He only apologised to the knight cause he got rightly reprimanded for it and MC was afraid of getting yelled at/beat up, not that he actually knew what he did was wrong or wanted to change his h*mophobia. UP: I just can't comprehend his h*mophobia. It makes no sense to me. No one mentions it in the comments cause they probably think it's just part of yaoi by now to treat gays like unicorns or it didn't affect them or it just wasn't worth a mention to them or they didn't even think anything of it and probably would think just like MC, but I'm not one that's ever gonna be complacent about that garbage. It was nice and sweet. I do like a good slice of life and I love farming ambience fiction but won't stick around since they just breeze past and overlook this issue and MC really doesn't feel guilty to look his friends in the eye after saying that nor does he attempt to apologise for his prejudice. Ch. 14: I'm not mature enough to read this kind of braindead plot. It's quite frustrating that he's really acting like a dog and not trying to change his situation in any way. The miscommunications were ridiculous. Idk who would find it funny when your dog is truly sad about something but you just think they're crying over food so you laugh at them instead. That's heartbreaking in every way. I find an owner like that to be garbage, but there really is usually no way to actually tell what a dog's sad about so I have to let that slide. He's made no moves to find out why he changed or how to change... more>> back to human or inform anyone of this change. For no reason at all, I'm already super prejudiced against this Chen Hang or whatever and I think that the eldest brother who got angry with the younger brother was definitely in the wrong for doing s*xual things in the workplace in the first place. I was frustrated the younger brother didn't stand his ground and call the eldest brother out on being disgusting (not for being gay, obviously). The younger brother didn't do anything wrong so I already hate the eldest brother for his hypocrisy, condescending, accusatory, aggressive and self-victimising nature, and I also hate Chen Hang who I unilaterally label as a fake white lotus (I think this won't be the case, but Idc, cause I'm dropping here and I don't need to be right or care what this guy's story is so I'll say what I want). I'm not patient enough to wait for this to go somewhere, which it hasn't in 14 chapters.

+ Also, I thought ML's whole schtick was hating all pets/finding all pets troublesome (according to ML's criteria, ALL normal pets would qualify) except MC, but he suddenly gets 2 more for guarding? Why does he so abruptly need guarding when he didn't need it before? Wouldn't human guards make more sense? That random plot point doesn't make sense and I was very sad that no one considered comforting MC that he wasn't being replaced? Isn't it normal for dogs to feel insecure because they're totally dependent on their owners' affection? I have a dog that's very jealous and insecure by nature and needs more attention. When the black-hearted steward told him that, I really hated his guts. I want him to be a villain that dies in the end. 

+ Also, I feel like MC is genuinely a dog and nothing else. Human MC isn't fleshed out or given life. I don't know what human MC is like at all and not only are we reading his POV, he's the main character. How can you tell us nothing about him, other than 'he can make his home anywhere' and he was depressed about his parents' death? Those are his only traits? He has no wants or dreams or goals or actual personality traits or friends or relatives or other people he loves who would be searching for him? He simply only thinks like a dog? To that one comment that said 'the characters are well done and fleshed out', bruh, lol, did you have a nice dream? I certainly hope so. From what I can see, MC's thoughts are juvenile at best, and subservient without qualms, and I'd believe he was originally a dog, because humans would have PLENTY of qualms about turning into a dog and having to give up pride, self-respect and dignity (unless he was a human without any of that?). Anyway, call me childish. I'm simply thinking on the level of this low IQ-type novel. I'm really not interested enough in my desire to know why he changed to endure reading this. I'm gone. Ch. 40: Wanted to continue, probably won't. It's a light, face-slapping story and the career-progression plot is great. The problem with this whole thing is I immensely dislike ML. Let's not talk about how the other personality is terrible, unreasonable, disgusting, forced MC to have s*x with him but he even forced MC to dress up like a woman IN PUBLIC. I was too repulsed and my brain could not comprehend why this was even a plot point. The diversion tactics were ridiculous, insane, unnecessary and absurd. Ch. 45: Hate this terribly. Ew. MC hasn't slept in days, tired as hell, territory and MC's life are in imminent danger, MC decides to go out to find a man who doesn't like him in the least but calls him lover as opposed to doing something productive or SLEEPING. As an insomniac who knows what this level of exhaustion feels like, my hatred is unrivaled right now. MC has a nosebleed from being too tired, is forcefully assaulted and r*ped and instead of using his magic to fend off the so-called lover [read: rapist], MC runs around pathetically like a weak headless chicken and mind you, never leaves the small room with all that running (to where, Idk, maybe circles; what the author was thinking when writing this is beyond me). Then, MC accepts being r*ped (by a person who, as MC's lover, as the person MC already fell for, REPEATEDLY states they will CONTINUE to r*pe MC even if MC's passed out without the slightest care) while bleeding, out of his mind and desperately in need of sleep cause it's a political move and ALL HUMANS INHERENTLY ARE INTO S&M. Author, are you s*upid or are you trying and failing to gaslight me into thinking I'm the one who's s*upid? That's not a political move or an intellectual move IN ANY WAY and if you're s*upid yourself, don't try to write 'smart' things. Actually smart people will be dumbfounded and repulsed cause you will fail very badly like right now. If you want r*pey smut, write it and own it. Don't make excuses for it or try to make it political/smart. s*x can be a tool to make connections for sure, but this was just ridiculous, not thought out and had little to no guarantee it would return reliable, profitable results that would tie him down. Also, don't infer that psychopathic rapists and their respective idiots are healthy S&M enthusiasts. That's an insult. This novel is the worst thing to waste your time on. Free yourself of the idiocy and disgusting r*pey relationship to hell. I strongly hope this territory is destroyed in the end, along with MC and ML in it, please and thank you. Strong start, DNF.

