Hyperthymesia. Those with this condition can remember every detail of their lives from something as significant as the world’s turning point to something as small and as insignificant as a minor fleeting thought. They cannot forget and their thirst for knowledge allows them to be considered genius in some senses.

Legend has it that Ji Yushi was this kind of genius.

In addition, it was said that he was gay and very beautiful.

As soon as the news that he was going to support Tianqiong’s seventh squad broke out, it sent everyone buzzing.

Everyone knew that the captain of the seventh squad, Song Qinglan, was a hoodlum and deeply homophobic.

I had a great time reading it! The plot revolves around time, space and such, it’s a hard genre to write without leaving many plot holes but this story really exceeded my expectations and it was fun seeing the developments of the characters!

It's been a long time since I have use my brain have to think and process the plot to understand the story. The whole concept is brilliant. I love both MC and ML interactions and dynamics too to boot. Definitely a good read.

This is a trippy book that’ll bend your mind. You may find yourself drawing flow charts, revisiting chapters and drawing from your memory bank every last bit of physics theory you had once learnt.

Mist not only explores the concept of time but also twists it in unimaginable ways. I was left stumped and mind blown by the plot turns. This is a twisty book if there was ever one! There is plenty of foreshadowing so at no point will you feel... more>> that the author has pulled a rabbit out of the hat at the very last minute.

Set in a futuristic timeline, the world has learnt how to time travel and so institutions are set up to manage travellers and ensure no one manipulates the past or the future. These time travel institutions are almost like military divisions - with combat teams, inspectors, reporters etc.

Our super dreamy ML (Song Qinglan) is the captain of the seventh squad of guardians. His team often gets sent on missions to other time periods or parallel universes. Our ML (Ji Yushi) is a genius who suffers from hyperthymesia. The two along with five others set off on a seemingly simple mission that gets complicated when their capsule gets highjacked midway sending them into a parallel universe where there are time anchors, zombies and an endless wasteland of mirrored worlds.

The main characters are loveable, especially Song Qinglan who has all my heart.

The writing is not gold tier. There’s a lot of tell instead of show, but that’s forgivable given the complexity of the plot. <<less

-The plot is a solid 5/5 no doubt! Tho this novel might be lacking in certain aspects which I mentioned above. The plot alone saves the whole show and raises it to the top. The plot was so well written and well thought out that you're just left speechless because it goes above and well beyond your expectations! It constantly keeps you on edge and make you think and wonder (my poor brain cells lol) and I don't think there was any question of mine left unanswered. No plot holes.A mind blowing plot that was perfectly executed. Its written perfectly and I don't think I have read such a perfect plot in many novels, just a few which I can count on my fingers. So plot is solid 5. If you are a fan of timetravel, I'm sure you'll love it! It uses a lot of concepts and theories of time and uses them well together.I'm a fan of Stein's gate, re-zero and sakurada reset and lol I was conceited before reading but it uses even more theories and time concepts than them and is much more complex.I learned a lot of new things too! There is well fitted comedy and right dashes of angst here and there in it, to make your experience much more better. Overall I really enjoyed the plot and it just blew my mind reading it!

-Romance-it is really slow burn but after they get together the author gives us enough fluff to make up for it but also doesn't make them too mushy and keeps the plot and romance well balanced out which I loved! (Thank you for the fluff and smut author hehehe) 3.5 is because even tho its a slow burn, seems well thought out and I enjoyed it I just can't shake the feeling that its kinda rushed but not rushed at the same time? I would have loved more development/focus into their love and feelings before they got so deep into it.

-The leads-3/5 because MC wasn't really fleshed out. We got backstory, we got his thoughts, difficulties, struggles and I loved him but we never delved deeper enough for him to feel 3D to me. He just felt like so 2D but It was even worse with the ML! Give him some depth, development please! Like all I got was that he was a good leader who urged his teammates forward (and incredibly hot lol his descriptions by the author was even making me drool) but how was he a good leader or so? I needed examples, I wanted to really see how charismatic he was and how such a good captain he was in different difficult situations that it moved people and made them want to follow him but sadly he wasn't developed as much as I wanted. The same thing is with the romance, he was so devoted to the MC and did a lot for him that it was so moving and melted my heart but I wanted to read his thoughts, his conflicting feelings, how and why he fell so deeply! The Author didn't flest them out enough and also they were too OP like I know it was due to MC's condition but can you give the side characters some chance, which brings me to my next point (see below) but well I did love these two leads nonetheless.

