After Running Away With a Cub, I Became Everyone’s Favourite

Xia Qingshu transmigrated into a book. He was now the beautiful, arrogant, but slow-witted cannon fodder that always antagonised the protagonist shou. Finally, after a retaliation, he met a very miserable ending.

Xia Qingshu, who found himself already in the villain’s luxury suite: “Wuu, how can I be so miserable?”

So, he decided to run away.

Chen Zhiyu is a wealthy boss, the richest man in the world.

He was abstinent and conservative. Handsome in appearance, clean, and always at the top of the cantaloupe rich list.

Because the family business has always been handed down to a single heir for the past nine generations, Chen’s parents are always pushing for marriage and birth.

Chen Zhiyu: No marriage. After death, all the inheritance will be donated to the country!

The distant relatives looked forward to the extinction of the Chen family like vultures. They are waiting for the opportunity to adopt their grandsons into the Chen family to inherit hundreds of billions of yuan in inheritance.

One day, Mother Chen found Xia Qingshu, who was close to Chen Zhiyu, by the maternity unit leaning against the wall with morning sickness.

The Chen family boiled over. Mother Chen rushed to Xia Qingshu: “I’ll give you 100 million…”

Xia Qingshu quickly opened the payment code: “Auntie, I’ll buy a plane ticket right away, and make sure to stay away from your son.”

Mother Chen: “Marry my son, I’ll give you five billion, and also let the child be born!”

Mother Chen went wild, and gifts piled up on a mountain to welcome the new life.

Xia Qingshu: ? !

Xia Qingshu: “Auntie, I also can’t let go of the little life in my stomach… I don’t want the five billion, only the child. As for your son, I don’t want. ”

~

“Secretary, Is Xia Qingshu still spying on my whereabouts every day? ”

“President. Xia Qingshu has never appeared again.”

“Then is he not suffering?”

“…Xia Qingshu has become a top-notch streamer. Not only is he a popular anchor, he is also an upcoming movie star/top streamer, and the second richest person in the world. ”

“??”

“President, Xia Qingshu is on a blind date. He will never pester you again! ”

“….”

“Secretary, you are seeing things, right?”

The novel is.... alright....

But to be honest I couldn't keep on reading anymore.

For one the MC is described disgustingly to me. He's supposed to be a 19 year old but everyone describes him as a:

... more>> "cute little milk cat whose hands are so small.. So soft like these hands have no bones.. He smells like milk and his eyes water akin to a child's."

Idk I had to go back and remind myself that this is, in fact, not an 8 year old but a 19 year old adult...

I know the MC is supposed to be " acting" foolish, but he is??? It's so weird.

Since I've been in the BL scene for a good while I know that there's people who enjoy this type of stuff (the infantalisation of men) and I'm not here to judge anyone.

But I didn't expect it and I'm not into it.

Also also, this story is weirdly racist?? Idk man, , , I didn't even know there was a specific slur for korean people, but now I do! They also stereotype them as ungrateful thieves?? For some odd reason?? Idk it didn't sit well with me. Also that one instance another character commented on the MC's weight and said to him... Something like..."oh my you look like one of those starved african children, have more food"

????????

I tried to ignore these and continue reading so I could get to the face slapping or whatever but it became unbelievably unbearable.

The translation is alright. There's some grammar mistakes but it's not bad.

So read at your own discretion <<less

It was only fun for me in the beginning.

MC is smart in the beginning but always acts s*upid, but then in the end, he really becomes s*upid.

The other sub-MLs leads falling in love make no sense.

The cub wasn't born the whole story.

The thought process of the characters make no sense at all.

The story is actually falling in love because of absolute beauty of MC?

Gosh! Some save my Brian sells..

Okay,

MC : smart and cunning in front of the so called villains but a s*upid child in front of others.

... more>> Soft voice, small face, soft body, milky white skin and so on.

ML : rich, narcissistic, dominant and s*upid....

The two stars I am giving to the novel is for translator and the face slap for ML which wasn't really satisfactory. And the description of MC is really sickening.

I like reading fluffs but this novel just makes me wants to puke blood.

The repetitive description of mc's soft body, shiny eyes, pink lips just makes me sick. For goddamn sake I am here to read bl here. I've read many novels where shous are thin and white comparing to girls but, their descriptions are not as sickening as this one. Is this still a bl novel anymore?

