The older sister flees from her wedding to be with her lover, and her younger sister is forced to take her place in marrying a very powerful man.

As luck would have it, she ends up transmigrating into the body of that younger sister.

Although the man that she weds is very powerful, he’s the irredeemable final villain.

All villains are doomed to a bleak ending. And, as this villain’s wife, she’s afraid that her ending won’t be good either.

Fortunately, the older sister had gone back in time after having experienced a lifetime of suffering. This prodigal daughter returns to the turning point of her life. Pointing at her younger sister, she demands for her younger sister to hand over her husband.

Looking at this beautifully crying older sister, Ye Zhen swiftly yields and says, “Older sister, don’t worry. I haven’t even done anything with brother-in-law!”

To her shock, she later discovers that she’s pregnant.

With tears in her eyes, her older sister says, “Didn’t you say that nothing happened between the two of you?”

Ye Zhen looks at the great villain that doggedly pursues her. She is utterly and totally doomed.

There’s a great villain lying next to her, and she’s pregnant with a mini villain. How’s she suppose to survive?!

Later on, as Ye Zhen watches the great villain putting the baby down and changing the diaper, she sighs. “There’s nothing that can be done. I’ve already missed the golden opportunity to turn things around. How can I leave now?”

dubious consent.... actually would consider it more like r*pe since MC does not know who is doing things to her at first, is completely asleep and repeatedly denies the actions of the person who is touching her. the people saying this is better than some transmigration stories must be delusional if they think this is okay.

Spoiler

he deceived her for months and allowed her to be creeped on, slandered, and treated poorly by everyone in his household. for no reason at all except to perv on her while she is asleep and imp**gnate her without her consent or knowledge. he obviously didn't value her safety or well being if he allowed her to be misunderstood by the workers, felt up and almost attacked by a nasty half brother, and slandered as some loose woman when he knows she's been taking care of him this whole time.

[collapse]

i really don't recommend this. there is a fine line between dubious consent and r**e, and this is definitely crossing it, since the MC does not even have the option to give consent much less give a vague answer.

Spoiler

i've never heard something creepier than a man tricking his entire family and wife, shirking his responsibilities etc to have sneaky snu snu with a person who does not even get the option of saying no. all while pretending to be asleep while the wife clearly is unhappy and hated. n0 no no.

Leaving a rating, so I can address the dubious consent. The author doesn’t make it too clear and I think the other reviewers got the wrong idea.

Spoiler

The Female Lead took the intitiative while she was drunk, around the time she entered the family. She thought it was a ‘dream’. The ML had sleeping pills given to her to keep her from waking up and noticing that he is faking his coma, but not the night she drank. She gets actual dreams about that first night, but they don’t do anything considering that she is knocked out. The pregnancy was a one-shot ace in the hole.

The consent may be dubious, but that’s because she was drunk and he was ‘in a coma’. I think it’s confusing to the readers because the MC herself can’t distinguish the real time from when she is just dreaming. Additionally, the real time might have been before the start of the novel since it’s mainly alluded to in future text where the doc and Male lead joke about her forcing herself on the ML.

[collapse]

On the other hand, I can’t see any cute fluff yet. I expect that is happening further in the novel once the characters have clarified their feelings. ^_^

tl;dr

Spoiler

The MC and ML only sleep together once, while she is drunk. Everything the readers see is her fantasies. The dreams are her remembering that first night that she thought was also only a dream. The Male lead does not take advantage of her while she is taking the sleeping pills, other than maybe a PG cuddle or a light kiss.

So, the story started with the MC being transmigrated to a novel that she had completely done reading, so she knew what would happen to everyone in this story.

She was transmigrated to the body of a twin that had to marry a 'so-called' comatose villain on behalf of her twin sister, the one who should marry the villain in the first place. Despite that, she treated her husband with enough kindness, patient and gave good advices that ... more>>
Spoiler

the villain fell in love with her. Yes, the vilain fell in love first with the MC.

But the villain tricked her though. He already woke up from his coma before she married into the family. So, whatever she said or did, the villain knew about it. And the MC always slept in sexy pajama when she thought he was 'comatose'.

When the reborn twin sister of the MC wanted to change place (again) with the MC, the villain knew, since the MC already confessed and he knew how his real wife acts.

[collapse]

Though, I really hate the MC's maiden family.
Spoiler

They treated her like thing that could be sold. They spoiled the spoil twin, and made the MC, the good twin, to exchange places with her sister to marry the villain, so that they could use the villain's money to revive their company.

They even sold the right as parents to the MC just for 30mil yuan. When MC's father lost the money in gambling, he without shame requested help in term of money to repay his debt with loan sharks from the twin that he just sold for 30mil yuan. WTH!