-Side character development-The author had such brilliant Side characters and I loved everyone in squad 7 but please give them some chance to develop will you? What amazes the most in any novel is when the side characters are well fleshed out and get their own moment to shine. The author could have given the two leads some flaws which the side characters could fulfill and given them some limelight in different arcs highlighting their talents and usefulness but alas it was all wasted and its such a pity.

But despite its flaws, I gave this novel an overall 5 because yes the plot just steals the whole show! For me as long as only one aspect of the novel blows my mind and is written way better than other novels i've read, it deserves this rating because atleast it was absolutely flawless in one aspect which impressed me And hey I enjoyed the other aspects of it despite their flaws too (i mean you can't wish for too much-for everything to be perfect right) so thats why overall 5/5.I highly recommend it to all my fellow lovers of time travel! <<less

literally in love with this novel. Didn't know what to expect when I first saw this novel on this website. I saw that it has very good reviews so I decided to read it.

well-thought tightly written plot where everything eventually came to light (yes. Plot twists here and there 👀) in full circle. It also has an amazing world-building. The time travel concept is a hard one to write and it is also very easy to get the overall conflict messed up but the author did an amazing job with... more>> this one.

the romance was written in a pretty good pace (according to my likings) where it didn't feel that rushed nor too slow when I read it.

the downside of this novel is the fact that it's too short 😭 im not even exaggerating. I truly want to see more of their action—MC and ML together with the other teammates. <<less

The scifi and time travel parts hooked me from the start. The romance was not my favorite at the start but once it got to both of them realizing their feelings I was all in. I couldn't put it down!

Tough concept written in a gripping adventurous way... loved the theme... loved the writing... loved the characters... loved the storyline... in short there is nothing in this novel that is not to love... amazing and gripping... totally loved it!!! And last but not the least... amazing translation by @kk translates... Thanking the author and the translator for bringing us this piece of gem 💎...

This novel is amazing. I have not read a book with a great concept in a long time. I got so hooked when I first started that I binged reading it.

Although it is the standard "enemies to lovers" trope, this novel has a great storyline with the addition of romance. The character development is good with the MC's and the ML's development being very apparent. The two main characters are both strong with the MC being a bit more defined with apparent weaknesses and negative characteristics but they are... more>> both very fleshed out still. Those characteristics add to the story, with some of their quirks adding humor to the novel. I quite enjoyed their relationship it is cute, a little passionate and they both stand on equal ground (the number of abusive bl are astounding and this is not one of them :D). It is a little fast passed in the end but you could see the development from the beginning. The side characters are very human too, with each of them having their own fleshed-out personalities we are able to take a step into their own stories and enjoy each of their personalities (we love squad 7 <3).

What really sold me on this book is definitely the concept of the novel. The uniqueness of each of the arcs and entire book is nothing like I have read before. Honestly, when reading the summary I was expecting the storyline to be about going on various separate missions with the Hyperthymesia being used as a tool to first "face slap" everyone and then assist with the missions until the main couple progress. To my surprise it is nothing like that; although the characters still go on missions the concept is more complex and broader than I could have ever imagined. The idea of combining interstellar and time travel is such an interesting concept. You can tell the author really thought of what would happen if time travel did exist and all of the additions and consequences that would come with it (I can’t help but be marveled at the different ideas that connect to time travel which make this novel so good). I loved the arcs (especially the first arc! Something so generic is transformed into a complex arc and *chef's kiss* it is amazing) and the plot twist is perfect.

This novel could have been very confusing but the author and translator does an amazing job to make it very clear (although my brain did hurt sometimes.... but that may be because I binge-read the novel) It has a great plot with the addition of romance that is not too overdone. While each arc is unique and with the progression of the novel we as the readers gather so many questions that are all answered by the end, it makes the novel fulfilling when you complete it. I highly recommend this novel if you enjoy a good plot with a satisfying ending and unique concepts. Please give it a read and thank you to the translators who started this masterpiece with us! <<less

Seriously, 10/10 novel! It is so amazing, but it really does take some brain power and a couple re-reads to understand what is going on in certain situations. The translator did an amazing job, seriously thank you so much for translating because reading this story was such a wonderful experience. If your hesitant to read this novel, just jump right in it is so good!

