I was actually surprised when I see the tag shounen-ai there, since my radar didn’t picked up any BL signal from this novel. Well, until I realized the tag and let my imagination roam free. An interesting, somewhat cute fantasy adventure novel--at least, that's my take on it. Better yet, it's funny; I broke out laughing more than once when reading it. There is a potential for romance, but nothing has been realized--yet. At the very least, I expect any romance to have a slow and steady development instead of sudden and illogical (a huge turn-off for me).

With a fantastically endearing crew of characters we are placed within an adventure plot with a healthy dose of mystery about our MC's past. The tone is very charming and light hearted but provides some depth through meaningful character studies (I may or may not have teared up in Shelly's arc........). I went over the first few chapters and its a decent read with romance as a sub-plot all I can say really is just avoid it if you dislike shounen-ai and Bl elements. I myself have stop reading just because I tend to get bored with reaction novels and this one is kinda like one where you have a person reacting to the changes in time.