Don't get mislead by the title and the summary. I got excited by summary and thought I would get to read something good but where is MC running away? Where is the cub? When did he become the richest man on his own? 90%of the summary is a lie <<less

Imagine a story where everyone is either s*upid or jumps to random conclusions all the time. That’s this story. No one makes sense and I have a headache wondering how these people are incredibly powerful and successful businessmen and women. I’m fine with brain dead stories but the characters aren’t likable enough to pull this off and the plot isn’t interesting enough. Try to turn off your brain and enjoy it if you want. Good luck

The novel is very short and easy to mtl. I finished reading it within a day. The character that I feel made the most impact on me was the ML. He was so funny and idiotic despite his status as a cunning cold-faced president. I rated this novel three stars because while I did enjoy it, there were some aspects I didn't like. First, I found the MC's character to be quite fickle. At first, he seems to be quite smart because he ends up overturning everyone's perception of him... more>> by acting innocent, but as the story progresses, he's no longer acting. He really is innocent and clueless about everything. That kind of confused me because his character changed completely, from a wily fox to a Gary Stu.

Second, I don't understand the point of having so many men like the MC. They are practically useless to the plot and exist solely to make the ML realize that he's in love with the MC.

Third, the word "cub" is in the title, but there's NO CUB! The novel ends quite abruptly while the MC is about 4-5 months pregnant. I want to see the cub that was promised!

That's all the criticism I can remember at the moment. It's not a bad novel nor is it a great novel. However, I don't think reading this was a waste of time either, so I'd recommend this if you have time to kill. <<less

Simple story with a HE, it wraps up half the plot points whilst leaving the other half unwritten. Would not recommend unless you are the type who likes to fantasize about author unwritten content (like me haha)

the baby is not born at all in the whole story?! Then whats the point of this novel basis??

This was honestly not THAT bad, just average and pretty basic, your typical Gary Stu danmei - where the MC inexplicably gained like, 4 suitors for standing still and looking pretty, which was also fine, I guess.

As toshibi said, MC only ACTED dumb at the beginning, but then he seemed to turn into a real dumbass later on.

He's supposed to be a transmigrator but for some reason I feel like this is more of a case like Death Progress Bar and Transmigrated into A Big Shot’s Cannon Fodder Little Pampered... more>> Wife, even tho in the end it seems like it's not? But MC's parents before he transmigrated over sounds really similar to his current parents. That's just the feeling that I get. Hell, it would be more interesting if that was the case, but it's not, so this was just a bit boring and flat. I skimmed through the last 30 chapters feeling like I'm super high lmao.

MC was likeable at first until his IQ suddenly took off after chapter 20. ML is.... well, he's overbearing sure, also narcissistic and possessive and I guess he was kinda tsundere-ish? Normally I'm very into this kind of ML but this time I'm just not into him. I personally would've preferred MC with the Film Emperror love interest simply because it looks like they'd make a more interesting pair.

In conclusion, I don't hate it but I don't love it either, it was kinda boring. I wouldn't re-read or recommend it for anyone who wants something good but if you're like, super high or drunk I guess this is something you can read for giggles. <<less

I enjoyed this novel (despite some hang ups), but at this point the bullsh*t has gotten to the level I can't tolerate.

Now, what I personally found unacceptable about this novel was not the same as many others: The nonsensical way people care magically about MC is something I'm willing to suspend my disbelief on because who cares, we all knew we weren't exactly getting into a revolutionary piece of media here.

But what really upsets me is some small moments in the story that show some REALLY messed up views the... more>> author seems to condone.

Examples of this are: (I'm putting this under a spoiler because it's got really sensitive content.)

Spoiler

The MC is actively racist against Korean people, and even says REPEATEDLY a slur to refer to them, describing the entirety of the Korean population as ungrateful thieves....????

One of the so called second MLs in this story is MC's straight up attempted gang r*pist, who then is allowed to walk freely out of jail by paying some compensation to MC and then just continues to exist as a character in the story. Never do his actions really get addressed as what they were beyond the moment of the attempt, and from then on it was just referred to vaguely as "bullying MC" and the character in question even complained that he got punished without even getting to eat meat. Considering the trivializing tone that the novel's narration takes to the incident, and that not A SINGLE time does a single character talk about what happened and just refers to it vaguely as "the incident", despite there being literal recordings of the guy's threats and actions to r*pe the MC, it really does feel like the author seems to think that it's not that big a deal since it didn't actually happen. I'm not necessarily against approaching r*pe in stories as long as it's handled properly, but this was NOT the case here and since author couldn't deliver well, they should've never touched the subject to begin with.