Even the mother kept telling the MC that she had stole the favourite twin position as Mrs Lu (the villain family surname is Lu) and its privileges.

Even the favourite twin thought the same thing.

What is wrong with this family?

[collapse]

End of rant.

If you like fluffy novel with happy ending, not much angst, you should try reading this. Trust me, the MC
Spoiler

is not Marry Sue. She just used her knowledge of the plot to be her husband supports rather than being the actual ML's supports which make me love her. She's not perfect, but kind. That's why I and the villain like her so much.

It feels like all the 5 stars reviewers were reading a completely different story. Light and fluffy?! ML respects MC?! I'm guessing they might refer to later parts of the story but I can't possibly read anymore. This goes WAY beyond dubious consent, how is that respect????

Spoiler

Let's ignore the things she's forced to do to take care of the ML, or the fact that she's given drugs/medicine to put her to sleep without her consent 'for her own good' and she's fine with that when she finds out, or the fact she ignores all the sign that would indicate she's having relations during the night time, or how she ignores his obvious questions that mean he knows what's going on ('hopefully it's soundproof room', really?!), the fact is that regardless of why there was no 'Yes' given in any form at any time.

[collapse]

The MC has absolutely NO body autonomy, when it comes to keeping her in the dark about her health, or when it comes to bedroom activities. Or even as to her duties to him while he's in a coma. Nobody asks her or informs her of anything.
Spoiler

The part where ML says that pregnancy requires the participation of them both just made it worse.

[collapse]

The fact so many people are ignoring this is very sad to me.

Read only if you enjoy a story about a mature woman who completely ignores and disregards the horrible things done to her for the author's convenience. <<less

He waits for 2 years before consummating the marriage because he wants her to like and accept him first.

He often enduring with cold shower in the middle of the night too ?????

Little ZhouZhou is so cute. He often misunderstood his father though. And unlike what MC thinks he's pretty normal.

The story is pretty light, no heavy misunderstanding between MC and ML, they talk things through. A couple that have good communication for once.

The romance is so slow, that's the only bad part of this novel for me.

All in all a very enjoyable read.

Give this novel a chance, you won't regret it... <<less

Feels bad that there’s so many 1 star review when those people were only a few chapters in. It’s just a very fluffy and cute novel. The ML is actually very caring. I was actually at fist discouraged by the reviews saying that she was taken advantaged of. Good thing I gave it a shot.

And despite what is tried to sound like in the first few chapters (the part where it was a bit ambiguous whether they had s*x when she was sleeping), it was cleared up in the end... more>> that she was the come who came on to him when she was drunk. And that was the only time they had s*x. The rest of the time, the guy would just kiss her. She was very tired when she wakes up because she massages him every day.

All in all, please don’t be too harsh on this novel. It just a very simple fluff, I hope you give it a try. <<less

So let me just clear things up for new readers who's discouraged to read this due to the "rape" accusations- THERE'S NO r*pe!!!

Let me just repeat it again so that yall can understand. THERE. IS. NO. R*pe.

I think the previous reviewers just didn't read far enough to actually understand whats going on but just remember that the MC is an unreliable narrator.

This is truly a gem of Chinese light novels and one of the well written ones. It has the typical Chinese dog blooded drama but this one is miles... more>> better and well executed compared to the others.

Really love this one 5/5 stars for me. <<less

I can't imagine why other reviewers would say that it is light and fluffy. Unless you are that innocent and naive or even ignorant if you're an adult. The MC was literally r*ped multiple times and even gotten pregnant without consent. I can't be bothered reading any further because I feel so violated for the MC when I read this book. Though the author did not explicitly stated that she was r*ped, it was described rather obviously.

At least there was a r*pe tag. I honestly didn't notice it from the... more>> large paragraph of tags till I was writing this review. I hope this review, like a few others will alert other readers. But of course, base on the few chapters that I've read and the reviews by others, I would say it is actually pretty good book if you're into or accepting of r*pe <<less

I have mixed feelings about this novel, I guess it could be enjoyable if you pretend the first 30 chapters where there are r*pe scenes never happened, but I am not at all comfortable with the ML’s actions and excuses as he never thinks or doubts he did something wrong. I don’t know Chinese laws about r*pe, but in ethical countries, s*x without explicit consent is r*pe also in cases between husband and wife, in addition this novel has a modern setting so it should follow modern morals.
As result,... more>> she even gets pregnant and can’t leave the ML, if I were her, I would have thought about having an abortion. An unwanted pregnancy is not a stroll in the park contrarily to how authors usually describe it. As it is, I drop it, I prefer reading novels where romance blooms between two consensual people and not because one persone is drugged, gets pregnant and then is forced to live with the unrepentant rapist. I don't care if later he starts doting on her, the premise of the novel is horrible when there are several other novels about forced marriage scenario with morally acceptable beginnings. <<less

First time doing a review cuz I just feel bad about those poorly made reviews. There is no r*pe. ML rly loves her from the start and their run and catch game is rly cute and refreshing. MC doesnt care about schemings and revenge, she just cares about running away but fail to do so lmao. Its a great reading, been a while since i've been looking for it as i've read the first few chapters a long time ago.

