The book is extremely well-thought out. The power ranking is extremely unique and there's plenty of twists that left me surprised. The main characters -- as well as the villains -- are intelligent. Unlike many novels on this website who have you scratching your head as you watch their questionable decisions, these characters feel real. The cherry on top for this novel was that the deities in this novel truly behave like ascended beings. In many novels, you'll have deities that behave like typical third-rate villains that shout "YOU DARE" or something cringe. The deities truly behave as unfathomable horrors. Amazing foreshadowing throughout the novel. Peak fiction, heavily recommend.  <<less

This is true (just read the synopsis), the mc is extremely calculative to the point of being downright evil at times. It's up to you whether or not you enjoy that kind of mc but I will say that the plot is very good. Very good plot and probably one of the best power systems I have seen. Beautiful writing. Has very emotional moments which was unexpected coming from this novel. Heavily recommend.

In my opinion, I couldn't get past the part when the MC gets turned into an undead zombie. It was just perma tension for 50+ chapters. I think the author should've had a more balanced approach with a blend of tension and relief; unfortunately, it was just straight up tension which wasn't done very well imo. Not for me personally but definitely give it a try.  <<less

Still pretty early to tell, but so far I have really enjoyed this novel. A lot of mystery with the MC's identity. 

Not a fan of the end, but everything else was fine. Good plot. 

World hopping + fantasy

This might be one of my hot takes. Same author as Way of the Devil. Another world hopping novel. I think the author really encapsulates... more>> the melancholy passing of time well. There were plenty of times throughout the novel where the MC reached the pinnacle of the world he was in currently and all his colleagues/friends/enemies got old or passed away. There's also badass moments which made this novel memorable.  <<less

Hidden gem. MC finds something that allows him to be a God-figure to a civilization in his backyard. 

Unique and amazing plot. Heavily recommend.