Finally, and what really broke the camel's back for me, was the SCUMMY ML's parents. ML's parents are even described directly by the ML himself as "parents who loved him conditionally". Through his entire life, they cared for him not because they loved him, but because they wanted him to have an heir. When he got hurt, they only cared about his health so that he could be fine to have a wife and give birth to a son. And yes, it is a son only. They are not only incredibly toxic and manipulative people, they're also s*upidLY sexist. The ML's dad at one point has an inner dialogue where he wants MC to give birth to twins, two males for double insurance. But he says he could even "be humble and accept one girl and one boy". As if accepting a granddaughter was this terrible sacrifice he was willing to put up with for the sake of having a grandson, which obviously is the only one they care about. Now, you'd think with how I am describing these people, they'd be villains and obstacles to the overall story, right? But no! They're just side characters, POSITIVELY aligned ones. As in, they are never portrayed as the malignant tumor they truly are. Not only that, but unlike the VERY fake novel description, the truth was that MC wanted to abort the child and ended up getting guilt tripped and bought into having it because of these two's psychological warfare, all the while the mother waxes HORRIBLY manipulative and guilt trippy things about how MC was killing her poor grandson and how he was so cruel and he should feel ashamed of himself for killing ML's son with his own hands. It was sincerely one of the most disgusting scenes I've had the displeasure to read through, but it was somehow framed as meant to be half comedic. I wanted to puke, honestly.

It also has some really sad beauty standards that it flaunts such as "wearing vibrant colors is bad and ugly" and "darker skin bad" as per usual.

[collapse]

TLDR: Author deals with subjects they clearly have no depth in with as much care and subtlety as a herd of elephants and created some of the most disgusting side characters to the point it's entirely unacceptable unless you close 3 eyes while reading it. <<less

Dropped it, the MC named Xia Qing Shu was kind, funny and described as a bit s*upid. He just wanted to escape the fate of becoming a canon fodder, but the author was adamant about making him the second Xia Yubin. Xia Yubin cried, Author would be like "Xia Qing shu cries better, oh and he looks prettier" Xia Yubin pretends to be weak, Author "Oh Xia Qing Shu is really weak even just holding his hand he can cry" I was just wondering why is the Author so insistent... more>> on making Xia Qing Shu a comparison to Xia Yubin as if not comparing Xia Qing Shu to no value? Even though the beginning of this story is very good, even though the MC is not sensitive and a bit s*upid about his feelings, he is not s*upid about the problems around him. But the continuous depiction of how weak and easy to cry he is in ML and Xia Yubin's harem, over time made this story only center on how Xia Qing Shu is more loved because he doesn't pretend to be weak like Xia Yubin, but is really weak and easy cry. I am sick of it. <<less

There's so many wrongs in the novel but it's interesting and humorous.

I love the humor but unfortunately, it's only in the beginning. One particular moment that made me laugh out loud was...

Spoiler

When the ML was scolding his d*ck for being unsatisfied 😂

[collapse]

Fun aside, I had expectations for this novel but it wasn't delivered. It is my fault though, since I didn't read the tags carefully, making me not notice that there's no childcare tag. I was excited to see what the characters would act like as parents, but meh, we can only imagine.

And damn, the ending was so abrupt??? Like, the child kicked in the belly and the ML felt it and then BOOM, ✨️Happy Ending✨️... It's so unsatisfying ahhhhhhh

Screams of frustration aside, another bit that was a good premise but was set aside was the original harem members. The movie emperor seems really interesting and fit to be the 2nd ML, but well... He was kicked out of the story, probably to give focus on the fluff and not the drama (which could have added more spice to the story). It is understandable since the first impression of this novel is that it will have tooth-rotting fluff.

The villain of the story... is a typical bit*h that we all wanna strangle. That's all I wanna say about that person.

The MC is... Disappointing. For all that he said about "acting is just like breathing, " it doesn't seem as such. It was like his IQ lowered after transmigration??? In a way, I have the impression that actors have amazing EQ and IQ since there's so much going on in the entertainment industry, whether on or off the set. To see an MC that says such a line that "acting is like breathing" gave me expectations but it was dashed.

There are more problematic things and it truly is a happy ending, but the bottomline is that... The novel will give you expectations but it will not deliver. <<less

A large part of this story is dedicated to describing how pretty and delicate MC is. Look at his boneless little hands, his innocent and pure eyes, his milky lemon scent, his shiny lips, his soft feet. I get it. You don’t have to remind me of that every chapter.