Spoiler

So the r*pe thingy, at the time the ML was faking being in a coma, the MC got drunk and "attacked" him, thus ending up pregnant. She thought it was a dream so latter she kept saying that it was impossible to be preg cuz she is virg*n, well she wasnt anymore. Plus the ML at some point tells the doc that he never did the deed with her besides that one time she took the lead~ soooo the one who r*ped who, between a person in a "coma" and a drunk and h**ny young woman with a perfect and "weak" prey right in front of her...

There is also the thing with the milk, they talked about it many times that it was good for the body and all, the ML also explained that the MC had problems sleeping and thats why he got her to drink the "medicine" the MC also says that she wakes up refreshed after drinking it... she just took medicine for a better sleep and no one was r*ped at those times lol he prob ate some tofu but again besides that one time, no deed was done lel

Anyway dont let those fake views stop u from reading this gem, its a rly good novel~~ <<less

Spoiler

it's been hinted early on that the dreams she's had about snu snu with ML was real. She was asleep because

[collapse]

Spoiler

she's been constantly getting nightmares and she's exhausted from taking care/massaging ML so ML asked doctor (not sure if it's the ML or the doc having initiative) to put sleeping pills. Idk why ML had s*x with MC. The only reason author provide it's that they're doing couple duties and according to her it's not raep since MC didn't refuse even if in "dream"

[collapse]

MC is a mary sue and ML is a scum blackbellied doting husband.

Mc's entire family esp her sis is scum and second male lead is pitiful tbh. The reason for misunderstanding is weak (like, they have extremely alike face so Mc's sis can always take credit for good things mc's original soul did)

It's quite satisfying in term of face slapping because the scummy antagonist. (The ML might not be to your liking tho)

It's a good novel to pass time imho, like every other 4520chps qidian novel but more compact and straight to the point.

If you like those kinds of dog blood drama novels with strong halo protagonist, black belly doting yandere husband, scummy everyone and misunderstandings, this one is for you.

Spoiler

mc's sis is a reincarnator while MC is a transmigrator but MC's sis reincarnated from a bad timeline when she's not successful (or she reincarnated from halfway) while MC trasmigrated after fully reading the novel so she knew more, but it derailed cuz mc's sis act

[collapse]

Spoiler

MC sis reincarnated from when second ML was still poor. Second ML is actually the illegitimate bro of ML and MC's sis took credits for good things MC did for 2nd ML, they eloped and MC need to switch. In 1st life mcsis saw MC was happy and rich not knowing ML loved her and 2nd MC will be rich later on. So after reincarnation she dumped 2nd ML and chased ml

Read the original to the end due to impatience and overall it's just pure fluff, your typical "transmigrator knows the future and uses to advantage" sort of thing. This story isn't anything special, or new but it scratches that fluff itch perfectly.

Characterization is ok, there's very little character growth though besides MC falling for ML so what you see is what you get honestly. The plot isn't too bad, but her sister (rebirther) flees original ML because MC has better life but it's completely different from what MC (transmigrator) read in the novel before she crossed over. MC thinks her life is going to be tragedy by villain's side (as per novel) while sister is desperate to take her sister's place as beloved CEO's wife (as per her first life). Since these two are at odds, it gets really confusing as to which is true. Original ML from novel also disappears very quickly and the plot to get rid of him is very convoluted ("so it was actually my sister who did all that stuff for you!!!"), author added too many characters and just didn't know what to do with them.

And to reiterate the burning question in this story, is there r*pe? Nope, spoilers for that whole situation underneath.

Spoiler

Her dreams are literally just dreams, original MC came onto ML once while they were drinking together before the story and they did it once, that's why she has such vivid memories/dreams. The whole thing was a drunk one night stand is only mentioned once or twice before getting glossed over. ML stays pretending because his dad wants to kill him and he had to heal from injuries from a car crash, and originally he had no feelings for MC. It's not until after she takes care of him that he falls in love.

