One day, I was summoned to this world.

Beasts poured out, and an incredible crisis came.

My talents couldn’t have been worse.

[The player’s talent level is at rock bottom.] [Almost all the numbers are hopeless.]

Whether you have to become a warrior or a wizard.

Whether you’ve gone back in time.

You have to take advantage of everything in order to survive.

It was not a bad book, it really wasn't. MC was tr*sh but that's what made it funny. The problem I would say lies within the harem.

First... more>>
Spoiler

No character development from Jung Hayan, she's literally a s*upid dog b*tch. I'm not cursing her out, it's just how she f*cking acts. ISTG the author tries to make her smart by 'biding her time' with forced stat upgrades, but she never seems to break out of the mentality of a child. For people who get excited by the yandere tag, it gets old real fast. The Yandere part for those who really care is just Hayan getting extremely jealous and attacking other women like a mad dog, while acting like a puppy in front of MC. Her yanderism is supposedly cut down with the Cursed Temple Arc, but f*cking hell it gets annoying extremely fast.

[collapse]

Secondly,
Spoiler

Cha Hee Ra or smt like that. Like her development grows a bit, better than Hayan, but she's really just an easy cliche tool for the MC. After 'falling in love'- ??? WHY¿¿¿???, she proceeds to act subservient to the MC and never establishes a proper position

[collapse]

Overall a good book for a light read, but the character development is shit. No one develops whatsoever, not even

Spoiler

Park Shield Boi or whatever because that bastard, even after supposedly 'surpassing his limits', never seems to change

[collapse]
The MC is great, I get it. An anti-hero story like this is something entirely new and fresh to me, and I enjoyed the novel at first.
TLDR
Spoiler

harem members are tools, no dere in the yan whatsoever, I only got a real sense of Jung Hayan acting like a human (??) in the tutorial, her and the rest of the 'harem' are just f*cking dogs at this point. MC's tr*sh qualities make the story unique and interesting, but the s*upidity of his supposed rescues almost all soley rely on one or two FL's.

The MC is tr*sh, I get it. An anti-hero story like this is something entirely new and fresh to me, and I enjoyed the novel at first. It's hilarious how he manages to fool the continent over and over, but I just hate Jung Hayan's situation. Her abandonment issues are simply too much, to the point where she acts like a dog or s*ave. Really enjoy this novel, MC personality just to much of tr*sh that make me love him more

-The story is about guy that found someone who just regressed on time so he try to leach in to him. As the story progress MC become obsessive toward regressor even though he doesn't even need him anymore

-MC personality for the lack better word is "complex", MC personality is high tier tr*sh he is manipulative, ruthless, liar, two face, and little bit yandere toward regressor. Weirdly enough is even though MC personality total tr*sh... more>> he is really caring toward his subordinate (still manipulative toward them) he kinda person probably will sacrifice the world for them

Spoiler

in the first timeline MC goes as far destroy the world because his friend die protecting him.

[collapse]

honestly really enjoy MC thought about regressor from time to time (never been enjoy sub shounen ai moment except from this novel) <<less

Easily the best novel I’ve read so far.

The MC is a perfect bastard antihero, the women are all crazy and the plans are so absurdly elaborate.

This is actually a really good webnovel. When I started this, I wasn't expecting much, but I was completely blown away by the characters and story. In particular, if you like stories with a lot of schemes--where everything isn't solved through brute force--then this is a story that you should try reading. Do be warned though that it takes awhile before it picks up steam.

The novel has some nice moments and growth in certain places; yet the plot isn’t very good. At first you glance you would think there would be a lot of dungeons and fighting monsters, but actually more than half this novel with be political and mental manipulation. Reason being the MC isn’t combat orientated. However a lot of political manipulation stuff seems rather simplified as in everyone is seemingly a push over and the MC can just roll over them because he decide to use this strategy that has no... more>> flaws somehow. Aka none of his enemies are as smart as him, even though plenty of people with higher intelligence stat should exist.
Spoiler

Early on he decides to use the underdeveloped press to attack someone. They instantly get wrecked in a few chapters and their guild flops over for him. I mean I guess the guild’s reputation can be damage but really why wouldn’t they also go to the press to counter attack him? Also keep in mind the press was really weak and underdeveloped boom it took only 1 day to change that. And instead of crippling that targeted person’s combat ability why didn’t their guild just give an apology and give the MC some gold. Doesn’t made any sense. In addition guild member work for guilds on a contract, they aren’t s*aves, you can’t just cripple them, you would lose the trust of your other guild members.

