Such a beautiful novel. It has one of the best world buildings, character grow (no only the MC but each character even some you'd think you'll never read about them again are never forgotten and come back in a logical way, just wonderful), and romance (the way Yuder learns little by little about his feeling and how to express them and to love Kishiar in his own way it's just fantastic).

Honestly, I totally recommend it.

Turning is what made me start to read more web-novels. The story has an interesting plot unlike some other stories which just focus on the romance without any development to the storyline.

I'm not the greatest fan of slow-burns but recently because of this novel I think I'm going to start enjoying them. Do not be discouraged to read this because of negative reviews of how the ML is a manipulative person, or how Yuder is too daft etc...

There are some comments complaining about "false tags"like smut. If you were to... more>> actually observe there is also a slowburn tag.

As mentioned before, this is a slowburn and the first development to their relationship is about ch 200 where they kiss.

The ML mentioned/ slightly revealed his feelings in ch 30-40. If all you're here for is smut then this is not the novel for you. <<less

First thing first, if you are the type that cannot stand slow burn and prefer something straightfoward and fast pace one, then this story is not for you. Like, really, does the 900+ chapters put on the description says nothing about this novel?

Second, I really like the development of MC and ML relationship. The pace of it is just nice. Not to forget the character development of MC and his relationship with other characters. The other characters are interesting as well. And what's more, the fighting scenes, personally, I like... more>> how it was written, it's not boring as my I am an impatience type. I cannot think anymore elaboration since other comments has put great elaboration about this novel. Waiting for more. <<less

Genuinely the best thing I’ve read in a while. I love all the characters even if they suck (kiolle). All of the characters are 3D and believable. I just wish there were more translated chapters so I can binge to my hearts content lol. Kishiar is a green flag and I love the interactions between Yuder and him. A must read 👍

IMO the only downsides or flaws this novel has is the amount of chapters scaring away potential readers (If they arent into reading more than 200 ch's) and Yuder's lack of EQ (but thats ok mehehehhhe)

I love this so much!

I'm invested. It's the type of story, where you just sit down and binge it in one go. I hate that I didn't find this later lmao, now I gotta wait for more chapters.

I like the fact, that the MC isn't omniscient, he doesn't know of things he didn't know in his past life. He also acts according to his mental age and experiences in his last life, which sadly isn't the case in a lot of novels imo. The plot is interesting and at no... more>> point (at least till now) did I force myself to continue reading, just to get through the current plot line. I like the pacing a lot.

The dynamic between the ML and the MC is also super cute, the ML is an extroverted playful type and the MC is rather quiet and calm. Only the ML can stirr him up inwardly sometimes. The combination is super funny XD. The other characters are also fleshed out, they don't just exist for a few chapters and disappear.

(Oh, and the translation is great too!)

All in all, I think this is a high quality novel, definitely worth a try! :3 <<less

One of the best BLs I've ever read. Usually, I'll get fatigued from reading the same story for a long period of time but I have not set this novel down at all.

The plot itself is very simple but complicated. It's simple because MCs overall goal isn't clear but makes the reader assume that he just wants a better future. And the MCs goal wasn't clear to the reader because MC is also figuring out what he wants as an ends tate without realizing it. The character growth MC goes... more>> through is almost like a 2nd coming of age story for him. As the plot thickens, MC not only deals with issues that he's seen from his previous life but actively grows and learns internally that I think most authors try to strive for.

MCs relationship with the ML isn't a smooth ride, in a good way! The issues from the previous life does and does not hamper their growing attraction to each other. MC does a good job in separating the past and present ML good but there's a realistic mental block that prevents MC from truly connecting with the ML at the beginning. But when it's slowly lifted, it's an absolute beautiful love story.

Nothing about the story feels forced. That's the best part of this story. Even when obvious secrets are in the way, there's no irrational reactions from anyone that's not justified.

This a a slow burn yall. The MC and ML won't get together until about 300 chapters in. But it's so worth the wait.

Ironically enough, I want to say it's less that a year with 600+ chapters in. So it's almost like an extended Romeo and Juliette with how fast and slow this story is.