Ch. 20: Very annoying and very creepy. The misunderstandings were funny at first but then it really just got annoying and dragged on forever. We get it. He's 31 years old and they're idiots, treating him like he's 12. They miss very obvious clues that he's stronger, smarter and is quite clearly not a child, as his acting is only so-so. Everyone on that team has the IQ and observance skills of a doorknob. How are they a renowned defense team for humanity? If so, it's odd there is even one human alive. I also hate how ML treats child MC. It feels very creepy when he's reminiscing and projecting his romantic love for grown... more>> MC onto who he thinks is MC's underaged child. It's giving "I can't have you die, not because I actually care but I can't lose you when you're the piece of the person I love that I can keep/possess and I'll die without you, 12 year old child. Don't mind my overwhelming dependency." It's quite nauseating. I also dislike Xiaowen despite her good intentions. She's clingy and undermining. He's 12, not 5 and he's allegedly been an orphan for 12 years. How did you think he survived by himself? With no strength, survival skills or intelligence? Her behaviour in treating him is very infantilising, condescending and disrespectful, regardless of if he's actually a child or not. I understand wanting to treat him well because he has only experienced hardship but common sense will tell you going too hard on coddling someone who matured early and is independent will only suffocate and frustrate a person, much less a child. She does not respect his words or boundaries, which is clear sign of a person who doesn't respect you or treat you as an equal or even human. Let's not be normalising these very creepy things as if it's cute and funny behaviour. At what point do they figure out he's not human nor a child? Asking as my will to keep reading is steadily diminishing. Strong start, possible weak finish.

Ch. 22: Very annoying and very creepy indeed. That first impression is still on the mark. Everyone is treating a 12 year-old child like a symbol of love and lust and it's so disgusting. Want to poke out ML and the ex's eyes. It's absolutely filthy and pe*verted. I don't know why ML so repulsed by the ex when he's just as repulsive, but pots have a tendency to call kettles black as soon as they've been taken off the stove. Also, I find MC very pathetic and sad. He seems very annoyed but committed to his act, but what is the end goal? There is no real purpose to diligently be acting like an idiotic teenager and acting cute cause infiltration wasn't a mission. How bored with your life do you have to be to want to degrade your own dignity, take on constant inconvenient and annoying tasks everyday while listening to a bunch of idiots around you? Did your IQ and perceptive ability not drop to their level? I still don't understand how no one suspects a thing when he's so obvious about it sometimes. Really and truly, if this was the best team to rely on, just off yourself to save yourself from the sheer incompetence. Very boring truly. I get why MC'd be bored out of his mind to this point cause even the action in this reads like slice-of-life. Strong start, DNF.