[collapse]

Alright so on the intelligence stat point, the author does explain it that intelligence doesn’t just mean how smart you are, there are different types of intelligences and knowledge. But then we will meet characters that are clearly meant to be smart they are meant to be calculating yet they somehow still miss get easily rolled.

Spoiler

Later on we will meet the second princess that somehow manipulates the main character to do what she secretly wants. The way it’s written is contrive honestly. The princess have one very vague conversation and block your first plan and boom she manipulated you. Keep in mind one of the restriction given to him is he can’t completely ruin the second princess, otherwise he could have done much worse but she didn’t know that. In fact all his previously public enemies all meet bad endings. The princess somehow calculated that he would do this more dramatic approach instead of just secretly assassinating her or crippling her. It’s nonsensical.

[collapse]

In the end I can gloss over many of these mistakes really, they’re kinda of like bumps in the road they don’t ruin the story. As long as the story is enjoyable these bumps just makes you feel a little off balance that’s all. But then we have the anomaly of the genius wizard girl who is actually ruining the story. We also haven’t talked about the harem yet. So in this story girls are throwing themselves at the main character. Why?
Spoiler

It’s reveal maybe a couple hundred chapters in it’s actually his unique characteristic, that attracts strictly crazy girls.

[collapse]
It’s all really eye rolling but I digress. Yet first one, the genius wizard, she is basically crazy and creepy. It’s a constant struggle really for the MC to handling her mental tandems, and he does it quite dumbly too. She literally a bomb about to blow her fuse.

Spoiler

Surprise she eventually will blow up (stuff) quite literally. It’s infuriating, the MC should have her on a leash by now if he wants to control her as a puppet but nah he’s too busy. He literally has a mental stabilizing potion that he could probably just get her to drink every once in a while, but nope. He’s suppose to dominate her, yet he lets her literally spy on him, magically track his ass, prevents him from being close with other females, and r*pe him in his sleep. Yes literally she r*pes him, he doesn’t fix these issues, it’s been hundreds of chapters?! And I bet this still won’t be fixed even by chp 400.

[collapse]

Finally we have to talk about the regressor, our time traveling hero with a pointy stick. He’s a talented combatant, but we don’t really understand what the scenario for why he’s back in time. Presumably the world got f*cked. We get flashbacks here and there from his point of view as if the author is trying to be mysterious about it, it’s not that badly done, but it would be much nicer if we knew what the plan was. The story isn’t really revolve around saving the world, that’s become a subplot even.

Spoiler

What I really want to say is that the MC should just ducking ask the hero. Hey hero you trust me, I’m literally your number 2 in charge. I know you came from the future, what happened, what can we do to fix it. One of the main issues with dealing with the second princess was because the regressor didn’t explain anything. MC in his infinite wisdom didn’t even ask?? Wouldn’t it be so much easier if you just asked. The author for omniscient reader’s viewpoint at least address this plot hole.

[collapse]

Title doesn’t fit story by the way. <<less

This is how you do a proper evil MC. No edgy, psycho or evil just to be evil events transpire. The lead is a guy who can see other peoples stats. He meets the protagonist who went back in time and decided to be the ultimate leach and stick to him. Through out this whole story, the MC uses every single bit of wit and power to keep himself in a good position. Whether it is in the guild, politics or the church.

The MC isn't OP and will commit any... more>> crime in the book. However, he grows out of this phase and develops some actual feelings to others. Making him a real character with a flaw and not some generic evil person. I would go so far as to say he isn't good, but a necessary evil in this medieval world.

Where his actions are not only for his benefit but also to the ones around him. Turning him into a Dark Hero who supports everyone else. Doing things that no one else can and helping his friends see the truth of the world. A world that isn't all sunshine's and rainbows. Making them see his point of view while keeping their personalities mostly intact, but with a slight twist.