This is a great book! I love how the author plays with time and Sci fi. I love the puzzles that make your mind melt (I'm pretty sure I didn't fully understand that time circle story). Honestly, this is a much better "Chinese Sci fi" than the three body problem. I loved the teammates, the slow burn romance, the mini stories (they weren't that mini though). oooooh its so good!! Every time I read it I am unable to put it down!

all the missions are really interesting and the author does a pretty good job explaining the space and time theories and ideas in the novel. My first time reading it I was a little lost with some explanations but for the most part I understood, after reading it again I understood a lot more.

I generally steer away from time travel because it can often get a little convoluted but I'm so glad I gave this novel a chance. Sometimes when stories (especially ones of this nature where they rely on suspense or complex themes like time travel) have multiple story arcs, the pacing starts off great but quickly gets repetitive or choppy as the audience figures out what's what; that was not the case for this book. i almost had a heart attack when the links suddenly disappeared!!! But I was saved, thank heavens! This story was brilliant and very engaging with all the right stuff. The author is very smart and personally, I would want to sit down and talk about nothing and everything just based on this story.

Definitely a dark horse novel that took me by surprise. Never camped for it, never even realized it existed, but it was completed & ohhh man was I baited.

But ick time travel! I don’t mind ghosts, life-altering supernatural phenomenon, freaking cultivation even! But time travel is a melting pot of paradoxes, confusion, & mass-destruction of brain cells... MY brain cells that is. That is why I try so hard not to read sci-fi novels because I run the risk of killing my own brain. This one, of course, did just... more>> that.

Half of the time I had no idea what MC was referencing. “Have you heard of this theorem? This phenomenon? This paradox?” & MY ANSWER IS ALWAYS GONNA BE NO, JI YUSHI, I HAVE NO FLIPPING CLUE! I empathize with the rest of the team members because there is no way I’m ever on the same brain wavelength as ML & MC. They’re overpowered in their own special ways; another example of “there is someone out there for every person—tailored especially for them.”

Overall, a pretty addicting novel that holds a great blend of action, mystery, & sci-fi. If you’re craving for a novel that’ll make you think & yearn for love that surpasses all reason & literal time, then this is the one for you. MC & ML are a great pair with a healthy relationship dynamic. They trust each other unconditionally & each have their own strengths so they don’t necessarily have to rely on each other to be successful. They’re a badass couple.

TL;DR If you were disappointed with GUEE, read this novel! <<less

It’s like a brilliant combination of doctor Who and inception, with a lovely well balanced love story at the center.

The autor left no loopholes and created a thrilling time traveling story that never turned dull for even one second!! Also a 9/10 for the translation.

Best novel I ever read online!!!

Wooh! Great translation! Thanks to kk for completing such complicated but mind blowing and satisfying read!

This story really will make you think.. hahahaha... Though I only think I understand and then doubt myself if I really understand that part cause it! Just! Blows! My mind! But I do understand okay?! (My mind said so)

    • Plotwise, very moving specially for an average reader like me. The arc grips you over and over until you met the full circle. I cannot say that there is no plothole, I don't know how to find it in this one because maybe it needs a lot of scientific and hypothetical approach? But for me, my questions were answered myself.
    • MC and ML is of course needed to be gary stuish because if they were normal humans how would it be possible to arrive to that?!! How could something like that be achieved? Anyways, MC is a cold faced soft hearted baby inside who keeps everything in but there are times that he easily trusts someone. This may be because he valued his solitude (due to his hyperthymesia) and was just starting to open and leave his comfort zone. ML on the other hand is a gary stu who has a full control of his life. He is strong, handsome and a thug but caring and conscientious. A perfect leader and gong who complements MC like a puzzle.
    • Side characters are there, you'll remember them, their purpose, their story and how they affect others. You will hate and love them or pity them altogether.

    • Romance is just as good, just a bit of misunderstanding and the push and pull was great! There are smexy part too and the author iterates that these two were young hot-blooded individuals.. so yeah.. with sugar and fluff!!
    • Translation flow is really great because some things are very complicated but I grasped it and the others as well so kudos to kk!
All in all a must read

Title speaks for the novel in it's entirety.

If you had put up with no brainer danmeis and lost some brain cells along the then it's time to read it and revive some brain cells back in!!

Such a complete blend of action, romance, and intrigue. The author really thought out the whole plot and everything in the beginning relates to the ending. MC and ML have such a nice dynamic and there isn’t much of that “will they, won’t they” drama.

I usually don’t like novels that have arcs where they travel to different places but all the arcs connect and the side characters are all great.