Ch. 29.2: I change my mind. MC is disgusting, self-absorbed, self-righteous, pretentious, incompetent, idiotic and greasy. MC keeps saying things like he doesn't know why ML 'is so obsessed with him' when ML never asked you to sleep with him even ONCE AFTER MONTHS, ML doesn't even know or ask if MC stays in the villa he assigned for MC and hasn't forced MC to do anything even after giving him amazing resources. What part of this seems to be even remotely close to an unspoken rules relationship that you know of cause I think you're s*upid if you didn't observe that nothing he does is like a ML wants s*x from you? MC really thinks too much of himself. MC is nuts for reiterating that ML is 'forcefully trading' and thinks he can just unilaterally cancel a contract like that. Is he insane?? That's not how legally binding contracts work. In fact, any 'forceful trading' was done by MC and Grandpa He to begin with. Poor ML was roped in AND was still fulfilling his duty, despite rightfully hating MC's guts. I can't wait for Grandpa He who signed the contract with MC to find MC, slap him hard across the face and slam him with a Court summons. SUE HIM! Breach of contract is a serious offense and MC did nothing to pay back, no matter what drivel he was saying. You ALREADY took the benefits without questioning it, but now that you've benefited and are stable, want to pretend to be on the moral high ground by NOT repaying the favour? You CANNOT breach a legal contract so blatantly, especially if you weren't forced to sign it. What is wrong with MC's useless brain? 

+ For those who sympathise with MC, y'all must be crazy too. When you land yourself in a new place, in a new body, with incomplete or no memories at all, is your first task not to look for all your important documents, birth certificate, driver's, marriage certificate, academic certificates, any and all contracts you have signed? Doing that simple task give you a crap ton of necessary information and obligations. Instead, MC didn't even do the basics when finding out he'd signed some suspicious contract, so instead of looking for it to ascertain its details, MC decided to ASSUME what it was about cause his IQ above 140 and he's Einstein or something. MC, on his high horse, with his head up his own butt, automatically treats ML as scum, which is so ironic, since MC is the only scum I can see for miles. I don't even care about MC's career progression or his fan reactions anymore, which are some of my favourite parts of any story. I just want this man to get wrecked. 

+ Also, MC's out here offending ML, left, right and centre, and says 'he's not afraid of ML', which makes NO SENSE, cause ML is wealthy, powerful, is in the complete right with the contract AND ML can most definitely ruin MC's life if he so desired cause MC is literally an ant and literally has NOTHING, especially since MC has zero connections and understanding of the new world. The only reason MC still has a career and is still alive and well, is because of ML's good graces. I would've ruined MC's life for less. MC has no common sense. That's not having a backbone or self-respect, it's just being rude, reckless and moronic to someone insanely powerful. Someone in the comments said MC is mental, ML always has to compromise and both the author and MC do not realise any of their flaws or what's wrong with MC. I can totally see that already. No self-awareness and self-improvement; just judgement and superiority for the oh-so-perfect MC. I no longer claim MC. He can shove it. Can't wait for MC's face to be slapped. MC is so gross and upsetting. 

+ "If one day I get married, I will be sure to fulfill my responsibilities". MC has a black hole for a brain. No critical thinking skills to be observed ANYWHERE. MC be living life in vain. ML mentioned marriage just cause, of course. Why else? I just hope someone recorded MC saying that, and repeatedly replays it to keep slapping MC in the face for being hypocritical scum. I can tell why this story kept getting dropped. So many people bashing the ML and defending MC in the comments; something is definitely wrong with your brain and you're just as gross, hypocritical and scummy as MC. I don't know what ML does later on, but I sure as hell know what MC has done, and I can find no reasonable or justifiable defense for any of it. Strong start, possible weak finish.

Ch. 30: Author be like, "the wisest of men have their moments of folly". Lol, shut up, author. That's not even funny. Are you delusional or are you hoping the readers are? No one is buying that. We're not blind. MC is s*upid, through and through. Don't insult the word, 'wise'. MC never was intelligent. Just cause you keep saying he is doesn't make it so. Your writing of tell and don't show, is quite poor. Reflect. I'm not going to wait for MC's face to be slapped. This is not worth it. It's just bad writing. The world-building is really bad as well. Strong start, DNF.

Ch. 66: This was going pretty decently, despite MC being useless and having to grit his teeth through humiliation over and over again. When it really became too much, he started fighting back so that's good pacing and timing on the author's part and the plot isn't too bad either. However, since Ch. 60, it's been a constant downward trend where author makes everyone an extreme idiot for no real reasons at all other than making conflict that ISN'T EVEN THERE. MC and ML are in good relations and have established a cooperative relationship. MC invites a suspicious doctor and an apprentice that looks extremely like a soldier in disguise to his room. On seeing... more>> ML, who is a GENERAL, the apprentice, who is very much SOLDIER-like, cries. What does MC think of this occurrence? Nothing at all. This circumstance requires no thoughts or braincells or anything. The realisation of this being ML's soldier is impossible. Why would MC think anything of a strange man crying for no reason after glancing at ML? 