I would say this novel could be a masterpiece. However, a few tropes are overused. The MC sucks up too much to the protag, his best friend is a bit too s*upid and he got a yandere wife. Don't worry though, as each one of these people all develop additional flaws and become a more flawed individual. (Its actually ingenious)

And don't forget, the foreshadowing of the fic is amazing. I never seen something like this done. So when give this fic a chance, try to understand who our MC used to be in the original timeline. Plus, this is more based on the logistics than the actual adventure. So, intellectuals would enjoy this very much lol.

This novel could possibly become my absolute favorite novel of all time. It is like second coming of gluttony but with a much better MC and without the convenient plot armors. The MC has to be the best thing in this novel, it is refreshing to see an MC with just the right amount of advantages and only being an expert in one particular field unlike most other novels. There even enough parts of his character to have room for development and has the most reasonable to "Weak-to-Strong" process I've... more>> seen in novels. Wherein other novels the MC just take in a drug that miraculously boosts them up or make them train in such a ridiculous way, the MC here needs understanding, knowledge, assistance from others, financial support and hard work. It is no wonder this is an Award winning novel, the author clearly knows of criticisms and cliches in other novels that are like this. <<less

Fun read. Had a lot of 'He just did that!' moments. Always nice to read on some 'clever' MC's who don't have much moral quips and do whatever they need to. Bonus points for not having a s*upidly overpowered MC although there is still a lot of luck that comes into play at times.

The stereotypical korean hunter vs dungeon/tower/world/etc does not detract from the enjoyment of the novel and is done alright. So far this novel focuses more on schemes, politics, and relationships more than combat. The novel has similar... more>> vibes to series like Reverend Insanity, Dungeon Defense, SSS su*cide Hunter but is a bit more light-hearted and relaxed.

If you're looking for a novel to splurge on that doesn't take itself too seriously without making you cringe at edginess or s*upidity, consider taking a gander. <<less

This one my favourites novels.

The beginning is very generic, gets teleported to a new world with monsters, magic... teh usual. But there's a twist, and it's the awesome MC.

A little spoil about the MC and his abilities

Spoiler

"Mind Eye" it lets him see the status of other players, not impressive? It also lets him see their potential their nature etc... Which gives hi many possibilities on how to deal with people and who he interacts with.

That's also how he discover that one of the players is a reincarnator "Best boi hyunsung" and that another is a psycopath.

[collapse]

The MC is honestly one of the most intelligent one I ever saw in a novel and he's a total scumbag. He's not cold and unfeeling as you see him feeling guilt and sadness. He just does what needs to be done.

Spoiler

Afterall, he's weak and has one of the worst potentials so he's not only obliged to scheme his way out of everything but he also obliged to be well-surrounded.

[collapse]

Before adressing the rest of the chracters I'll be adressing the harem. Don't flee you harem-hater cause this one of the best harem novels. It doesn't fall into the generic clichés of the genre and MC that bastard Kiyoung is not a wimp and has one of the best characteristic
Spoiler

"Loved by dangerous women". So most of the women he attracts are psychos and/or dangerous

[collapse]

The harem members+my thoughts

Spoiler

-Jihyee his litteral soulmate, just as scummy as him and the meeting with her is one of my favourite parts early on.

pls step on me jihyee.

-Cha Hee-Ra the mercenary queen, lioness faithful to her instincts (her title) can't say more than that she's the boss of one of the top guilds and the MC offer himself to her to acquire her backing lmao and she just accepts because she found him interesting (+his characteristic)

-Hayan, he approached because she had a high potential but she got broken by one of the other players and turned into one of the scariest yandere I ever saw, it's cute to see him fall in love with her after he just approached her for benefits.

-Yuno

Spoiler

she knew him in his first life that she kept memories from

[collapse]

she's basically the m one of the harem, similarly to cha hee-ra she leads one of the top guilds.

-Dialugia, teh story of how they meet is so funny that I won't even mention it, just read it please.

-Hee-Young a crazy priest to whom he showed the way can't tell more about her.

[collapse]

the other characters are very likable Kimo the comedian, Deokgu the bestfriend... I won't add more it's better to discover them slowly.

