The older sister flees from her wedding to be with her lover, and her younger sister is forced to take her place in marrying a very powerful man.

As luck would have it, she ends up transmigrating into the body of that younger sister.

Although the man that she weds is very powerful, he’s the irredeemable final villain.

All villains are doomed to a bleak ending. And, as this villain’s wife, she’s afraid that her ending won’t be good either.

Fortunately, the older sister had gone back in time after having experienced a lifetime of suffering. This prodigal daughter returns to the turning point of her life. Pointing at her younger sister, she demands for her younger sister to hand over her husband.

Looking at this beautifully crying older sister, Ye Zhen swiftly yields and says, “Older sister, don’t worry. I haven’t even done anything with brother-in-law!”

To her shock, she later discovers that she’s pregnant.

With tears in her eyes, her older sister says, “Didn’t you say that nothing happened between the two of you?”

Ye Zhen looks at the great villain that doggedly pursues her. She is utterly and totally doomed.

There’s a great villain lying next to her, and she’s pregnant with a mini villain. How’s she suppose to survive?!

Later on, as Ye Zhen watches the great villain putting the baby down and changing the diaper, she sighs. “There’s nothing that can be done. I’ve already missed the golden opportunity to turn things around. How can I leave now?”

Let me just say, those who gave a 1 star rating has judged this novel harshly without reading the facts first. He did not r*pe her, on the contrary, she was the one who slept with him while drunk. He did instruct his doctor for the butler to give her some sleeping pills but it's because she massage him and takes care of him all day and she has trouble sleeping at night even though she's already tired. He only slept with her once while he was pretending to be... more>> on a coma, and that was that time she was drunk, at another time, he gave her a hickey while she was sleeping because she slapped him. I think he fell in love with her while he was pretending to be on a coma.

She was the one taking care of him when he was on a coma. He was pretending because he woke up and he was paralyzed below, and she learned from the therapists so she massages him all day, and always talks to him. Like he said, everyone has their own selfish agenda when he was sleeping, except for her. She genuinely believes he's going to wake up (well, because she read the book), so while he's sleeping, she tells him, don't do anything illegal, be nice to your wife, keep your kid on the right path, etc so he won't end up like he did in the novel. And she told him she's leaving so he woke up earlier than he would have.

It was a really fun read. She influenced this villain to be upright, which made the original story veered off it's original ending. At the same time, the leads of the novel did not really pursue taking down the villain, maybe because he has changed or they were influenced by the MC and Zhou zhou (the villain child who was supposed to become evil).

Her family is horrible but she has a very good mother in law who treats her like a real daughter. The grandfather also loves her and her husband dotes on her. While her family treats her as an inferior, her husband's family cherishes her.

The FL in the novel, Ye Qing (which is Ye Zhen-FL's twin) is a reincarnator. So some readers really gets confused because she reincarnated from the alternate ending where YZ and LB lived happily with their son while YQ and LZ (the novel's ML) became ordinary workers. She saw them one day, happy, and saw how LB love and dotes on his wife and this caused her to be jealous, thus she broke up with the ML and tried to switch places with her sister when she reincarnated, but it's unfortunate because LB and mother-in-law can tell them apart. Also, this is one of the most small-minded reincarnator, ever. You already know some of the thing that will happen in the future, but you only tried to steal your sister's position and tried to compete with her. She could have hugged her sister's thigh instead. Her being a reincarnator means nothing aside from giving her some knowledge that LB will be a doting husband, and that's the plot device for her to scheme.

LB is a virtuous villain.

He obviously loves his wife so much, they sleep together in bed every night but he is in abstinence for 2 years because he wants her to be willing when they do it. He's not the dominant type and he respects her. Also, no unnecessary misunderstanding in the story. It's not that they don't care about each other, but they trust each other. He never questions her and he knows she's only doing or giving him advice unselfishly

I wanna say a lot but I feel like I'll be spoiling the story too much. I've read a lot of this author's novels, and I'd say this is one of my favorite. I just wish there's some side-story with their children or they showed what happened to YQ and her mom. <<less

Overall, it's a pretty fun story to binge-read (with the assistance of mtl in the later part of it). In my opinion though, I think some side characters have some potential with their stories.