+ Now, to the doctor and apprentice and their man-made brain holes. MC asks doctor to look after ML's injury and ML hates apprentice for speaking poorly of MC and even asks the doctor to cure MC. These 2 are still certain that MC and ML are in a horrible relationship, even with evidence ML has been living extremely well in front of their faces, compounded with MC and ML's constant care for each other's wellbeing. Understanding they're on good terms would take brain leaps not even people on the Moon could accomplish. Totally makes sense. 

+ Finally, the most irritating of them all, the ML, who is like Buddha, God and all things miraculous in one. ML is strong, smart, competent, mature, skilled at most things, his body withstands cold and sickness, he can even be uncrippled against all odds, and he is able to figure most things out at a glance. ML is in good relations with MC and have talked with his subordinate disguised as an apprentice and doctor and knows neither side trusts the other so their all tip-toeing, scheming and hiding things from each other, when everything would be much simpler if they simply KNEW that they were all on the same side. Yet the only one who knows this refuses to open his mouth to tell either side cause he's a childish, petty tsundere and he's going through feels, puberty and tantrums. So instead of having the two sides know about each other to join up, makes plans and have things run smoothly, he just watches them treat each other as enemies, glares at them when they do (as if that changes something), making things infinitely more complicated, roundabout and way longer to get anything done through all the scheming and deception which were never needed in the first place. This man is a general. Yes, I believe that. For sure. Author started taking the wrong meds at Ch. 60 and started self-sabotaging. Are either the author or ML quite sick? Why ruin a decent story to this unrealistic bull? There are so many chapters after this. Do you need to be so contrived and prolong a 'tense' conflict that doesn't even exist??? For what? Get paid by the chapter and trying to wring every plot point for what it's worth, even inventing some ridiculous self-effacing ones and just randomly throwing them in? What's the appeal really. I've been thoroughly annoyed and disgusted these past few chapters. The story wasn't good enough before this to just endure it either. If this doesn't clear up soon, I'll be dropping this here. Strong start, possible weak finish. Possible fave???

Ch. 91: Sigh, I know that these translated chapters are numbered incorrectly from the original work so not that many chapters have passed, but still, time is passing in the novel the same. It's been too long. I've read so many more chapters since Ch. 60 and NOTHING has changed. Everything is being dragged and contrived. Everyone is still s*upid, braindead and frustrating for no reason. I'm thinking the only reason is the author wants to do some kinda big dramatic reveal on ML being able to walk for a long time now for emotional buildup or shock value (like every single other unoriginal, unrealistic, subconsciously and subliminally ableist novel on this site with a 'disabled' ML) or whatever author's really trying to do. I can't stand it, no pun intended. It's so pointless and childish. I'm done with it. I think I've been plenty patient. 

+ It's decent with scheming and everything but it's not all that good. Let's be real. You caught a fearsome enemy war general that's insanely strong, intelligent and resourceful, who's killed many of your people and just his name instills great fear in everyone in your country, and your punishment is to let the enemy not only live, but marry into wealth and nobility, and that should embarrass him which is punishment enough in your eyes? You torture him but don't maim his pretty face at all?? You 'cripple' him by cutting his hamstrings, which could be treatable, instead of the surety of cutting off his legs entirely??? Down to the premise is built on quicksand. The brain holes all over the place are really hard to ignore. At least there was that one commenter I noticed that saw the same crap I did. With all the 5 stars I saw down there before reading, I was sure that the one negative review wouldn't reflect my views. Who would've thought. I'll miss MC's eunuch, Meng Qianshan, though. Only person I liked in this, although Concubine Gu was dramatic, funny, cool and likeable as well. At the very least, Meng Qianshan knew he was s*upid, owned it and worked around it. Eunuch Meng Qianshan worked very diligently and was amusing. Everyone else was also s*upid, but author insisted on SAYING they were smart. They weren't. Everyone else could jump off. Also, MC mentioned ages ago that he'd bring Concubine Gu's family to live with them and even made Concubine Gu shed emotional tears, but for what, cause I haven't seen that happen. I don't know if I missed it or author forgot or what's what at this point. Strong start, DNF.

I understand author probably wanted to work on romance along with career progression, but this was not it. It left no suspense, anticipation, independence or yearning. It was just s*upid. Ch. 102.2: Wow, really, author? This is so gross.

+ 6th Act: Variety show pairing.

