- Jude and Cordelia - the 2 protagonist, have a very sweet, cute and powerful dynamic. They are basically born for each other. Noted that they are still underage and not married, so people complained about them not F*ck should just go to h**ny jail.
2. The battle scene. This is what I like most about this novel. It is very well-written and Jude... more>>5/5 edit: I've seen some people complaining about how it seems "too easy". That is why I think premise is important. They are singlehandedly trying to stave off an apocalypse that would occur if they didn't do anything. As the two best players out of hundreds of thousands of players, if not millions, they have the talent, experience and skills to be assured of victory when victory would be impossible for others. So don't expect them to lose battles. If they lost winnable battles, why were they the top two on the server for multiple years straight? However, keep in mind that they could win almost every battle, and fail to stave off the apocalypse. This is the premise of the novel. If they goofed around and failed to act optimally, then why where they ranked so high? This is a premise that allows for tropes that would usually lead to a book that lacks tension and suspense, to lose those weaknesses but keeps its strengths.
2nd: The s*upid witch idiotically makes a deal with Asmodeus the head devil (one of the worst and most evil demons in the entire world) for no good reason (wanting knowledge). Many Minor Issues: 1) Extremely slow romance (FL is far too dense, chapter 159/400 for first kiss then 320/400 for s*x between ML and FL lol) 2) Uselessness of supposedly strong/smart people (the paragon 5 are mostly “martial idiots”, strong people with low IQ), the Royalty (all the humans rulers are either easily betrayed clueless morons or underage children while the other races are equally dumb in their own way - sirens who can’t fight krakens and dumb elves [erofu]), and the Angels (super incompetent heavenly voices). 3) Rushed Arcs: Every arc after the first one is badly paced and somewhat rushed differently. The worst are the final arc and the capital arc, with the empire arc also being all over the place. Malekith arc is super rushed but still lands due to impressive dragon fight. 4) Minor Nitpick: after first arc of Wild Lands, author adds on more pronounced Heavy Plot Armor - ML and FL constantly faint a lot or suddenly receive enlightenment or absorb sacred sword energy or even supporting cast ML’s brother gets a rare never mentioned pill to magically heal from death. 5) Lack of communication - ML and FL both know large portions of the future yet seem to not adequately use it. Only near the second half of the book do they barely think of leveling other people up and they also certainly never considered how much easier their path could’ve been by taking advantage of their super strong parents (who mostly just show up late to the final battles). 6) Ridiculous ML and FL - ML is like a crazy spec ops sorta guy and FL is a high schooler with insane gaming skills. Mainly you have to pass the hurdle that they’re super gamers who also make endless anime and manga references. They also never tend to treat a situation seriously. Can be both a plus and minus. There’s more stuff wrong but those are the main weaknesses. Overall not too strong a novel mainly due to the rushed ending and arcs 2/10. At least there’s a complete romance from start to finish though. P.S. Author really really loves explosions, animal girls, and teasing guys.
