Why 3 stars?

Probably deserve less, but there is a public that might enjoy, and it seen to be rather comedic light hearted, so maybe is not for me.

Want a japanese isekai lvl of dense protagonist, with little personality beyond want to upgrade his territory with phone lvl gameplay that deus exmachina his way to difficult situations and is obessed by many powerful, heroines that all devolve into idiots and catfighting each time they glance at him?

... more>> Then this novel is for you.

Obs: And no, the fact they blame the skill for the lack of emotion or personality on the MC dont excuse it.

2) good points:

The idea of mixing game elements of gacha and the idea that 10 year passed since he left is interesting, as well the differenve how his player action translated in the "gacha world".

The fact the heroines had grow into their own powers and how they dealt with his suddenly absence was another point of intrigue. Specially making you wonder why they want to mend their relationship.

Lastly the ability to help raise a hero and that help raise theie relationship had potential.

3) the bad parts

A) MC without personality- as mention before, MC has no personality, in fact feel he still playing a game with how one dimensional he feel.

- later the reveal about the side effect of his skill, just soured the situation. Specially when have been done better in serie such as Overlord, the MC is little more than a NPC. Worse yet oblivious that sound like a parody of the dense MC trope than something would write.

- worse yet, because the game mechanics he never feel very competent or only interested in his ambition. His schemes are fruit of points that are explained after the fact and so feel contrived even if pull the "it worked like that when I played 10 year ago" card.

B) Idiot ball of the heroines: all of them could be put in yandere in how mad they are for the MC and beside their incredible power and inexplicable loyal followers, only trait is being crazy for the MC make them act foolish and enter in inanes looney tunes lvl of catfights that grate one nerves. They also dub as the MC deus exmachina in their spare time as their actions alwaya help the MC direct or indirectly.

C) underwhelming game-lit mechanic - as all phone games that need hours to complete any building, in special gacha, is very underwhelming and the implementation in the story is to wave away any concern how he is able to improve things. And translation the game mechanics are almost 1:1 with the game, woth just enough space for the MC to easily take advantage of some elements.

D) boring plot - the MC does have some ideas to exploit the game system, but they are always incredible effective and with alot of downtime between so we have weeks of months time skip of the MC putting that 1 exploit to work and wait to make it enough money for the next upgrade.

The heroines outside plot is more interesting but because is marked with they going back to idiot ball each time when they visit the MC is tiring. And for gacha heroines are show to be OP so is mostly about them want to do something they think will give favor to the MC and accidently destroy other plot.

Worse yet, all theses plots are also boring and are almost always about evil nobles or demons that meet their ends under the overwhelming force of the heroines or the latest asspull of the MC.

E) deus exmachima - the story is divided between the generic kingdom building the MC is doing, with what the heroines are doing outside his territory. Inside the territory the MC always have 1 easy solution that wasnt really explaines before, to whatever problem come his way and if isnt enough the heroines will accidently help solve or improve the problem that he have no way of dealing with. So there is no tension and kind contrived. <<less

Exactly the plot I am interested, but MC starts to ruin it by being both emotionally and mentally impotent, having instincts slower than a turtle, always "trying" to figure out what is happening right under his nose

It had promise but the author created artificial misunderstandings. The heroines think and say one thing. The MC says and think something different. They don't have conversations long enough to constitute anything meaningful passed to each other. Also it's weird cause the author writes the MC as though he's treating it as a game when it's real life. It's a weird Mish mash that isn't fleshed out very well.

(comment written with Google translation).

At first, after reading the reviews of other users, I was hesitant to read it because I thought that it would be a work with plot holes and a lot of misunderstandings.

But I still became curious and read it. Some reviews said that it was strange that the main character treats the world as a game and his attitude towards the heroines is also strange.

Spoiler around 120 (? Maybe less) chapter: ... more>>
Spoiler

he is cursed to think distantly about other characters and the world, but he cures it.

[collapse]

Somewhere it was said that the reason why he moved to the game world was never revealed (even though the person read less than 20 chapters there, lol).

I won't spoil it, but I will say that all these questions are answered (in less than chapter 160).

In fact, the heroines will reunite with the main character quite quickly and even engage in s*xual interc**rse, I don’t want to go into too much detail, I just don’t want the reviews to be completely negative.