My expectations were that MC would run away to a different place to live and care for his child, that he would become a popular streamer (?) and be loved by the people he meets there. Nope. The only place he... more>> ran away from was the hotel room where he stayed with ML. And according to the comment section the child would remain in his stomach until the end of the novel?

I also have a problem with how the og MC is treated. His family that raised him for 20 years starts treating him terribly after MC returns. His older brother reasons that the cold way he treated him with was because they weren’t blood related. His parents kick him out when the MC says that he won’t come to their house unless they do that. His biological father shuns him and tells him to go stay in a hotel because the house belongs to MC. Even his love interests start to despise him after they meet/spend some time with MC. And yes, I understand that he is the villain. He’s not innocent. But I don’t think he deserves to be treated like tr*sh when he hasn’t done much yet.

The ML just makes me want to strangle him. He is so narcissistic and delusional that a part of me wants to continue reading just to see that face slap. I see how the misunderstanding started, and yes, it was funny at first, but at this point he’s not in love (?) with the MC, but an imaginary person that MC created. Although by the end of the novel the MC might just become that mindless fool who loves the ML.

I also want to mention that some of the characters I’m just disgusted with. ML’s parents and one of the og MC’s love interests. The love interest should be in jail in my opinion.
Spoiler

After he failed to r*pe MC, which was somehow just swept under the rug and not mentioned again, he becomes obsessed with the MC. And we get to have the pleasure of reading on how he licks the door handle that MC has touched and peeks at MC in the restroom.

[collapse]
His family genuinely makes me feel bad for him. Let’s not forget that the ML’s mother didn’t just find the MC by the maternity unit, having a morning sickness. She stalked him with her husband, collected evidence that MC was pregnant, and invited him to a cafe, where she confronted him and offered that 5 billion in the description. These characters make me afraid for the MC’s unborn child and I pray that they die before he/she is born.

The beginning is really fun and exciting, but becomes disappointing later. The only characters that I find interesting at this point are He Chen and Wen Sheng. <<less

It started off so well & then just... Became so annoying. I can't even bring myself to finish it because I just don't care about them anymore. The MC just progressively lost braincells until he became an actual white lotus. ML was fine, don't really have many feelings for him but the misunderstandings did get funny. The rest of the brain-dead suitors, the unnecessary brother bs, the brain-dead "villain" og MC, the simping 2 sets of parents... It all just built up to something that is just plain annoying. It... more>> had such potential in the beginning & I'm just tired by this point.

The translation seems to be just edited MTL that gets the pronouns wrong here & there. But mostly it readable.

Do I recommend? Not really. I guess it's fine to pass the time. But honestly there's lots others in a similar vein that don't make me want to throw my whole phone away. <<less

I am very disappointed with how the story stays unfaithful to the premise. There was no MC running away, him becoming a streamer and/or singer/actor. Despite us, readers are repeatedly reminded by the author how MC's past life is full of the entertainment world, that he was so busy that he almost didn't have any time left for recreational activity, we expect him to be a successful person with a career right? WRONG, MC just ends up as an unemployed 'wife'.

Also, his adopted family. I can see how MC much... more>> prefer them rather than his biological parent, but they are left with little screen time after like, the second half of the novel. Truly, even though they contribute 1/4 of comedic scenarios in that first half (loves his adopted dad even though he's a coward), but nooo, the author wants MC to mingle with the boring rich like a lot of other b*tch*s (other web novels). There's also the fact MC drop out of school because he can't bear to use the money, instead want to invest it more in his sickly brother's medication. But you know what? we saw the brother mostly healthy, I was genuinely confused about WHY the author decided it like that. Is it fragrant to make MC financially dependent on whoever cherished him (family, ML, etc).