Like actress Meng Jie's or even uncle Lu Shaoyang's🤣

dubious consent.... actually would consider it more like r*pe since MC does not know who is doing things to her at first, is completely asleep and repeatedly denies the actions of the person who is touching her. the people saying this is better than some transmigration stories must be delusional if they think this is okay.

he deceived her for months and allowed her to be creeped on, slandered, and treated poorly by everyone in his household. for no reason at all except to perv on her while she is asleep and impregnate her without her consent or knowledge. he obviously didn't value her safety or well being if he allowed her to be misunderstood by the workers, felt up and almost attacked by a nasty half brother, and slandered as some loose woman when he knows she's been taking care of him this whole time.

i really don't recommend this. there is a fine line between dubious consent and r**e, and this is definitely crossing it, since the MC does not even have the option to give consent much less give a vague answer.

i've never heard something creepier than a man tricking his entire family and wife, shirking his responsibilities etc to have sneaky snu snu with a person who does not even get the option of saying no. all while pretending to be asleep while the wife clearly is unhappy and hated. n0 no no.

Leaving a rating, so I can address the dubious consent. The author doesn’t make it too clear and I think the other reviewers got the wrong idea.

The Female Lead took the intitiative while she was drunk, around the time she entered the family. She thought it was a ‘dream’. The ML had sleeping pills given to her to keep her from waking up and noticing that he is faking his coma, but not the night she drank. She gets actual dreams about that first night, but they don’t do anything considering that she is knocked out. The pregnancy was a one-shot ace in the hole.

The consent may be dubious, but that’s because she was drunk and he was ‘in a coma’. I think it’s confusing to the readers because the MC herself can’t distinguish the real time from when she is just dreaming. Additionally, the real time might have been before the start of the novel since it’s mainly alluded to in future text where the doc and Male lead joke about her forcing herself on the ML.

On the other hand, I can’t see any cute fluff yet. I expect that is happening further in the novel once the characters have clarified their feelings. ^_^

The MC and ML only sleep together once, while she is drunk. Everything the readers see is her fantasies. The dreams are her remembering that first night that she thought was also only a dream. The Male lead does not take advantage of her while she is taking the sleeping pills, other than maybe a PG cuddle or a light kiss.

So, the story started with the MC being transmigrated to a novel that she had completely done reading, so she knew what would happen to everyone in this story.

She was transmigrated to the body of a twin that had to marry a 'so-called' comatose villain on behalf of her twin sister, the one who should marry the villain in the first place. Despite that, she treated her husband with enough kindness, patient and gave good advices that ... more>>

the villain fell in love with her. Yes, the vilain fell in love first with the MC.

But the villain tricked her though. He already woke up from his coma before she married into the family. So, whatever she said or did, the villain knew about it. And the MC always slept in sexy pajama when she thought he was 'comatose'.

When the reborn twin sister of the MC wanted to change place (again) with the MC, the villain knew, since the MC already confessed and he knew how his real wife acts.

Though, I really hate the MC's maiden family.

They treated her like thing that could be sold. They spoiled the spoil twin, and made the MC, the good twin, to exchange places with her sister to marry the villain, so that they could use the villain's money to revive their company.

They even sold the right as parents to the MC just for 30mil yuan. When MC's father lost the money in gambling, he without shame requested help in term of money to repay his debt with loan sharks from the twin that he just sold for 30mil yuan. WTH!

Even the mother kept telling the MC that she had stole the favourite twin position as Mrs Lu (the villain family surname is Lu) and its privileges.

Even the favourite twin thought the same thing.

What is wrong with this family?

End of rant.

If you like fluffy novel with happy ending, not much angst, you should try reading this. Trust me, the MC

is not Marry Sue. She just used her knowledge of the plot to be her husband supports rather than being the actual ML's supports which make me love her. She's not perfect, but kind. That's why I and the villain like her so much.

You will like her. <<less

It feels like all the 5 stars reviewers were reading a completely different story. Light and fluffy?! ML respects MC?! I'm guessing they might refer to later parts of the story but I can't possibly read anymore. This goes WAY beyond dubious consent, how is that respect????

Let's ignore the things she's forced to do to take care of the ML, or the fact that she's given drugs/medicine to put her to sleep without her consent 'for her own good' and she's fine with that when she finds out, or the fact she ignores all the sign that would indicate she's having relations during the night time, or how she ignores his obvious questions that mean he knows what's going on ('hopefully it's soundproof room', really?!), the fact is that regardless of why there was no 'Yes' given in any form at any time.

