I definitely want to get back and finish it,... more>> it's sooooo good, I just haven't found the time to really enjoy it at its fullest, many scenes kept making me cry and I don't want to cry every day, and with my schedule I can only read this little by little. I could read this during the weekend but tbh I just haven't been in the mood of crying for some time. I just think this novel is absolutely great, the story is well made and could be turned into a tv show. I highly recommend it even though I haven't finished it. <<less

This was bad lol, how do I put this? If you like revenge you might like this. I only read the first arc but I couldn't continue, it was just straight up distasteful, and even if it wasn't tbh the story doesn't have much going for it. I know well sometimes want to get our cravings of revenge with these novels but this one was too much. The villain in the 1st world had made the previous host get g*ng-raped, that is obviously awful and I am not going to condone her actions and she was hateful, she was a bad kid. But the revenge imo wasn't even tasteful, maybe because the arcs are short... more>> but basically all we saw is how she kept getting punished.

Basically it goes like this, MC stops ori-FL from getting too many benefits, that's good. MC "falls for her trap", calls the police on them and records proof, good. MC gives ori-FL nightmares which makes her irritable and loses her reputation, great. A bad luck curse? alright. 

But was ori-FL's dad trafficking her and selling her to a pr*stitution ring necessary? it got busted but FL's reputation was dragged with it. Was her finally finding a good partner but turning out to be the side chick so the wife threw acid on her face necessary? I am seriously tired of CN novels always putting this kind of revenge. Obviously the FL was bad and I do think she went to jail too but these two things imo were too much. Especially when this whole arc was about her getting punishment after punishment, there's no fun in just seeing this girl getting punished. Literally, what other thing happened during this? I know the point is revenge but is it that fun to see some teenager get punishment after punishment? I know what she did was awful though but man, this is why I don't like these kind of face slapping novels. I like the ones that don't involve r*pe and acid. I like the ones where the villain gets exposed for her wrong doings, loses their reputation in a fair sense (for instance for being a scheming b*tch that would throw MC under the bag), and lives her life with guilt. I know MC wasn't really the one that caused all of these, I'm talking about the author. I'm just not a fan of these revenge novels so I'm not going to keep reading this. <<less

The... more>> MTL is understandable but a translation would definitely be more enjoyable. There are some potholes imo but whatever. the concept in itself is cute and fun. ALSO, something I liked about this was how the main characters were more low-key. Even if they did impressive things, mainly bc her being immortal couldn't become a celebrity. But still, I liked their privacy. <<less

 It's very similar to Getting Outsmarted By The CEO, so if you liked that one you might enjoy this one (her being engaged to ML, she hadn't seen him, she falls for him without knowing his identity and they cohabitate quite early on, plus there are also love stories for the side characters, also another thing I won't spoil. The difference is that this one is law focused and the relationship progresses a bit differently.). The author is also pretty good, the way the characters behaved is fairly natural for a dog-blood novel. The FL's actions are frustrating at times, but I can also see myself in those frustrating actions and ngl sometimes I enjoyed... more>> that, although they are unreasonable isn't that just how humans are? I just don't like how she kept calling the ML "male vixen" just because many girls like him, oh but she has no issue being ambiguous with other men and making him jealous. Well, he shouldn't be getting jealous either in some of those situations (especially because they weren't even dating) but she literally called him a male vixen (in her mind) when a 5 year old girl preferred to play with him, or when others try to get close to him even when he doesn't even look at them. I mean, I guess that's just human nature, I just don't find her antics that funny. I understand the jealousy in some scenes though, and her emotions are understandable. Also the amount of misunderstanding were so annoying I almost dropped it, these characters can't communicate that well – understandable, humans are like that BUT dang, give them a break, it's more like they couldn't find the moment to talk which would lead to conversations being cut short, plus them being immature did not help. 

Overall the behavior is the typical behavior of a CN dog blood novel. Wife s*ave ML & righteous and sharp FL. It was more enjoyable in the beginning when she was a simp though. The beginning is really fun. But this is the kind of novel where if you swapped the roles of the leads, the novel wouldn't be too enjoyable in the romantic aspect.

Also romance wise we are only shown some kisses, so a very shoujo romance (while I'd consider GOBTC more of a josei). But there's crime and bullying and some rough scenes. <<less

Maybe it's bc I'm MTLing but in c64 a bunch of extra characters died and in c65 they're alive and kicking like nothing? as if that c64 didn't exist? I am sooo confused.... more>>

Ok, so I've finished it now and now I can say, this feels like 2 novels with different plots put together, it has mainly 2 distinct arcs, the first one felt forced but whatever. It's quite entertaining and fun tho. The worst thing I'd say was the unprompted colorism. Like, someone asked how someone looked and the MC was like "pretty but too dark", uh what? And it's not the only time there's colorism like that (like another character trying to "fix" a dark skinned zombie for comedic purposes. Plus at times it just does not make much sense but you can just gloss over some inconsistencies I guess.  <<less

I love love love this, it's just so cute and the romance is melting my heart it makes me want to go out and talk to someone lmao, it's just so refreshing seeing normal non-toxic people as main characters lol. Plus the cats are so cute and it's just fun! I don't want to finish this, and I also don't want to MTL, sadly it seems only a few chapters get translated yearly, I just hope the MTL is readable enough pleaseee, I'm just enjoying these interactions and it reminds me of why I love slice of life so much. I don't know if I'm glad I've been so busy I can only read a few chapters per day, at least I can enjoy this more. I'm specially slow because reading about the apartments makes me want to seek a nice apartment building like theirs, or makes me crave for certain stuff like boba tea, it just makes everything so appealing. Idk, it's like an aesthetically pleasing novel even when we can't see it, it's kinda picturesque. I'm reading this rn and I love it, it has plot twists, it's pretty good and well thought, like I really am enjoying it, even the MTL is pretty ok. I just have a small complaint that is bothering me rn, in one of the arcs she feeds a newborn water and rice porridge, irl that could make the baby die, you can only feed them milk/formula until they are 6 months old. 

edit: I just finished it and I am sobbing, my complaint from before is irrelevant when it comes to the full story tbh, it just bothered me in that moment, obviously it's fiction tho but it's still an ick. Anyway, this is tagged as tragedy. personally through the novel I did not cry but the epilogue had me sobbing, I think those are the most emotional scenes, the rest of the novel to me felt more exciting although also tragic, but as someone that cries easily with novels I think the most emotional part is at the end. Anyway, I think it was a good adventure that leaves you a bittersweet feeling. More than sadness through the novel I felt bitterness and excitement, I kept looking forward with nervousness to the next chapters because I was so confused in the beginning, there was foreshadowing for stuff plus the way it's written is also a bit confusing, like the sentences end and the scene abruptly changes. Imagine the transitions in films, but written and without a phrase that says "Meanwhile, these other characters were doing x", just as if we could actually "watch it".  But the plot itself is really good, it's very different from other QT novels, so if you are tired of generic novels definitely give this a try. <<less
