This... what can I say about it. It’s good, I guess?

If you want a fluffy cute read with a little bit of angst then you’ll like this novel. It’s filled with the typical cliches. If you don’t really pay attention to the action of the characters and focus on the cute romance then a lot would give this five stars.

The ML and his child were both mentally and physically abused. The ML is lowkey yandere obsessed with the FL and would do everything for her, even if it means hurting himself. You can see the effects mental trauma every time he says “Really? You won’t leave me and your son?” or “I’m sorry for spilling something (even when his hand was the on that was scalded).” Too be fair though, it was his fault for not letting the FL go, all she wanted was to divorce and it just went in and out of his ears.

I think the amnesia plot was quite a sloppy way of the author to make the readers forgive the fl. “Oh don’t worry, that was just the past you. You’ve changed into a new person blah blah blah...” Before the FL fell she was already trying to love again, trying to change into a better person. Wouldn’t it be much more interesting to see the progress of someone who used to be scared of loving into a one who can accept love and themselves instead of someone who just randomly lost memories?

Ah, yes, the child abuse. I don’t know what to say about it because I’ve never really been through something like that, but what I can say is that that child will remember that moment.

The fluffy and adorable atmosphere overshadows the underlying things happening in the novel.

Also, who just talks to a 40-year old when you’re SIXTEEN?! I don’t want to be sensitive but that’s just weird af man.

Now, onto the side characters. The antagonists are just dumb, s*upid, whatever word you can find synonymous to it. They have no flavor and is basically a stepping stone for the plot. None of them are interesting and most of them are irrational. I forgot about them the moment they were gone.

Also, when the sister was locked with the brother they... you know? I scrolled hella fast and didn’t even bother since it was too weird.

Idk if the author has a fetish for military men but all of the partners were part of the military, cliche cold chilling aura men. The girls are ok, they all have a lover and have their own side stories. The Meng Tian one is still weird.

To wrap this all up, yes this is a good read if you don’t want to focus that much and want a good time. Quite unrealistic but ey, that’s fine. The FL face slaps people and the ML is hopelessly devoted to the fl. A fluffy and cute read! <<less

This is one of the best romance novels I have read in recent times. First, a kudos to the translator and the editor who did a great job, I especially liked her notes. And yes, I agree with her, the story in a way is very much like Eternal love (the second half when Bai Qian becomes immortal again and losses memory of her human self) and the child is as cute as their child.

Also, this is not a reincarnation story; she actually has amnesia for a brief period of... more>> time and I think she went back to her 20 yr self because she was most happy at that point of time before everything went down.

That given, the FL is a very relatable one. She is no Holy Mother and she gives back 10 times if anyone harms her and her turning from a sweet naive girl to a hardcore cynic is natural and very real. I could do the same if the world repaid my kindness with schemes. I also like how she doesn't jump to conclusions or start being suspicious just because she heard something. She talks and listens and also admits her mistakes.

The reason she lost her voice was that she inhaled smoke while trying to save a child but his parent tried to blackmail her by blaming her for the fire. So the early story her sister told her was a lie to save her from that trauma. The reviewer who went into details about how drinking spiked tea with glass can't spoil her throat hasn't read the full story.

The ML is one of the best. He is black-bellied but only to those who harm him or the FL. He is jealous but not too over the top. The way he patiently tries to bring the FL out of her depression is very touching and those flashbacks will make you cry. And no he didn't r*pe her; he tried the best to take her to a doctor but she was beyond help at that time. And come on, she is the woman he had loved for years and knew couldn't get. Cut him some slack. The fact that he was a gentleman is shown when he didn't touch her for the rest of their married life (before her accident) and then even when she was sleeping with him and was all over him in her sleep but he didn't do anything because he knew it could be wrong.

Other characters are also well-drawn especially the eldest sister. In fact, both the sisters are very confident, strong-willed women who get the men they deserve. The child is also so cute not too c*cky like other novel child and behaves his age. <<less

Love the short read. There are so many heartache and tragic past, but at the end it turns out well and happy. All the cp found their own happiness. Which is so good after all the suffering. It’s agood read.

This was so satisfying and verrrry good. Although the chapters are short, reading it felt very long, but in a good way. I realllly like the ML and his personality. He treated the FL so sweetly and loveably. He cared about her so much and forgave her for everything she did. So much patience. And their son is the sweetest baby I've seen in a long time. He is the true wing man and side kick to his parents relationship. So freaking adorable.

The steamy sexy chase before the two MCs actually slept together was so haaaawt. Loved it so much better than the act itself. Idk why the author did not put any description in when writing the actual s*x scenes at all. Only along the line of they did it, her back ached. His waist was so good and he's still so energetic. But b4 they got to this point, the author wrote so damn good. The chase was definitely steamer and sexier.. That was regretful.

ML is a bad person turning good for her and MC is a good person turning bad because many event in her life but eventually love wins.

i like the fluffiness of this novel so sweet although some dark site to it but still I can't help re read it 3 times already.

i surely recommend this novel..

This is so sweet. Very very sweet. I loved how doting the ML was. I loved how cute the little dumpling was. I loved how slowly but surely, the MC fell in love with the ML. If you want to read something light and fluffy then this is the one. It really isn't that light tho with all the things the MC is dealing with but the story is mostly about the fluff so it' so sweet!!

Cute and enjoyable story if you can ignore the obvious plot holes.

MC loses her memory for the last 5 years of her life, and in that time a lot of things had happened. MC has a strong character, which I appreciated. Not so much when she kept her feelings hidden, but then again what else can a female character do in these sorts of novels besides stand there and blush and hope that the ML makes the first move?

Face slapping of MC's family was well done. ML is actually quite... more>> ruthless and avenges MC to my satisfaction. However, ML's mother.... was a face that remained unslapped to my dismay. She caused so much trouble, and just because the MC had amnesia and mended bridges with her does not make what she did go away. MC even apologies to her first when she remembers everything. What the hell?? Why?? The mother shouldn't have gotten away like she did.

The side stories for the side characters were meh. I actually didn't really like them that much. The one with the popular singer working under MC's studio was the worst. I didn't really feel like their feelings were genuine, and her devotion was forced and did not make sense. <<less

The title doesn't lie: this is really a sweet and cusdly novel. It isn't always logical, but it brings sooo many good feelings! And one of the pros: there's no misunderstandings between MC and ML throughout the whole novel (a rarity in itself).

It is also rather short, which means no dog-blood drama.

Really recommend it!