The MC has absolutely NO body autonomy, when it comes to keeping her in the dark about her health, or when it comes to bedroom activities. Or even as to her duties to him while he's in a coma. Nobody asks her or informs her of anything.

The part where ML says that pregnancy requires the participation of them both just made it worse.

The fact so many people are ignoring this is very sad to me.

Read only if you enjoy a story about a mature woman who completely ignores and disregards the horrible things done to her for the author's convenience. <<less

I'm so sad that people misunderstood this novel. Try to read Nom de Plume and Kikiwiis review, it's pretty accurate.

The ML is actually a very respectful person

He waits for 2 years before consummating the marriage because he wants her to like and accept him first.

He often enduring with cold shower in the middle of the night too ?????

Little ZhouZhou is so cute. He often misunderstood his father though. And unlike what MC thinks he's pretty normal.

The story is pretty light, no heavy misunderstanding between MC and ML, they talk things through. A couple that have good communication for once.

The romance is so slow, that's the only bad part of this novel for me.

All in all a very enjoyable read.

Give this novel a chance, you won't regret it... <<less

So let me just clear things up for new readers who's discouraged to read this due to the "rape" accusations- THERE'S NO r*pe!!!

Let me just repeat it again so that yall can understand. THERE. IS. NO. R*pe.

I think the previous reviewers just didn't read far enough to actually understand whats going on but just remember that the MC is an unreliable narrator.

This is truly a gem of Chinese light novels and one of the well written ones. It has the typical Chinese dog blooded drama but this one is miles... more>> better and well executed compared to the others.

Really love this one 5/5 stars for me. <<less

Feels bad that there’s so many 1 star review when those people were only a few chapters in. It’s just a very fluffy and cute novel. The ML is actually very caring. I was actually at fist discouraged by the reviews saying that she was taken advantaged of. Good thing I gave it a shot.

And despite what is tried to sound like in the first few chapters (the part where it was a bit ambiguous whether they had s*x when she was sleeping), it was cleared up in the end... more>> that she was the come who came on to him when she was drunk. And that was the only time they had sex. The rest of the time, the guy would just kiss her. She was very tired when she wakes up because she massages him every day.

All in all, please don’t be too harsh on this novel. It just a very simple fluff, I hope you give it a try. <<less

I can't imagine why other reviewers would say that it is light and fluffy. Unless you are that innocent and naive or even ignorant if you're an adult. The MC was literally r*ped multiple times and even gotten pregnant without consent. I can't be bothered reading any further because I feel so violated for the MC when I read this book. Though the author did not explicitly stated that she was r*ped, it was described rather obviously.

At least there was a r*pe tag. I honestly didn't notice it from the... more>> large paragraph of tags till I was writing this review. I hope this review, like a few others will alert other readers. But of course, base on the few chapters that I've read and the reviews by others, I would say it is actually pretty good book if you're into or accepting of r*pe <<less

WARNING : dubious consent

it's been hinted early on that the dreams she's had about snu snu with ML was real. She was asleep because

she's been constantly getting nightmares and she's exhausted from taking care/massaging ML so ML asked doctor (not sure if it's the ML or the doc having initiative) to put sleeping pills. Idk why ML had s*x with MC. The only reason author provide it's that they're doing couple duties and according to her it's not raep since MC didn't refuse even if in "dream"

MC is a mary sue and ML is a scum blackbellied doting husband.

Mc's entire family esp her sis is scum and second male lead is pitiful tbh. The reason for misunderstanding is weak (like, they have extremely alike face so Mc's sis can always take credit for good things mc's original soul did)

It's quite satisfying in term of face slapping because the scummy antagonist. (The ML might not be to your liking tho)

It's a good novel to pass time imho, like every other 4520chps qidian novel but more compact and straight to the point.

