bad for the MC to fight against like there usually is in this type of novel. So there wasn't really anything to carry me through the story. So dropping it here. Maybe I'm just not the intended audience haha <<less
