First of all, I love the MC. His character is so lovable. For me, he is impossible to dislike at all. All his actions and thoughts all satisfy my criteria of an MC who makes a reader's day better. I also like his OPness, this is a plus since I've always liked capable MCs who can stand up for theirselves and also have the power to keep his position as the MC and not be overpowered by the ML (it's usually the ML who is always so special and stronger than the MC) (though the ML is also a unique existence here, it did not cover MC's limelight). For the ML, I love him. I love how he treasured the friendship between him and MC and how it gradually turned into love. It was kinda sad how he realized he was in love with the MC but the MC recovered very quickly. I also love the way he started pursuing the MC, no forceful ways, just going with the flow, if an opportunity strikes, attack with ambiguious words!! At that I thought the MC would be dense but to my surprise, he seem to get it immediately and started analyzing his feelings for ML. When he got his conclusion, he went to ML and started fidgeting so cutely. My heart became a mess at that scene. The ML confessed his feelings. Though it wasn't the best time, since they were interupted repeatedly, it was basically confirmed. Ugh, I love them. Next is the Cen family, I love all of them. They were open-minded and supported the fifth child's decisions. When they knew the ML liked the MC, they were purely supportive and never went against their relationship. Instead, they even felt that the ML is not good enough for MC since they all think of how a good child the MC is. It was so funny with the second sister. When she caught the ML holding down the MC on the bed in the hospital. All her thoughts were that her younger brother is a beast ahahahahaha. She slapped her precious younger baobei thrice and showed concern for the MC. I love her ahahahaha. The ML was so wronged. I don't have much opinion on MC's mother, but I liked how she knew not to overstep her bounds and start controlling how the MC lives his life. Instead she tried to know all his hobbies and likes and treated him as a friend. Of course, she also exercised her position as a mother by buying all sorts of things for the MC, spoiling him. She also supported MC and ML's relationship when she knew how the Cen family treated her son well. Finally the master, the most mysterious character in the novel. I think he was called Wu Shao by his friends? I'm not sure. But I'm very thankful for him, for raising MC to be a person that loves the common people but also loves himself. His character is so interesting. One moment you think what he's saying isn't true because of how casual he is when talking about it. But when you think about it again, everything he said was true. I really want to know his past, his story. And I wished he could have had a partner to spend his life with. But still he was blessed with a very adorable baby whom he raised to be the hero for many people and to continue his legacy. Those legendary figures in the Feng Shui world all hide into the common people to experience the life they haven't had since all they could since young was study and then go help people sieze a ray of hope, often neglecting themselves. That's why, I think the master was very satisfied. I hope so. The plot is very satisfying, the MC met good and bad people, people who had good fate and people who had a bad fate. It opens our eyes to see that each person we meet have lives of their own that greatly differs from ours. And if help could be given, give it to those who truly needs it. The MC's character is a person willing to sacrifice himself for the people, which is why I pity the ML a little since he always has to worry about the MC being in coma or being injured. I don't know if I could sacrifice myself like the MC, but if a situation does happen, I hope I won't burden my loved ones. Now I'm just writing whatever crosses my mind. Its 2 AM here btw. Anyways, the MTL is readable. So if you don't have the patience like me, give it a try.

-- It needs a "fantasy" tag/genre addition, this isn't a serious story about a Taoist, which I expected from the genre and tags, it's strong soft-fantasy. I have around 100 chapters left but am going to draw the line here despite the risk of missing some super great development somewhere close to the end, over 50 chapters are enough to know that it's not for me. MC is the basic "I'm the greatest medium/witch/whatever" teenage dream. He knows when and where someone is going to sneeze and shows up in time to hand them a tissues.
Ghosts, rituals, talking to deities, fighting evil practitioners, he can do everything and always wins.
Old masters don't hold a candle to him, he beats them all in terms of knowledge and ability. Bad guys all get punished, good people always get lucky, the novel is strong on instant-karma. Also, there's some strange overlap with cultivation that doesn't quite fit and seems to exist only when MC needs it, like absorbing moon essence without any kind of hint that xianxia cultivation is a thing in the world the novel takes place in, and no one but him seems to be doing it or even know about it. Nothing against a nice wish-fulfilment story, weren't it for how repetitive it is. Person meets MC, doesn't believe he's a master/is disrespectful to him, MC shows his might, everyone's in awe and becomes a fan of him. That's basically the whole story, every few chapters. The characters are nice, not very detailed, everyone's OP and perfect, so nothing to complain about if you just want to relax.
Romance is fine, no love at first sight but your typical "adults don't realise they are in love". I kinda expected more from this, maybe because the description reads like it's about someone who isn't already so perfect, I thought I would get struggles and see MC doing some hard work but there's neither. It doesn't really feel like a serious story, more like a YA a young writer created as a personal dream where the good always wins and the MC is omnipotent, jam-packed with slightly mismatched tropes and topics that turn it into something that reads like an entertainment story with Taoists. Recommended for those who are looking for exactly that, not so much for those who want a at least slightly believable novel.
MC is an orphaned child who was born at a very unlucky date and time. He was abandoned and shortly after, was picked up by his adoptive father that is a Taoist master. His adoptive dad later toom him as a disciple when he was discovered to have a knack for metaphysics etc. There is a plot twist later on about MCs origins. I am very glad MC found his mum after a long time. It was then revealed that his mother has been looking for him and she didnt abandon him when he was a baby.
All in all, if I had to say anything, it's that he didnt take in a disciple even when he got older. They didnt adopt any kids or take in any potential candidates for the 24th generation of his Taoist clan. This saddened me because it meant he isnt fated to meet anyone suitable to be a disciple.