If you like those kinds of dog blood drama novels with strong halo protagonist, black belly doting yandere husband, scummy everyone and misunderstandings, this one is for you.

mc's sis is a reincarnator while MC is a transmigrator but MC's sis reincarnated from a bad timeline when she's not successful (or she reincarnated from halfway) while MC trasmigrated after fully reading the novel so she knew more, but it derailed cuz mc's sis act

MC sis reincarnated from when second ML was still poor. Second ML is actually the illegitimate bro of ML and MC's sis took credits for good things MC did for 2nd ML, they eloped and MC need to switch. In 1st life mcsis saw MC was happy and rich not knowing ML loved her and 2nd MC will be rich later on. So after reincarnation she dumped 2nd ML and chased ml

I have mixed feelings about this novel, I guess it could be enjoyable if you pretend the first 30 chapters where there are r*pe scenes never happened, but I am not at all comfortable with the ML’s actions and excuses as he never thinks or doubts he did something wrong. I don’t know Chinese laws about r*pe, but in ethical countries, s*x without explicit consent is r*pe also in cases between husband and wife, in addition this novel has a modern setting so it should follow modern morals.
As result,... more>> she even gets pregnant and can’t leave the ML, if I were her, I would have thought about having an abortion. An unwanted pregnancy is not a stroll in the park contrarily to how authors usually describe it. As it is, I drop it, I prefer reading novels where romance blooms between two consensual people and not because one persone is drugged, gets pregnant and then is forced to live with the unrepentant rapist. I don't care if later he starts doting on her, the premise of the novel is horrible when there are several other novels about forced marriage scenario with morally acceptable beginnings. <<less

Hmmm...I am shocked.... it is already 2020 and there are still review on the r*pe. There is no r*pe here. Stop making ot look like there is because now it just seems like you really want it to be in the novel.

*edit* look to anyone of you who thinks I have a skewed conception of what r*pe is. Excuse me but I value rights and equality. I was once mol*sted when I was young so I know share a small fraction of pain to those who undergo abuse and... more>> r*pe.

I failed to include the section where they confront each other about what happened and that I will explain in later spoilers. I apologized for that since some took that section to label me as someone who is so ignorant about r*pe and is so twisted with how I conceptualised it.

I never said that because of them r*pe each other, it means that there is no r*pe. I am speaking of how I analyzed the text and that the r*pe everyone is raving about might not be there and just the author writing it to create suspense and ruined the initial progression of the plot.

Because obviously, he was awake but William has explained that he was still partially paralysed and can't walk properly yet and thus had to exercised alone gradually for him to recuperate. It is faulty writing and faulty way of building suspense in the pregnancy and his comatose. It also goes against his characters with what he says. And that is why I only believe their real encounter is when was drunk and conceived then.

his wife took care of him and gets extremely tired. He gave her some medication mixed with milk to sleep well. On the night that she conceives, she drank and r*ped him not the over way around. He was still a patient at that time. He woke up half-paralyzed. Have you people not read this part like I did?

"Look at yourself, you're still half-paralyzed. Even if you wake up, what can you do? But, your dad is different. Half of a month will be enough time for your dad to monopolize the company."

After speaking to this point, William's couldn't control his anger; it went bubbling up. "This is unintentionally alerting the enemy! The past half year's arrangements are going to be wasted!"

"William, first of all, pregnancy requires the husband and wife to act in concert with each other. Second, I only told you to give her sleeping medicine so that she could sleep well at night. Other than the first time when she came onto me after she got drunk, I haven't touched her. How can you say I'm a bastard?"

Red marks-probablyfrom allergies.

So many people clarified in 2019.... but we still see the same reviews posted in 2020. Our current world have problems with assault and r*pe, with victims not receiving justice. Therefore, we give the highest degree to victims. I most of the time trust victims. But I do understand that not all reported circumstances are always true. That some men fall victims to false report, revenge, misunderstanding. And that some are r*ped too!!

It is dubious but based on the context and what is said and his characters

literally waiting years after waking from coma to consummate marriage with her and waiting for her to love him fully

Also, he shown himself to be a gentleman in the mtl of chapter 94 when they both decided to sleep together a bout two years after they had Little Porridge. He waited. He wasn't overbearing forcing his feelings and himself on her and want to gradually have her accept him. It think it is the author's fault in a way since they were being ambiguous to bring the readers to a discussion and make us infer things (i used to write stories too...I know)

*When she was finally pregnant with their twins after they like each other, he asked her if she wanted an abortion because he doesnt want her to suffer through the pregnancy. The man legit teared up when she agreed to give birth to them. Where do you find a decent short Chinese novel like this. Despite the ambiguity the author wrote initially, if we give him the benefit of doubt and trust that the child was conceived when she climbed on his bed whilst his leg cant move properly, then it should be fine. He seems respectable and trust his partner and willing for her to work and pursue her dreams without having her live under his shadow indefinitely.