Which is a shame, truly, it was a really fun read even with its cliche, the misunderstanding is hilarious, and the amount of sand sculpture... especially ML, the clown-est of them all LMAO. But then you meet ML's parents and things got WORSE. God, they are so obnoxious with their obsession with having grandsons. I know it is supposed to be comedic, their act with their cats is just top tier, but how infinitely better it will be if they said they just want to have grandCHILDREN instead. And I here thought "I am excited how MC's going to refuse them", but then he agreed ???. Like why my guy, your family is rich too, there's no logical explanation for why a guy with MC's background and past experience is gonna give his personal choices just for money

The most outrageous of them all, is how the author didn't even let us see what MC's true personality is ! Some might not notice, but MC's personality in the novel is mostly acting. It's hard to notice because he'd done it throughout the entirety of the novel, but his monologue should give that out. My take is he should be cunning (spend most of his life in showbiz) and have god tier self-restraint (being a popular actor/singer + being a straight-A student are not easy to do), though he should've been a bit naive because of his upbringing, but not this kind of mentally challenged naivety. Even in the last chapter, his soft and dumbo personality somehow become permanent, it is his real personality now... Author if you want to write this kind of "sweet silly wife" shou, don't half-assed it from the protagonist you create that logically shouldn't behave that way. <<less

I'm laughing at myself while reading this novel.

The story is actually alright. Its just... the novel is quite s*upid. I almost forgot that MC is transmigrator because of his setting. Is he that slow witted in his real world? Or he was influence by the body he reside since the real owner of MC's body is s*upid because of being bullied.

Anyway, I understand the story. It's just the way it was written is so messed up. I think it was a battle of idiocy. The lower the IQ/EQ the better.

Okay, I don't usually write a review, but this story has been so disappointing in its latter chapters that I was so mad. I have a fair expectation for this book because it becomes good in the middle part then I realized how s*upid the ML and his family is in the latter chapters. Like there's so many reasons, but I'm so lazy to elaborate. I hate Chen family's eccentric nature. They only care abt pride and the child. I'm already almost chapter 70 in the book but I can't... more>> still feel if the MC has already fallen for such an eccentric man.— and Chen Rao, dude. I hate her more than Xia Yunbin. The summary was really interesting and I thought I’ll give it a try.

The beginning was really interesting and then as the novel gradually goes on, it started to become annoying. Basically it’s a Gary Sue danmei novel. Honestly I think I lost a few brain cells while reading this.

Why I hate the MC

... more>> I hate how the MC would lead the ML on and act oblivious when in reality he clearly knows what he’s doing.

I honestly wonder how the hell (please don’t mind the bad word) he manages to get everyone to like him. That’s impossible.

I thought the MC was very interesting in the beginning but as the novel progresses, he became so annoying, a lot like a white lotus. I’m not sure, but at one point I just began to think of the MC as a girl because of the author’s description of him.

The MC acts all smart when dealing with the villains but when dealing with his friends and family, they all think he’s a dumb and foolish child.

I’ll give this a 3 stars. <<less

Plot: Just so-so. There is no upside down. In general, it’s about few men interested in our MC and lots of s*upid misunderstandings. The ending is toooo abrupt like WTH??!! Made me wondering if the story is really ended loll.

MC: Your typical cute pure innocent shou

ML: Your typical domineering arrogant narcissistic gong

This danmei is s*upid gosh

I don't know if this MC is innocent or s*upid (an idiot maybe). But god I can't get angry when I read it,

this MC is so s*upidly innocent that the gong is always having a hard time, but it's fine, he deserve it (imagine the stereotypical CEO of gong getting into trouble all the time because his uke is too innocent 😭)

... more>> The secondhand embarrassment is also really thick 😭 but it's hilarious.

This danmei only has 85 chapters, but it has 170 misunderstanding plots :".

Usually if you read a plot about misunderstanding you'll be annoyed... but this is really funny.

If you read this, don't think about it too deeply. Just think of it as a passing wind, just enjoy the funny but weird ride ✌

Btw this is the trope of gong falls first (super hard) but hallucinating that shou love him first <<less

Honestly, the novel isn't all that bad. It's actually quite good. This is my first ever below 3.5 rating novel and it turned out better than expected. (Please read all the negative reviews, they are actually quite spot on on the dumbness of the novel and the ridiculousness of the MC's golden finger).

I went in without knowing that it had such a sucky rating because I was reading something else on knoxt and stumbled upon this along the way. When I first started out I was like, this is kinda... more>> badly translated and I was confused about the MC. Was he being deliberately dumb or is he the genuine silly, sweet and naive character (the answer till the end of the novel is I'm not sure either) ? So I went to the reviews on NU to try to figure it out. Lo and behold, that was when I found out that it's not a running with the ball story nor is it supposedly any good. So, this set a benchmark for what to expect when reading but what I read was way better than what I expected hence the slightly higher rating (as compared to the nonsense novel Villain in the Kindergarten where NO ONE reviewed that the summary was NOT what you would be getting).

