There once lived a pair of close twins. Although they were so different, their friendship pleased their parents, and the two sisters always cared for each other deeply.

I was a bit dissapointed about the ML, how can a man be so s*upid... also the ending could have been better, some side stories were better to read upfront... but I liked the FL.

I loveeed the FL. She is sooo smart and strong!!!

The ML is not that great... but in the end he is kind of cute, so he makes up for it a little bit....

This is not a good romance book. However, I enjoyed this book because I loved following the MC. She is strong and her characterization and how she deals with everything that's thrown at her is enjoyable to read. Some parts were a bit nonsensical, like she just "happens" to know certain knowledge that gets her through things, but she is not a Mary Sue character. She goes through her changes throughout the book and reflects.

Part of the reason why I like it is because I really liked the writing style.... more>> It's just the right amount of descriptive and builds and releases tension well. I enjoyed it enough to binge it all within two days.

That said, this novel definitely has some flaws.

  • The villain looks smart at first, but she quickly becomes crazy. This makes sense story-wise, but I wish the author showed more of her downward spiral instead of her just being crazy and tricking the ML from the very beginning.
  • The romance is really told, not shown, but at least it's a slow burn instead of a sudden change of heart. Again, would not recommend this as a romance book.

One of the best korean redemption novel I ever read.

The story really neat and clean, not too many character. The conflict is clear. And the relationship development between Lucio and Rizi is develop well.

Can I just say I LOVE THE FL SO MUCH! She's the b*tch. Anyway, at this point, I still don't really have much care about the emperor. But I'm really curious about his past. Also, although the ML is unlikable, he's much better than other emperors or kings of his kind in some novels. Oh well, as long as the FL gets her happy ending, anything will be fine.

A must read ! I. LOVE. IT !

We have a really well built FL, strong, mature, sensitive but not a poor-little-thing ; Our ML has a mommy issue (as always, you know what I mean... ;)) but at least, he's not violent... just so fuc*ing s*upid but he seems to be on the redemption road - after all, in the 2d chance stories, we can enjoy the antagonist fall !

i think this is why it's compared to RE. And yes, it's the same translator (finish what was started, well translated,... more>> regular updates - big up to Crystal!) <<less