We can assume that this baby was conceived when she was drunk and went on the bed of q recovering patient who could not yet walk (or walk properly)

My apologies. I will also include this section in as I overlooked this.

At that moment, the anger over being deceived and embarrassed rushed to the forefront and drowned out her rational side. "So you and William have been secretly working together? You had William give those drugs to the butler to put into my milk? You drugged me!"

Seeing that she was too stirred up, Lu Beichuan lowly said, "I did it for your own good. You had insomnia at night, and you worked so hard during the day. Your body wouldn't be able to stand continued sleepless nights."

"That doesn't mean you can..." Ye Zhen couldn't say out the rest of the sentence.

"We're husband and wife. What's wrong with fulfilling the obligations that's between a husband and wife? Besides, you came onto me to the first time."

"I... I came onto you?"

"Don't tell me that you forgot because you were drunk."

Ye Zhen choked. She was speechless.

On the first night that she transmigrated here, she had drunk her troubles away. In that intoxicated state, it was true... it seemed...

"I... I thought..."

"Are you going to say that you thought you were dreaming as an excuse?"

I have to say that the author did not word this correctly because it does not match with his character at all. He explained that he slept with her once the time she was drunk. So according to his stereotypical character it would mean just that in the novel. There is no reason for him to lie and if we place him along other overbearing male leads they would respond to William with "Hmmph" as a sort of acknowledgement they did it and not ashamed of their actions because they are overbearing.

With regards to talks of duties and obligations:

Furthermore, the faulty writing could be used to also explain how he might be saying that he did not mind the sexual encounter when she had come on to him who was still paralysed because he accepts that it was something that would have happened if they were married before he was in a coma.

Her dreams-waist-legs:

I know some of you will roll your eyes when I say this but honestly, it can be how tired she is serving him and helping massage his paralysed leg. This is how I chose to interpret this. And that the drug was to help her sleep and she keeps recalling the night with him. Shcih I still find so faulty and unnecessary with all of the events that is going on in the story, it can't explain their s*x which was highly satisfactory for the FML. (It doesn't make sense)

Not the first time so indeed he r*ped her?:

It goes against his characters and I felt it is the faulty writing of the author with the initial chapters of this stories. It goes against how medically his leg was still partially paralysed. Againsy his characterisation as someone quite respectful to his wife in later chapters. And of his statement of him having only one sexual encounter.

"You were the one who came onto me first too" //if it were to be written like this

And this case it would mean in my opinion, she came onto him drunk and he was still paralysed and initiated it with him. And they had s*x with him knowingly agreeing to it.

(Which is still dubious by the way---but circumstantially unavoidable)

But it still means that it was partially both at fault and does goes well with the characters and progression and what was stated in the stories. I used to write story as an amateur and you f*cked on the first chapters too because literally when you get a revelation you don't really put effort into the origin only the conflicts and climax. I made mistakes like this too but this... this ruined his character intentionally because overall he doesnt show himself as this overbearing character. Just someone who tries hard to bring in a warm family with this girl he falls for.

I leave it up to your judgements. But I believe this story is good if you can ignore those rookies mistakes part. The ML is good. You judge him too early with so tiny plotholes that could be interpreted so many ways.

It is either you feel the need to make r*pe in here or you don't. It really is up to you because I put up everything here for your own judgements.

I say just ignore those chapters if you cant bring yourself to trust the characterisation of his character which they were going for. Obviously they were trying to make a respectful ML but somehow frick up along the way. Because the progression later on is quite nice and very unique. Even some villains you can't bring yourself to hate because it is justified except the Ye's. So complete this and let those plotfholes initially slide. It doesn't really matter only to have her pregnant and have her not leave him. <<less

First time doing a review cuz I just feel bad about those poorly made reviews. There is no r*pe. ML rly loves her from the start and their run and catch game is rly cute and refreshing. MC doesnt care about schemings and revenge, she just cares about running away but fail to do so lmao. Its a great reading, been a while since i've been looking for it as i've read the first few chapters a long time ago.

