The arcs are fleshed out well, not too long or short. Ash is actually smart, and clearly thinks out of the box to defend the city against the threats. Side characters are well written, too. I can't really say why their development was good as it might cause MAJOR spoilers, but the growth was also incredibly 'human' to me, and I teared up whilst reading their growth and backstory. Dokja's character growth was good as well, along with the other side characters, whom Dokja once viewed as 'characters' are now companions to him. HSY's development too, from someone who was using Dokja for her goals, to a person who wants to help and reach Kim Dokja. Yoo Joonghyuk, a man who was worn by the scenarios, someone who didn't trust anyone aside from his previous companions, views and treats Dokja as someone whom he respects, cares and loves for (not a romantic way of course). Shin Yoosung and Gilyoung, two children who were battered by the scenarios, yet still stood beside Dokja and the others, shows how brave and strong these two children are, even tho they face multiple dangerous scenarios, the trust, confidence and the bravery they have in Dokja is really well written as well, and them sacrificing themselves for Dokja is good, too. Jung Heewon, a woman once destined to die, now is Dokja's sword and maybe, a sister to him. She, who thought of herself as worthless, saw that Dokja didn't think that way, and decided to save the world. And the world was Dokja, who had saved her then. And lastly, Lee Hyunsung, a soldier who had no one to believe in him, a soldier who had no one to lean on, found solace and guidance in Dokja. He, who had no self confidence, found that confidence in Dokja, and became his shield, similar to Heewon.