Tldr: As long as you don't mind slow burn BL, I 1000% recommend.

  • Well thought out characters
  • Great translation
  • The plot and romance is quite balanced out (imo)
Cons:

  • Slow burn (not everyone likes it, but me love it)
  • On-going (as of march 2024)
  • Omegaverse (like slow burn, some people hate this but not me. Imo this setting isn't getting used much between the couple until... *Coughs600+* so it is totally ok)
I find hard to find cons because I love this book so much, and I probably have rose tinted glasses on but this book is great ♡⁠ (⁠Ӧ⁠ｖ⁠Ӧ⁠｡⁠)

Just pure speculation but (proceed with caution)

Haven't finished it yet but I'm loving this. I'm not qualified to criticize and make analysis since this is the second novel I've read after little mushroom, but personally? I don't have enough vocabulary knowledge to express how good and interesting this story is.

I just started reading this after reading the newly adapted manhua no merely than a week ago, I truly liked the plot right from the start and then I saw some of the comments that it is an adaptation from a novel, and that it was a slow-burn romance. Right then and there I searched for the novel, tried registering to korean apps but failed because there was no way I could get a korean approval code, searched again until I found this. My expectations for this story died the second the perfume chapter appeared and it was obvious that this is yet another of those tr*sh Korean BLs where MC is a virg*n bottom secretly yearning and getting hurt by a rubbish manhoe top ML who will screw anything that moves.

And yeah, I've read the story outline and the spoilers that a lot of it is just for reputation, but the story doesn't say that all his womanising was a lie and he's very experienced. In addition to that, ML does his... more>> own thing and never tells MC anything important, which leads to MC experiencing over a decade of mental pain and anguish, and self-blame. He never really shields MC in situations he needs to either (like in the first life, where them sleeping together gets revealed early and people look down on MC for sleeping his way in). So, despite his attractive design and the fact that I love blonds, ML in this book is a complete scumbag romance-wise. And without romance, I would rather spend my time on a different book that offers a more interesting plot.

Oh, and of course, MC here, despite the rebirth cheat, is always 2d place to ML because goddess forbid would they make an omega bottom actually superior in anything. He knows less than ML despite living a second life, he is still less skilled/powerful than ML, and of course he has absolutely zero political influence or money. In this life he is actually worse off in terms of conventional standing because he isn't even a commander but he really is just MLs shadow who doesn't have any particular interests or goals of his own that have nothing to do with ML or saving the world (and the second is also heavily related to ML). <<less

It's such a beautiful story, I just I can't you know? The slow burn sensation of two main character developing a feelings for each other. How warm every step of their relationship is feeling for me as a reader. I highly recommend it. Two new characters per day. Love it! No boring moments, tho it took me quite a while to read all available chapters. The MC is ok, quiet bland tbh. ML greatly reminds me of Sung Hyunjae from The S-Classes That I Raised. Both tall, blond and a freaking flirt. 😂 Btw, this is slow burn. Like super slow. I'm already in chapter 167, and the only 'intimate' (if you can even call it that) part is ML tying MC's belt, and the princess carry. Lol

The story is really intriguing because of the mysteries that your curiosity will really kick you to seek what are the things that give those part mysterious. This novel is so good. Im loving the plot so far and slowburn? Hell yeahh. I like everything so far and the MC is what I really like for the protagonist to have. I always love this kind of MC. The novel is intriguing with its political and mystery plot that is yet to reveal. Also both the MC and ML are mature and I love their dynamic so far. I love their character. How is this novel not more popular?? HOW. I'm honestly shocked.

Truly a delightful tale. Many of the reviews here already said a lot of what I would have wanted so I'll just add some points to those unsure if it's a story worth your time.

Don't let the number of chapters scare you. I tend to be wary of overly long novels since they tend to drag on but this is not the case. The author manages to make the story flow in such a way that you don't feel the... more>> length. I found myself at chapter 100 surprised as to how fast I got there without any notice.

Additionally, some of the inconsistencies you might notice in the plot at the beginning are things that the characters will also start to notice and wonder about, so a lot of them are intentional.

