Some people are saying she's not abusive because she was drunk and she's an alcoholic/depressed. I mean come on, who are you kidding. She's an alcoholic, she broke windows, smashed and threw things around, that eventually physically hurt her child and husband while never taking care of her greatly neglected family at all and some people still called her not abusive??? Come on.

MC basically treated ML like tr*sh, they married because of an accident, and ML still followed her like a puppy wherever she goes unwilling to divorce her and showering her with love? SHE ab*seD HIM AND THEIR CHILD FOR GOD'S SAKE.

I mean come on, who'd not hold even a shred of grudge to a woman who had basically treated him like tr*sh for years. She even threw things to broke the windows and tr*shed the studio her husband gifted to her. Even a child who'd been continuously ab*sed still cling so faithfully without a doubt to the ab*ser?

A mother in law who can accept being called names and ab*sed by her daughter in law yet still acting tough and giving her money? A stepsister in law who's low in standing in her family, afraid of her brother's power, yet funnily brave enough to continuously teases said brother to sleep together?

There was a side plot where a character got second degree burn AND THE FIRST AID TREATMENT WAS TO RUB IT WITH ALCOHOL.

Yes, the child does have a burn on his arm that came from a cigarette the FL was smoking. It is misleading to intimate that she stubbed it out on him - she was drunk, the toddler came into her room and the cigarette accidentally fell on him. Is she ultimately responsible? Yes. Did she intend to harm her child? No.

The FL's feelings towards her child are quite complex. The situation he was conceived in was grey-bordering-black, but she does love him after she gives birth. After [plot], her self-esteem plummets and she decides that she is going to leave. So as to not harm the child even more she keeps her distance and "doesn't care for him". Was this a logical course of action? No. Does she care for her child? Yes.

I honestly think it's a bit rich to say she is abusing him. She didn't want to get married. After they get married she wants a divorce. The ML refuses. She treats him badly (exhibits abusive behaviour). The ML still refuses. She treats him worse. He still refuses. While she is violent, the ML is ultimately the one with the power, and it is because he exerts this power that the FL devolves into using self-destructive and violent behaviour.

Is this well-written? No. Is this realistic? No. Is it good for the well-being of both parties? No.

Edited to add: reading this back, the whole "not leaving the abusive lover" is something which characterises many stories of domestic ab*se. However, I don't think her husband falls into this category (if only because he's the ML so of course he's going to be in control of the situation -_-)

• Structure. Don't expect the FL's past to be drip-fed. It's explained in a long flash-back towards the end of the story (chapter 40+). Up until then you're just as confused as the FL is in regards to how her friendships, enmities, and scars formed. Could drip-feeding the past have created more tension? Yes, but it's satisfactory the way it is.
• The FL's past. Is it satisfying?... it's satisfying to finally find out all the missing pieces of the jig-saw, but in other respects it's overdone (*cough* the debacle of how she really lost her voice *cough*).
• The ML. He's overdone. Waaaaaay too overdone. He's like a teenage girl's fantasy husband - cold and ruthless to everyone else but forever loyal to you. Let's not pretend that this trope is only used in this story, but it's noticeable here because the ML's ruthlessness is shown and exaggerated, and his TLC also... goes beyond the limits of what a normal person could endure. To say he's a masochist would not be too far out.
• The FL and ML's relationship. When she doesn't have her memory: eh, cute. In so far as Chinese webnovels go. In the past: I'm convinced that he is the one responsible for pushing her deeper into the well of despair, self-loathing, and low self-esteem that she ends up in after [plot]. Instead of declaring "I'll make you better" he should have just quietly showed her into a psychiatrists office. Then the story would have been much shorter and the FL wouldn't have been so broken.
• The complicated web of relationships. Everyone is related to someone who had a motivation to do something which then affected someone else which caused harm to the FL. Or something like that. You get the picture.
• The villains. This is where the FL not remembering the past really hinders the story. If you knew what she'd been through the face-slapping would be much more satisfying.

After MC loses her voice and seek help from her stepsister, stepsister drugged her and called ML (assuming he is an old single man). ML finds MC and tries to take her to hospital but then MC jumps and sleeps with ML.

HELLO!!!! I mean this is r*pe!!! The author tried to make it sound casual and all in that 'well, you've seen how nice the ML is to MC. He truly loves her. It was just a small bump. It also made a cute baby so all wells that ends well.'

BUT at the moment MC was under the influence of drugs AND she has NEVER EVER met ML in person yet. So for the ML who is SANE AND RATIONAL to just ACCEPT that 'well she jumped me so it's not r*pe. She wanted it.' SERIOUSLY r*pe is r*pe, if ML really loved MC he would've taken her to hospital rather than just ACCEPT her jumping him and then 'I'll take responsibilities'

I swear, if ML wasn't described as a handsome CEO but instead an old fat balding CEO, do you really think the MC would've been happy to find how she was pregant with his child (even if he is going to take responsibilities?). I swear... r*pe is r*pe. STOP LETTING HANDSOME ML GET AWAY WITH r*pe JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE HANDSOME. ALSO STOP WRITING STORIES OF r*pe -> LOVE.

MC never hated ML and their son. She loves them so much but she think that she does not deserve someone like ML. ML cried (ML always tells his son that man should not cry. LOL) hearing MC confession that she actually has been in loves with him since 6month pregnant.

ML really sweet and doting husband. He becomes her male God because he coincidentally saves her from traficking (ML follows MC to the village because he feels jealous that MC ex-boyfriend is there. LOL)
