I would've loved to see the couple get together, they're easily shipable and fit well. It is implied they get together at least
a cliche everything turns out okay back to how it was at the start of the novel, and it's not even properly explained, which normally I find annoying but considering how easygoing the story is I think it works the best compared to anything else the author couldve done. Angst would feel forced and out of place
Everyone loses their memories of the whole apocalypse! WTF, why even bother then?
squirrelbeta player survivor who builds the best base by having common sense and hoarding every item she can lay her hands on. If you're looking for a not too serious apocalypse story with a female protagonist who isn't blinded by love (girl is denser than a neutron star) then this is the perfect read to pass some time with! Yun Ling is a great protagonist: she's not altruistic but she's fair and does her best to keep her territory running smoothly without compromising... more>>I don't really like 'reset' endings and memory reset
overall, it was good. But it’s not something that I would re-read again. It has interesting mechanics and pretty basic in the gamified setting. Moderate paced too when read in one seating but it does get kind of repetitive. Fortunately, the author did not drag it for too long and ended it neatly.
speaking of the ending, it is a bit underwhelming. Kinda dislike the wiped memory trope. It’s akin to “it’s just a dream” trope and kinda cheapen the adventures/experiences since it reset everything.
the lack of romance is just fine for me. While it can be seen vaguely that ML, Lu Chuan is interested in FL, Yun Ling, he wasn’t the annoying in your face type.
the epilogue alluded that ML keep his memory but it was so short to makes anything out of it.
and since I've read Natural Disaster Apocalypse prior to this, I don’t think the system is as evil/bad as the translator & commenters are making out to be. This story is kinda lighthearted comparatively.
I'm not much a fan of the whole reset the world and everyones memories when they win the game, kinda makes everything that happened somehow pointless imo, basically just short of the "in the end it turns out everything was just a dream"-trope, so -1 star from me for that ending