The story is so good I'm actually going to mtl the rest of the story (even though the translator is doing an incredible job, but with this many chapters it takes a while) <<less

Read all the available translated chapters in less than a day, then immediately proceeded to create a ridibooks account and apply for 19+ access within the next hour of finishing. You can take from that what you will.

While I feel a suspension of belief for the MC and story setting is absolutely required, the plot overall is interesting enough that I don't pay as much attention to how ridiculously OP the MC is and certain plot holes. Like I wanna know so bad how MC and ML get together (and... more>> why it's rated 19+ on ridibooks kekekekek). I'm really enjoying watching the MC unravel mysteries he didn't know from his past, watching him slowly but surely changing his future, and having a good chuckle over his interactions with the rest of the Cavalry and with the ML.

He's just so bewildered why people are treating him nicely and familiarly because it didn't happen to him in the past. As far as I can tell, the story has him set up as a bit of a unreliable narrator, but you're given enough hints and other POVs to realize what's going on.

But yeah going back to suspension of belief, I just really don't understand some parts of the setting; ABO, ability awakening, medieval fantasy, and then throwing in some regression. It's certainly among the more unique story settings I've ever seen, but there's just some parts where I basically go, wait a sec, what?

One of them being just how, well, special the MC is. In his previous future, he's the only omega in the Cavalry, and the leader and being known as the most powerful Awakener basically. Apparently, pretty much all other omegas are basically sold into s*avery for the rich and powerful and treated as s*x toys. MC is the sole exception because he for some reason doesn't have pheromones that other people can smell or something, so heats were a much less issue than other omegas.

Like... it just seems so singular to the MC, I don't know why the author didn't just give omegas overall a better situation. If only ability awakeners can get a second gender, than why haven't there been any omegas fighting back against their treatment? Surely at least one other one has to have awakened a decent ability that can fight back against non-powered humans. I'm hoping this will be better explained or explored in future chapters.

Don't even get me started on the MC's abilities. Ability to wield any weapon, and the ability to wield anything from nature. Forget all the usual things like manipulating fire and water and all that, he can make things like heavy rocks as light as a feather with just a touch, manipulate swords like with telekinesis (because its iron forged in fire which are both from nature?? I didn't really understand the reasoning behind it), and he can't get drunk because alcohol is just water and grain spirits which are both natural so he's not affected by the negative effects of it.

Apparently his only weakness basically is anything unnatural, like monster tendons and magic bred horses. He can get drunk off monster blood, which is usually super poisonous to people. I'm still so baffled over his abilities like it's insane what he can do. Everyone else's abilities kinda pale in comparison.

Though again, the story, character interactions, and character depth so far are really good which definitely makes me forget or not care about the small bits of the setting that confuses me. Can't wait to read more! <<less

I honestly surprised on how good this story. I might not have roaming all the bl novel existed but to stumble upon this novel is truly fortunate, I wish to find more story like this that have balance over love and life story. The engaging historical story, royal family on top of that and the slow burn is really satisfying. The love story is truly elegant and sophisticated sweet. I love how they portrayed each character with it's own depth. Incredible art!

I'm so happy I found this novel but I am extremely sad at the same time because it will be hard to find something this good to read while waiting for more chapters. In this novel there is no unnecessary characters or events. Everything is important. If you think someone is minor character he or she can come back 300 chapters later and be really important in current arc. Characters are like real people. They have flaws, behave irrationaly and grow. Relationships are probably the strongest thing in this novel... more>> and they don't exist only between main couple. Plot is interesting too. I LOVE THIS SO SO MUCH!!! I cant explain it properly by words but first of all, the characters, especially the main character; Yuder is very well written. I also love it when author didnt made MC an all powerful characters bc they placed a weakness for each characters. Every characters feels so realistic ueueue.

Also, KUDOS TO THE TRANSLATOE YEAH!!! Tysm for picking this up—I owe my untouched hair to you lmao if I hadnt found this novel, I mightve cut my hair out of boredom and ill regret it... more>> sighs.

I love how the author balanced the BL and the plot in this novel. 10/10!!!