This piece has its flaws, but I think it's good. At the beginning it may seem strange how the main character treats the world as a game, but later this will change (there is a reason for this). After the main character fixes his problem, everything becomes much better, but I liked it before, so I recommend reading it.

This is the kind of novel Invisble dragon was making fun of 20 years ago.

Atleast 1/3rd of the novel is just exposition dump after dump. Explaining gacha mechanics. It feels like half the text is. It probably is.

The MC also comes across as slightly sociopathic. The author never depicts him in an emotional manner. No actions that could indicate so.

And so what entertains you is the misery of the heroines. Empathy for them. Which coincidentally are the scenes that aren't exposition dumps. That's what the 3/5s and 4/5s are for.

The title of this novel is self-explanatory. The main character, Kim Hyunwoo, is put into a mobile game he once played 10 years ago. Using his game knowledge and the power of simping gacha heroines, he will make his territory great again.

The abruptness of being dropped into a game is never explained, so this plot hole is going to exist until the author forgets or decides to write it in later.

Almost all of Kim Hyunwoo's success in the story can be attributed to the money he put into the game... more>> to level his gacha characters to five stars. Though these five-star characters left Lartania, they still support Kim Hyunwoo. The support stems from the built-up affection points Kim gained during his mobile gaming days. Using the power of money, Kim maxed out the affection levels, but he stopped due to the expense of keeping those levels maxed. Now, every chapter with a five-star character has them moping and trying to return to Lartania, but staying away due to other reasons.

I enjoyed reading this story, but it is not for everyone. The only male character worth mentioning is Kim Hyunwoo. All other male characters are either villains, underlings, or mob characters. This story is based on a mobile game, so of course most of the heroes are female. Not to say that there are not money hungry gacha games with male heroes, but statistically, most of a game's playerbase will be male. This lack of fleshed out male characters may change later on, but I highly doubt it.

If you're looking for a territory building story with gacha heroines, then this story may fit the bill. <<less

The author used the prolog as a crutch to kick start the story and hook you in abit, which I feel is kind of cheating. Theres basically no build up or explaination for the mc's transmigration or why he was so good or obssessed with the game. He was apparently a whale that got tired of being ripped off and just dumped the game cold turkey, then years past. It's a bit of an abrupt start but if the real story gets explained later through the heroes' pov it could... more>> be really interesting. There's potential for an entertaining story depending on how the connection to the game and real life plays out. Was it a god game where it was real all along? Did the game just suddenly become real? Is it an alternate dimension thats extremely similar to the game and the MC just body snatched someone? Did he fall into the game for some reason? Hopefully the author has a good explaination to tie this all together. <<less

Although, I have not read much about the story I have high hopes for it. The story is seems easy to follow, the writing is good, and the plot (although sort of generic) seems ok. Overall the story has potential to be interesting.

the dynamic of this novel is bad, the personality of the protagonist and the female characters is incompatible.

I can't find any synergy in their characters, the protagonist is wholeheartedly focused on building his city and can not think of anything else...

He simply doesn't care enough to think of a way to get those mentally ill women beside him to cure them without suffering from their infamy (he can simply make them visit him secretly, or just stay in disguise), but no, he just refuse them and send those unstable nuclear... more>> weapons away.

And those women, just get too twisted on their own, making speculation about their bad relationship with the protagonist on their own, falling into depression from over-imagination on their own, and thinking of solutions on their own.

They never asked the protagonist directly what they could do for him to forgive them, or how they could help him without getting him into trouble because of their infamy... etc

The major upset in this novel is that the protagonist does not care enough about their abnormal mental status and they are too broken to enjoy reading about their self-torture.

The novel is not enjoyable with all these incompatibility... The author crossed the realm of yandere and stepped into the realm of insanity with this characters. <<less

This novel is about a protagonist who got transmigrated into the world of a mobile game he used to play but quit due to the needy ai and demanding monetization by the company. 10 years after he quits he wakes up to his ruined territory. He must build up his territory again and survive.

The yanderes who were very needy and demanding of him in the past caused him to abandon them, and they deeply regretted ever since and spend their days hopelessly till they discovered of his return.