MC only has 5 works and 1 variety show and ML couldn't be excluded even ONCE? Are you quite sick? This is getting beyond old. What the hell is even this mess? It's so unlikely that fans wouldn't see through this and even less likely that they would support it, so I don't know what is going through your brain to make it so blatant? Did you make everyone in your world selectively blind? Why make ML and MC pretend they want to hide their relationship? Why pretend ML and MC have logic, brains and passion for their careers because clearly they don't after making 6 s*upid decisions consecutively. Sigh. This was bad and just poorly done all around.

Ch. 103.1: I officially hate them as a couple. So greasy and disgusting, especially the ML, and it's true that MC's character completely collapsed. Sigh, what is this? Do I still need to waste time here?

Ch. 71: You know, for the most part, I was willing to overlook a LOT cause I knew this was a braindead novel with not much sense, just made for laughter and fluff. In the first half, it delivered on that a lot. Due to that, I could bypass a lot of idiocy and anger. However, the author just crossed my bottom line. In the beginning, I hated MC cause of how he talked down on ML and never tried to understand MC's sufferings, his father's sufferings or have some sense or a backbone. However, he kept surprising me and he grew more and more mature. The comedy is also centred on MC, his wild... more>> thoughts and amusing personality so I let that go, as well as how it was too easy for MC to get into a top uni. 

+ Another mistake is that all the women in this are written to be: (1) exceedingly pushy, strong and assertive (can be good traits but in this story, it's usually never used in the right way/for the right things) or, (2) evil and selfish or, (3) weak and submissive fools. Pick a category, there's nothing else to choose from. Not one of them has been likeable or in depth this whole time. Lowkey misogynistic, if you ask me.    

+ MC's friends also make me want to vomit every time they show up. Talking about people like they're disposable, comparing them to food, forcing prostit**es/women unto their friends so they all become degenerates so they don't feel inferior, and not understanding/respecting loyalty and saying men just get tired of the same thing is just a nasty excuse. I hated that about MC's friends and how they always love the opportunity to speak ill of MC and exploit MC's goodwill and money.

+ Now, to ML, who ultimately made me drop this. Sigh. It's a braindead novel so I should've expected it but there is h*mophobia, acephobia and the whole nine yards. It could not miss the good old "I'm straight, it's just him" that makes anyone with braincells want to bash their heads in. This one took it a step further and went, "Gay s*x and gay p*rn is disgusting and repulsive; I'm straight; I don't understand how two men could love each other; two men staying together/getting married is impossible; I want him to tell me he likes me though so I can play with his feelings and hurt him more; I find p*rn disgusting but don't ask if I'm as*xual cause that's just as insulting as asking if I'm gay, which I'm not."

+ What really took the cake was that this chapter, ML intentionally flirted with a guy, complimented the guy on his looks just to see MC get really hurt, cry and run away. What do you do after that? That's right, laugh at his pain cause that's funny and "cute" for you and refuse to apologise for messing with him and won't bother to even coax him to feel better. Instead, distance yourself from him and treat him worse that usual cause that's fun and MC will forgive and forget anyway cause he has no spine. For a person who's supposed to feel uncomfortable with all the help and gifts he received from MC, for someone who's supposed to be grateful and wracking their brains to come up with a way to repay MC, ML seems mighty complacent and is already taking it all for granted. Make no mistake. If you think on it, every time ML "teases" MC, MC ends up crying or hurt. ML insults MC quite a lot, puts him down and hurts him intentionally so I can't like this ML at all. ML's way too patronising, takes advantage of things important to MC to hurt him and looks down on him way too much and too naturally. MC had every right to complain about their marriage if ML was that condescending, demeaning and used his power to make their relationship unbalanced. Now here's the part that gets me. The guy trying to get with ML is just creating this ruse to get MC's attention but ML plays along, knowing how much more it will hurt MC than anything he's ever done or said before. ML also admitted he doesn't know what this plan is for and it doesn't seem like it would achieve anything, but ML agrees to it and even accepts money to do a pointless thing that'll just hurt MC for no reason other than spite. That's so vile and past my bottom line, I can't with this anymore. My heart literally sunk. You can't make something like this light comedy anymore. It's not fluffy. The guy plotting this for MC's attention in the worst most hurtful and ML going along with it for money, they're both sick in the head and beyond redemption. I'm done here. Strong start, DNF.

