This is Omegaverse but it’s kinda low key and the romance is very slowburn - first kiss isnt until the 300s and more than that in ch 400+. It isn’t an excuse to write gay smut but actually a relevant plot device and how society adapts to secondary genders manifesting.

The environment is very western fantasy w nobility set in an empire

The story is about Yuder, a character who has overpowered elemental abilities and was the leader of an ability corps under the order of the emperor. The main lead (Kishiar) is the archduke of the empire who used to be the leader of the ability corps but due to health reasons retired and eventually yuder killed him under the orders of the emperor. After the emperor decides Yuder also needs to be killed, yuder dies and then time travels to the past just before he joins the corps. One of his regrets was killing Kishiar in his last life so he wants to save kishiar in this life and get his help to stop tragic end-of-the-world stuff that was happening in the last life. 

Would recommend if you like fantasy fix-its, long epic plots and world building, and power couples who are more emotionally mature  <<less