So the r*pe thingy, at the time the ML was faking being in a coma, the MC got drunk and "attacked" him, thus ending up pregnant. She thought it was a dream so latter she kept saying that it was impossible to be preg cuz she is virgin, well she wasnt anymore. Plus the ML at some point tells the doc that he never did the deed with her besides that one time she took the lead~ soooo the one who r*ped who, between a person in a "coma" and a drunk and horny young woman with a perfect and "weak" prey right in front of her...

There is also the thing with the milk, they talked about it many times that it was good for the body and all, the ML also explained that the MC had problems sleeping and thats why he got her to drink the "medicine" the MC also says that she wakes up refreshed after drinking it... she just took medicine for a better sleep and no one was r*ped at those times lol he prob ate some tofu but again besides that one time, no deed was done lel

Anyway dont let those fake views stop u from reading this gem, its a rly good novel~~ <<less

Read the original to the end due to impatience and overall it's just pure fluff, your typical "transmigrator knows the future and uses to advantage" sort of thing. This story isn't anything special, or new but it scratches that fluff itch perfectly.

Characterization is ok, there's very little character growth though besides MC falling for ML so what you see is what you get honestly. The plot isn't too bad, but her sister (rebirther) flees original ML because MC has better life but it's completely different from what MC (transmigrator) read in the novel before she crossed over. MC thinks her life is going to be tragedy by villain's side (as per novel) while sister is desperate to take her sister's place as beloved CEO's wife (as per her first life). Since these two are at odds, it gets really confusing as to which is true. Original ML from novel also disappears very quickly and the plot to get rid of him is very convoluted ("so it was actually my sister who did all that stuff for you!!!"), author added too many characters and just didn't know what to do with them.

And to reiterate the burning question in this story, is there r*pe? Nope, spoilers for that whole situation underneath.

Her dreams are literally just dreams, original MC came onto ML once while they were drinking together before the story and they did it once, that's why she has such vivid memories/dreams. The whole thing was a drunk one night stand is only mentioned once or twice before getting glossed over. ML stays pretending because his dad wants to kill him and he had to heal from injuries from a car crash, and originally he had no feelings for MC. It's not until after she takes care of him that he falls in love.

that said, the ending is very quick and VERY anticlimactic, it ended so quickly my only thought was "that's it?!". It didn't end in a terrible spot, just could have done with an epilogue because it wrapped up in like 3 sentences.

A decent story to read. ML respected MC and does not go over the boundary unless MC allows him. Quite heartwarming in some certain chapters.

My only unhappiness about this novel is the chapters translated too short as compare to the novel raws. One chapter of the raw is being broken up to almost 4 parts.

Well, First please try not to read other comments, no r*pe happened in the book.

MTL, author themselves said both characters had relations when one was drunk and other was newly woken up. It was before the transmigration. This would classify as dubious content but not really r*pe.

Otherwise the hickey part... It is the only highly questionable part of the book if it helps, furthermore child is not born out of a r*pe.

My qualms about this is the translation group splitting the chapters and not labelling it correctly as they should. Is this type of translation common now?

Everything's perfect for me except the ML. Dropped because of it.

FL always have a steamy dream that she's having s*x with somebody and obviously it's not a spring dream but ML raping her.

It always happen every night and FL would wake up with her body all sore. Result is FL got pregnant.

Well, that's not new in most CN romance but what did the fckng man said to his doctor!!??? That FL is his wife and he have the right to do so! So fcking disgusting!

So there is no r*pe. Well, it turns out that MC was the one who attacked ML when she was drunk. Anyways, I still wouldn't highly recommend this since I didn't like the plot of the whole pregnant thing. I mean... seriously. The best the author could do was to make reader's misunderstand that MC was getting r*pe the entire time and then reveal that it was MC who r*ped ML and that was how the child was made. That to me just turns me off. It's not a matter... more>> of who r*ped who nor even a matter of r*pe, I just don't highly recommend this novel because of the s*upid plot that the child happened out of drunkness. I read a story cause I want to read something I enjoy and I certainly don't enjoy this story with the premise of drunkness leads to r*pe leads to pregnant leads to having a child leads to love. Why not find another way to write the story of having a child without the weird r*pey vibe and misunderstanding to it.