Ch. 198: Wow, ew.  I hate how they speak about depressed, vulnerable drug addicts. ML so cruel for speaking about the vulnerable parts of the people close to him with so much scorn. Then, MC follows up with 'You must have suffered being around these disgusting drug addicts. You are beautiful and clean.' I've never heard something so jarring, out of touch and lacking in empathy. ML is a terrible person. Also, your country isn't heaven just cause drugs are banned/illegal. You have severe problems that can't be found anywhere else in the world, literally embedded into your problematic culture, hierarchy and infrastructure, so I don't know where ML and author get off on their high horse. Same for Korea. Holy land of no drugs yet su*cide rates are soaring, so where's the correlation? Deal with your raging alcoholics that can get away with mu*der first, then we'll talk. Different side of the same coin. This is sick and so narrow-minded and judgemental. 

+ I'm derisive of drugs and alcohol, to the point of being psychologically and physically averse to them. They're probably related to trauma I have so I refuse to be in the same room with these things but you will never catch me talking about people like this and referring to drug addiction as a 'hobby'. I can't imagine very many people had goals and dreams and one of them was to become a drug addict. I can't ever imagine hearing a person say, 'I want to be addicted to drugs to the point of suffering, losing my rationality and ruining my life'. Sure, you might say the rich are a less vulnerable population and less susceptible to being brainwashed, manipulated and coerced into drugs like the poor so for them it's a 'choice' and 'fun', but that's not up to you to decide. It takes a simple weak moment or just being a bit weak-minded. If these people are close to you, it'd make a world of difference if you just helped them in a constructive way, like therapy or rehab, or I don't know, just being a friend until they can stand on their own two feet, rather than treating them like dirty tr*sh that needs to be hidden and buried in your past and abandoning them while being so condescending. I understand wanting to draw a line and a boundary or completely cutting off a toxic, tiring person in your life who has no intention of changing or doesn't even want to try to get better or is maybe even harming you because of their addictions, but that literally isn't this situation, especially from ML's tone and manner in talking about this. You can tell a lot about the author's mindset. ML, MC, author and even I am not above these people. Screw you, seriously. Although it was funny, this plot isn't actually all that interesting for me to overlook this. It was getting kinda stale, so I'm out easy. Strong start, DNF.

Ch. 23.3: I hate it here. Why is the MC brainless? Was it not enough that he is a weak crybaby (I read this cause this interested me) that any average girl can easily overpower? MC literally has zero good points other than kindness. It literally caused me a migraine. For a straight guy, he's already made out with multiple men and I've only read twenty chapters. My question is why they must make MC bleed every time they make out with him, cause that just sounds horrible and not sensual in any regard. Strong start, DNF.... more>>

Ch. 68: This is mad boring and basic. I got tired of reading it waiting for the divorce. It started to remind me of Remarried Empress which I dropped after 100 chapters cause she still wasn't even divorced, much less remarried. It seemed like pointless torture, which is exactly what this is. So I decided I'm not going to continue it and read the spoilers, which made me understand completely that I was right to drop this. Apparently, she doesn't leave with traditional divorce because she doesn't want to harm Lu Chang Gong, but I thought that was a no-brainer that after the divorce, she'd take him, make him a Lin and continue to teach... more>> him herself so he passes the exam. Instead she did something like impersonating a dead person, which I don't get at all and seems overly complicated for no reason. MC could easily gather evidence for divorce, present it when the Lu family is in a tight position, coerce them into signing it with the condition of taking Lu Chang Gong away or maybe if ML and MC met, ML could see her bad conditions and convince her to hatch a scheme to marry him so the Empress would have reason to step in a support their divorce and remarriage to ML. 

+ Why go this long, complicated boring-sounding route for no reason AND IT ONLY HAPPENS AFTER OVER 100 CHAPTERS? That's as crazy as Remarried Empress. If MC and Chang Gong don't stay together and she just ups and abandons him there with those vile hyenas, there's no real charm to the story anymore, and with the unoriginal harem face-slapping only being mediocre, I can't imagine her abandoning the Lu family to their own incompetence and destruction would be as satisfying as I want. Comments also say the romance is vague and from spoilers, apparently the only reason ML is interested in marrying MC only is because he was traumatised by almost being castrated while trying to have s*x (LOL, AHAHAHAHAAHAHAH), otherwise MC would've long been pulled into ML's harem, WHICH IS SICK TO THINK ABOUT. He'd have ended up just as villainous and scummy if it weren't for the realest, going for the groin. LOVE HER. There should be more like her, making more men celibate or monogamous, the tr*sh that they are. It was overall very draggy to me and it seems like that trend would continue to pipe out as many chapters as possible. Tedious as hell. Strong start, DNF.