[collapse]

that said, the ending is very quick and VERY anticlimactic, it ended so quickly my only thought was "that's it?!". It didn't end in a terrible spot, just could have done with an epilogue because it wrapped up in like 3 sentences.

So there is no r*pe. Well, it turns out that MC was the one who attacked ML when she was drunk. Anyways, I still wouldn't highly recommend this since I didn't like the plot of the whole pregnant thing. I mean... seriously. The best the author could do was to make reader's misunderstand that MC was getting r*pe the entire time and then reveal that it was MC who r*ped ML and that was how the child was made. That to me just turns me off. It's not a matter... more>> of who r*ped who nor even a matter of r*pe, I just don't highly recommend this novel because of the s*upid plot that the child happened out of drunkness. I read a story cause I want to read something I enjoy and I certainly don't enjoy this story with the premise of drunkness leads to r*pe leads to pregnant leads to having a child leads to love. Why not find another way to write the story of having a child without the weird r*pey vibe and misunderstanding to it.

Also to people who say it is not r*pe, prehaps... but I find it that since both parties were not able to fully give their consent then it is still wrong. Wrong of the author to feel the need to include this into the story. I mean, is this really all the author could write about in this situation. Did the author really have to resort to this type of r*pey situation to make their story interesting? The answer is no. Writing is hard and I appreciate authors but it doesn't take away that just because it is hard, authors should and can include r*pey situations into romantic stories. What are we teaching readers, r*pey situations is romantic when it turns out that the whole situation was a misunderstanding and that true love will happen in the end because of it...

Overall this situation is basically a drunk girl climbing onto the bed of a paralyzed man and having s*x with him. We find out that although the man was unable to do anything back, he wasn't totally angry that it happened. Rather he just dismiss it. While the girl wakes up thinking everything was a dream and NO ONE ever tells her anything UNTIL SHE FINDS OUT SHE IS PREGNANT!!!

Happy story anyone? Any takers to be the girl in this story at this moment? Probably not. Even if the girl will eventually love her child and husband later and everything, at that moment she found out she was pregnant when she thought she was a virg*n, she must have been so scared at the thought of how she got pregnant and with who? If she is a new virg*n Mary or if someone r*ped her (even though she was the one who attacked others). As such, people please stop down playing the whole r*pey situation thing. (Also I have stated that some may not see it as r*pe but I don't really have a better word to describe the bizarre situation that r*pey situation, please forgive me).

Also I'm surprise by the face that people keep saying that it is just how the author wrote it and that the ML is a good man. I mean he is, but does it really take away from the whole weird situation the story was set in? I mean he literally said to the doctor when she found out she was pregnant

"We're husband and wife. What's wrong with fulfilling the obligations that's between a husband and wife? Besides, you came onto me to the first time."

So a husband or wife can't r*pe their spouse since it is part of their obligations to each other? Hmm... either this is new knowledge to me or people are just skipping past this part in what the male lead said. <<less

Well, First please try not to read other comments, no r*pe happened in the book.

MTL, author themselves said both characters had relations when one was drunk and other was newly woken up. It was before the transmigration. This would classify as dubious content but not really r*pe.

Otherwise the hickey part... It is the only highly questionable part of the book if it helps, furthermore child is not born out of a r*pe.

much better than what I expected. FL was someone who can think for herself without letting feelings clouded her judgement. That's already speak volume, since such FL in cn manhuas is a rare appearance. ML was also not bad. Yes, he's cold but he's also loyal and obediently listens to the fl's words. Both FL and ML respect each other. The romance was also quite good. It's not slow nor rushed. I see a lot of people dropped this manhua because they thought ML r*ped FL when they were sleeping... more>> together. Well, hate to break it to you, but technically, the one who did the 'rape' was FL to ml, when he was still paralyzed and the FL was drunk. Tbh, I don't even think it was r*pe, because ML was aware of what was happening at that time. He just didn't have the capability to refuse her because he was paralyzed, so he let it happen.

A decent story to read. ML respected MC and does not go over the boundary unless MC allows him. Quite heartwarming in some certain chapters.

My only unhappiness about this novel is the chapters translated too short as compare to the novel raws. One chapter of the raw is being broken up to almost 4 parts.

She was drunk and he was paralyzed. SHE was the one who came onto him while he couldn't do anything bc he was paralyzed. If anything, he was the one who was r*ped. Even if he seemed to like it and was awake, if one of them can't do anything nor give consent (bc ya 'know, he's paralyzed), that's r*pe. Wow! Was that any better? Drugging you? Mol*stING you?

Srsly, if it was not the male lead who drugged her (or made someone else drugged her) and touched her while drugged and asleep, ya'll would be losing your shit.