Also to people who say it is not r*pe, prehaps... but I find it that since both parties were not able to fully give their consent then it is still wrong. Wrong of the author to feel the need to include this into the story. I mean, is this really all the author could write about in this situation. Did the author really have to resort to this type of r*pey situation to make their story interesting? The answer is no. Writing is hard and I appreciate authors but it doesn't take away that just because it is hard, authors should and can include r*pey situations into romantic stories. What are we teaching readers, r*pey situations is romantic when it turns out that the whole situation was a misunderstanding and that true love will happen in the end because of it...

Overall this situation is basically a drunk girl climbing onto the bed of a paralyzed man and having s*x with him. We find out that although the man was unable to do anything back, he wasn't totally angry that it happened. Rather he just dismiss it. While the girl wakes up thinking everything was a dream and NO ONE ever tells her anything UNTIL SHE FINDS OUT SHE IS PREGNANT!!!

Happy story anyone? Any takers to be the girl in this story at this moment? Probably not. Even if the girl will eventually love her child and husband later and everything, at that moment she found out she was pregnant when she thought she was a virgin, she must have been so scared at the thought of how she got pregnant and with who? If she is a new virgin Mary or if someone r*ped her (even though she was the one who attacked others). As such, people please stop down playing the whole r*pey situation thing. (Also I have stated that some may not see it as r*pe but I don't really have a better word to describe the bizarre situation that r*pey situation, please forgive me).

Also I'm surprise by the face that people keep saying that it is just how the author wrote it and that the ML is a good man. I mean he is, but does it really take away from the whole weird situation the story was set in? I mean he literally said to the doctor when she found out she was pregnant

"We're husband and wife. What's wrong with fulfilling the obligations that's between a husband and wife? Besides, you came onto me to the first time."

So a husband or wife can't r*pe their spouse since it is part of their obligations to each other? Hmm... either this is new knowledge to me or people are just skipping past this part in what the male lead said. <<less

much better than what I expected. FL was someone who can think for herself without letting feelings clouded her judgement. That's already speak volume, since such FL in cn manhuas is a rare appearance. ML was also not bad. Yes, he's cold but he's also loyal and obediently listens to the fl's words. Both FL and ML respect each other. The romance was also quite good. It's not slow nor rushed. I see a lot of people dropped this manhua because they thought ML r*ped FL when they were sleeping... more>> together. Well, hate to break it to you, but technically, the one who did the 'rape' was FL to ml, when he was still paralyzed and the FL was drunk. Tbh, I don't even think it was r*pe, because ML was aware of what was happening at that time. He just didn't have the capability to refuse her because he was paralyzed, so he let it happen.

3.5 out of 5. Give it a try. It's not that bad. <<less

I read the raws and the translated version and it’s actually pretty good. MC is not a Mary Sue. She actually has flaws. She’s a hedonist and doesn’t want to be bullied unlike those pathetic Mary Sue martyrs often prevalent in Chinese Novels. She knows what she wants and she would never want to be abused. She is actually level headed.

Let me remind everyone that r*pe occurs when one party does not consent. When MC was drunk she made a move On the ML but the ML was merely pretending... more>> to be in a coma but he was definitely conscious at that time. If he did not want it, he would have rejected MC right then and there easily because she was drunk and he could have easily overpowered her. But he did allowed it. And if you really read the whole book like some of us. Despite that fact that he was conscious at that time, she still took responsibility to it anyway.

And even when ML slept with MC and MC thought it was a dream she never rejected the ML. She would have kicked and screamed saying it was a nightmare but she didn’t, she also consented to the acts of the ML. After they confessed, the ML also took responsibility of his actions too. Both of them did. So both of them consented to their marital relationship. And they were happy.

Stop judging their decisions when both were human and took responsibility over their actions anyway. Some of you get offended way too easily when there are other tr*sh stories worst around. There are some novels so unrealistic with their fluff and perfect stories that makes me puke.

I really suggest reading the whole book by the raw and not just the translated version because the English translation is not yet completed. It’s really a good book. Short but sweet because there are no misunderstandings between the couple. Both loved each other and supported each other despite their own enemies.

One of the best pragmatic stories that I can recommend. <<less