There's so much more to say about this novel and my lack of creativity and ability with the english language isn't doing it any justice, please just read this. <<less

The novel has very interesting characters that turn the typical isekai into a comedic adventure. The main character is never going to be the strongest but he gathers the strongest party and controls the world from the shadows.

The only thing he can't control is his ever growing yandere harem.

Very entertaining novel. The main character handles majority of conflict with words and plotting over actions and is COMPLETELY shameless. It's very refreshing to read a novel like this and quite frankly the main character is incredibly well written, both with character progress and pre-determined traits being accurately followed even up to chapter 250. Side characters also get a surprising amount of character development, and you can actually see them changing as the story goes on and they interact with the MC.

I find entertaining reading stories about characters having their ways by using their brains instead of muscles. I also find pleasing stories about groups of people put into extreme situation where every move concerns the group's survival. If this is your cup of tea, you should give it a try.

MC of this story can be considered anti-hero and while he may or may not be to your liking, at least there are no braindead arrogant young masters to oppose him. While some of his opponents are actually pretty good at... more>> scheming, up to this chapter we still haven't seen anyone challenging to him in terms of mind games and crowd manipulation.

Now, for the things I'd like to see improved: the overall world setting seems to be way too bland. I can understand the main focus isn't there, but I feel for this kind of story the grand world building is a must. I want to see more scenery description, more political play, and I think the story will benefit from some side character POV story-telling greatly. I will leave it 5 starts but still hold an inch to lower it to 4 starts if it won't be expand. <<less

Absolutely one of the best korean fantasy novel. The plot is crazy good, so many plot twist and big brain moment. Solid translation. The MVP of this story are the relationship of the MC and the development of characters.

However, This novel have a bad start. The first arc is a mess of plot and too long. All the good plot and development start around ch 100+ after the MC n his group cleared the training dungeon.

The author writing style is simple but a bit hard to get used to. Sometimes it's hard to know who's talking.

I highly recommend this novel for everyone <<less

This is a pretty great novel, I personally love scheming protagonists as they are much better than those beta JP protags that are s*upid AF. So this novel was a breath of fresh air IMO. If you love scheming protagonists, 3-Dimensional Characters, and an interesting plot, then this novel is definitely for you. I assure you that you won't regret it.

Be warned though, the first 70 or so chapters are more-so just the prologue to the story, so if you find that the first few chapters aren't that great, I... more>> assure you that it gets much better the further you read.

I'm not great at these sorts of things so I'm gonna steal some formats.

A ton of people are transferred to a fantasy type world but the MC has really bad talent but an 'appraiser'/'stat checking' ability to see other people's stats. The confusing part at first is that the MC isn't the Regressor but just uses him because he sees that he had regressed using his ability to see others' stats. The MC is really smart and calculating and uses it to compensate for his lack of stats and talent.... more>> There's the Regressor, Yandere, and Idiot strong guy.

I usually like MC's smarter than me however I usually like them to be strong, however, he never seems to actually become very strong (at least where I'm at so if I'm wrong don't get too angry). I also never found it very fun to read, some schemes were fun but ultimately the general novel itself bored me, I just found myself waiting for schemes made by the MC while skimming the fighting scenes for something fun, but if you think this sounds cool then go for it, and have fun.

Edit: I wish I could change my review 4 stars but sadly no

I came back to this novel after a while and I started getting back into the story, It is quite fun, I guess. I said I guess because of the fact that I have this sort of feeling that I like it, it isn't an "I like it!", it's more like a, "Yeah, yeah okay... this is cool" <<less

It is really a surprise for me how can this piece of work is popular, even winning an award. Well the premise is nothing uncommon, but its familiar for the readers.

I don't really hate some antihero protagonists, but this one is really disgusted me in many ways. Better read Reverend Insanity rather than this hypocrite, toxic, manipulating MC. It has all the workings of a good novel with a clever protagonist. The protagonist is not imbalancedly sadistic nor is he foolishly good. He does whatever is advantageous to him. He does seem to get a bit block headed when the female love interest becomes yandere. Would recommend. As of the latest chapter (19) very happy.