Summary: This is a story of how a random dude (who was an actor in his past life which is totally irrelevant in the story) who was transmigrated into some BL harem novel, got knocked up and is harassed by the guy who knocked him up and kept playing dumb to avoid dealing with it hahaha. Along the way his past crush and random rich guys kept falling for his innocence and beauty and he be like I like none of those dudes. There is also his arch nemesis (the original MC of the novel) who keeps doing bad stuff to him because he thinks that he's the ultimate winner in life but he kept being blocked by the MC's super strong golden protagonist halo (like seriously it's a very strong one that defies logic and brings luck and people to his side which really pits the antagonist to death). Also, please note that the MC's smell and looks are touched on A LOT in the novel hehe. There is quality faceslapping, rich family harasses the lowlife ex lover and switch at birth plot line going on too, so enjoy!

I think if the author had made a disclaimer that this would be an overdramatic brainless novel (like what the author for Rebirth of a Cannon Fodder from a Novel did) that requires you to shut down your brain for a few hours or it will kill your brain cells, the novel would have been more well received.

The storyline is actually well written and there wasn't much plot holes. The plot was quite interesting with all the cliches at play (and some in a ridiculous exaggerated manner) but it made the entire novel quite funny. I don't know if it was the author or the translator, but something about the novel was actually quite enjoyable to read.

Now on to the characters.

The MC... Like I said at the first part of the review, he is the silly, sweet and naive type. The body that he tranamigrated into was a little bit slow (like mentally) so he played this silly naive character. But throughout the novel, you only get a small hint that he actually isn't that silly (because of his biting remarks and analysis skills) but at the same time the way be acts throughout is really on the silly naive cute side. So you really can't tell if he is or isn't. I'm just gonna assume he wasn't but because he transmigrated into someone with a slightly slow brain, his mental processes changed too (like this novel angst novel called Flying Ash where the MC was initially mentally challenged and he went into the body of someone who wasn't and then he slowly was able to think like a normal person). So, take the MC's character with a pinch of salt.

The ML.... haiihhhhhhh. He is one word - DELUSIONAL. If you need more words to describe him, he is shameless and narcissistic (and he too realises it in the later part of the novel). His family is the same too hahahaha which makes the novel super silly when the mother comes to face slap the MC with money (and also the mother in law vs mother in law scene was epic) . The way he thinks is, I'm so great I'm so awesome of course the MC likes me. The two were on completely different wavelengths. It's not in an annoying manner though (but it does borderline becomes so) and it made the whole thing a funny mess. Also, trigger warning, the ML (feels to me) does harass the MC even if the MC doesn't want it but because of his softer personality, he allows it.

All the men in the story are either pe*verts, yanderes or delusional. Wait they are confirmed all delusional hahahahahhaa

I honestly think that the author should have ended with a no CP or with the MC being with the low-key psycho Film Emperor because his brain seems like the most normal one there (aside from his yandere tendencies). Because, I don't think the MC would have ended up with the ML if he wasn't preggo. It's because he is preggo that he gave the ML a chance. Otherwise, he would have raised the baby on his own. The ML does turn around and be a bit better (actually not really he becomes like a super wife salve in a ridiculous manner and not at all like like a cold domineering CEO, and he constantly gets bailed out by the MC when it comes to dealing with the MC's family).

The pregnancy part doesn't play a huge role in the story (unlike what the title hints) and is only uses to facilitate the drama a little.

The ending was really mediocre but overall it's still a really pleasant read it you're looking for stalkerish MLs, silly MCs, really s*upid and funny ML and MC family (lols I forgot the MC's family's legacy to the throne hahahaha) and just a whole bunch of nonsense with tons of unnecessary 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th ML. Give it a go and you may just enjoy it. <<less

I dropped it. Things are very different from the synopsis.

But most of all? At first it was obvious he choose to act like a naive and dumbish white lotus... but over time we don't see the real him. No monologue no sadow nothing. He really mecomes that. We only see him not being that dumb when he's dealing with the adopted leeches and the antagonist. Outside of that... you'll really think he's mentally impaired. And slowly that really becomes him.

Also. The reason the people get attracted to him is him... more>> being super pale and delicate AND dumbish. And his "delicate and well behaved" appearance is described over and over to the point it get annoying.

I honestly think the antagonist (apart of doing stoopid sheet antagonists need to do to be antagonists) is way better MC material.

I don't mind reading about a character that acts naive and dumb as long as it's shown that he is acting. But in this one it feels like the author forgot how his personality originally is... I don't really recommend it... <<less