A novel full... more>> of yandere elements. This seemed to me a mishmash of these 2 novels (if u liked this def suggest reading), with many Japanese novel writing elements which sadly bogged it down. It is pretty similar to "The Case In Which Streaming In Another World Led To The Creation Of A Massive Yandere Following". And it is also pretty similar to "Pick Me Up!" (Infinite Gacha) novel which has the same settings other than romance/yanderes and that novel being extremely cutthroat. Both of these also have manga/manhua available to read.

This story was a bit frustrating to read at times, while other times I constantly bring up a smile or laugh. Though this is a Korean novel, the MC has the personality of a weak-minded virg*n Japanese protagonist. It is very annoying to deal with at times. The other Yandere novel it is similar to also suffers the same problems, but I'd argue the other one was a bit better due to more plot and it pushed the yandere elements farther. And this is why I can't give it 5 stars (more of jpn styled fluff added rather than the comparison, even other novel didn't give 5 stars).

The yanderes in this novel also feel copy pasted with only different backgrounds and outer appearance/ race. This is also why I preferred the other yandere novel more as they possessed some unique characteristics for the most part.

This novel fully depends on the yandere elements, but never pushes it too far. The other writing elements are lacking and less developed. Side characters aren't even interacted with unless necessary. The main plot of the story is only there to serve for fuel. The interactions are all 1 sided, and due to the overpoweredness of the protagonist and his hidden yandere background helping, there is zero tension, zero climax, zero antagonistic developments. Don't get me wrong, it is there, but it lacks any sort of suspense. It is never developed enough, and the solution is always a few sentences away, not to mention we all know they'd easily surpass this "obstacle" anyways.

The interactions of this novel can be summed up to:

MC = op

Response = Wow ❤️~

There are also a few glaring plotholes like
Spoiler

how he never asks his past round table members to directly help him secretly, even with it being glaringly obvious how loyal and yandere they are, but the MC being a JP inspired protagonist just whitelists and ignores it... He never pushes topics any further too when it comes to progressing the true (yandere) plots.

[collapse]

Despite these bits, I can't not recommend this, as although it's likely just a niche fetish I have, good written yandere / obsessive stories, make for a good and funny read. When I come across them, most of them I tried are written too horribly where it devolves into a jpn isekai harem novel, but at least so far, this novel has somehow not self destructed with the harem elements, which to me means the author cares about their story. Though it's more likely he cares about his yandere fantasy rather than the story itself... seeing the lack of overreaching plot developments and zero foreshadow

Spoiler

Though to be fair there was one instance so far of there beinf a mysterious hidden plot in the background, though the way it was written about was a complete utter failure of story writing. BTW there has been zero explanation nor has the MC even pondered on why he came to the game world nor wishes to potentially go back. And again, as I am trying to point out, this novel is solely for the yandere aspects. The easily achieved territory building and "main plot" are really just fluff content to break apart the author's yandere events in my opiniong tbh.

[collapse]

This novel honestly deserves 3 ☆☆☆ if it wasn't for the yandere aspects hard carrying it <<less

The story is so good with only one short coming the MC isn’t developing. Everything around him is growing and moving but the MC is quite stuck with the mentality that the mechanics of the world he is in is same with the game rather than a real one. Though there is a good reason that he can’t help having such a lens when looking through the world, as he hasn’t lost the game interface/ status window and how he interacts with world seems tied with it. It still is... more>> frustrating to read. <<less

I'm not a person who dines on fine cuisine, novels, but the ending does really leave you off on a bad note. Not because it's bad or anything, but because the author rushed it. Author locked themself into a ending when they put a timer on a certain object, and also when they did a certain something and yadadada it involved that certain thing I was talking about.

it ended way too soon, the characters and world weren't developed enough and there was too much going on at the end that wasn't explained fully or in a way that could be digested casually and interestingly. Author also made some plot points that were never used but I can't complain too much since the author does acknowledge this at the end transcript and does intend to somewhat fix it by fleshing out the characters... in another novel though...

[collapse]

I did enjoy this novel however, but the ending did leave a disappointing taste in my mouth, dropping my 8/10 stars to a 6.

it's a good ending, but I just wanted more...
