Authors need to give readers a break from the tension. I'm 51 chapters in and it's an impossibly frustrating, depressing situation for Gris the entire time, and I'm so over it. Do so many women really get hot and bothered over literal psychopathic sadists? Every man in this story is the worst human being ever. Ick.

No rating because my feelings are too mixed.

I like that the FL is a realistic portrayal of a complex trauma survivor, who is still just trying to survive. As the reader, I want her to feel better about herself, but I think her portrayal is more realistic than her being highly confident. She hasn't even had an opportunity to start healing from her past because she's just trying to stay above water.

On the other hand, ML is a bit of a psychopath. I was hoping it was intentionally misleading at... more>> first, but I think he might be past redemption. He crosses some serious boundaries and seems to enjoy terrorizing the already traumatized FL.

Either way, I hope someone picks this up to finish the translation because I can't find the rest anywhere. Despite my serious reservations about the ML, I'm invested in seeing where the plot winds up. <<less

I meeeean... I don't want to be too harsh but bloody hell mate, what is wrong with all characters here?

I can understand MC being meek, she lived in a brothel since childhood where they treated ppl like tr*sh, so she just choose to protect herself that way. This doesn't change the fact that she's a literal doormat, a scaredy-cat, "ooh~~ don't step on this pretty grass or I'll straight up cry~~ UwU" kinda naive (?) brat, blushes like a maiden every damn minute, and has nothing going beside her big... more>> tits.

Look, the part of the reason that I wanted to read this one was that MC came from a brothel alright? I thought we were gonna delve into sum darker themes with a MC that's this close to giving up her life + a man who's thirsty for her body and such. Turns out, SHE WASN'T EVEN A PROSTITUTE TO BEGIN WITH AND THE MOST ANGSTY sh*t WE GOTTA DEAL WITH IS HER BEING MISTAKEN AS SUCH. Oh man, in freaking 9 years you would have seen more than enough filth and desire, why is she acting like a sheltered young miss?

And also that misunderstanding part (it was natural that he misunderstood her tbh, I don't believe her whilst knowing the truth lmao)... By whom, you may ask. It's the f*cking ML obv.

Our ML is a man amongst men, a soaring dragon amongst pitiful snakes. He has the looks, the money, the power, the beauties- Well not that one, considering how thirsty he is for MC chick here.

Seriously, I think ML is bipolar. One moment he's ready to give a whole world to her, the next moment acts like he doesn't even know her... Weird.

Anyways, this novel falls in the chara department real bad, I followed the plot half heartedly since I disliked em all. <<less

One thing I just noticed, it was written very narratively that I think the whole story could fit into two books alone. No complaints on narration tho. But over all my $15 arent wasted. Right amount of darkness and angst and I love it!!!!!

FEMALE LEAD - a royalty humbled by continues life shts and hardships shes been into. I could cry for her genuine sole wish of seeing a person unknown (yo!! unknowingly hes the male lead!!) and made it as sole source of force to keep going. Very admirable, strong (mentalitity and will to survive). Claps for the author giving her time to shine as character at very end!

MALE LEAD bruh, you judge the guy... I could understand if you will have bad label for this one during the first two books but yeah..... wait for hes POV anyway. He deserve some punch btw but well.... forgiven! He is the soul life force of FL and thank goodness for beeing such! The cute young love story.... one of my fav part!

So he knows she isnt her sister the very moment he sees her but let and wait to find solid proof or baiting the Uncle. I could understand the treatment but the woman has to attend hes s*xual needs in fear (bcs the dude has it hard to grasp and in denial of fact that he is IN LOVE with the female lead knowing HE SWORE HE WILL ONLY LOVE hes suppose to be DEAD WIFE (he never once felt any attraction towards anyone after hes young wife and got surprise by sudden appearance of this sister that slowly destroying the walls he thinks will NEVER fall) WHOM TURNS OUT THE SAME WITH THE FEMALE LEAD TOO!!! YOU ARENT CHEATING BROTHER!!! YOU ARE JUST BLIND!! Yoo! THEY ARE THE SAME WOMAN!! mtfs so much turns and twist, YUUUH!

On a note you want them to just be together, and then you'll get dissappointed and here comes the revelation and misunderstanding then dang all became chaotic and stuff and my ass be like HOWLLD ONN I CANT f*ckING STOP READING THESSS!!! Can't blame her character build up but I was so wanting her to fight and do more and then heres the last book. Another very satisfying part!! A mix if me wanting to drop the story in anxiety but thank god the author did not forget to give her time to shine as a character. SO SATIFYING OUR CRYBABY MADE HER COMEBACK! I loveddd!!!!

THE GRANDMA - I thought all grandmas are angel.... bruh, this woman right here deserve some of my punches at some point too! SHE IS A VILLAIN (in my eyes) dressed in gold in this story other than the iluminati fake family (they arent one btw) ! The only difference is cult guys are pure evil in constitution and all. Re/ she deserve MORE punishment than what she got in ending.

LASTLY, BRUH, NO SNUSNU UNTIL 2ND BOOK 😩 honestly....... but the twist and revelations was fine that would make you wanna throw your phones at igitations and like "wtf"!!! Good thing I was given a very satisfying "ahh ahh ahhnn"

I was honestly contemplating buying this one, series of four books and for petes sake its so pricey (atleast for my poor ass) !!!! The story phasing was so slow BUT DAAAANNGGG! ITS WORTH TO READ!!!

Smut/ Yo! if you are waiting for this, be patient its towards the second book (the real smut) and the current chapter not even half of first book lol but yooo satisfying! esp after the misunderstanding and they finally knew each other 10/10

Plot and Quality of writing/You came for smut? bissh this is allot and substantive plot and twist (for smut) !! 10000/10 for making me shock and unpredictable twist esp the grandma!

Then making her vulnerable to the open world. Until she is found by a supporting character (?)

The ML of the story is quite obvious, after reading about him I already knew it was him and by also looking at the cover of the novel (I’m an intellectual!!!) While we don’t know much about him, He seems to be a very cold and quiet person.

The interactions between the characters seem realistic. No one is buttering up to the FL and no one is being a d*ck to her (except for the ML sometimes)

But That also seems very realistic if your sister disappeared years ago and then reappeared...I mean I would be quite suspicious

I am super captivated. The setting is really unique for a translated novel and there are so many mysteries surrounding the ML. The FL is an absolute survivor and I appreciate that about her. The translation is also super smooth and it is updated very consistently. I can't wait for all of the dramatic irony to unfold!!

I don't understand why 5 stars are given here. The main character infuriates me, she has no pride, she was called a who*e more than once, she did not answer them as if agreeing with this for me she was just a s*upid masochist. The so-called duke almost r*ped her, after which she ran away, but she liked it and every time she sees him, she blushes, this is not masochism. If this did not convince you, then I will give another example, he pierced her ears, heating a needle... more>> on the fire, and it hurt, but every time she saw him, she always remembers it and touches her earrings. <<less

I like the way it’s narrated. It doesn’t feel choppy or too fast. So far (c11) it’s just an introduction and how she got to the point described in the very beginning of the synopsis. But we also got a clue about the personality of the most important characters (

I love this! The tension between the two main characters had me feeling some type of way. It is well written and I was very invested in the plot. I enjoy a smut book but I hate when it’s constant and happens too fast. This book will have you begging for a sexy scene because of the great story building and romantic tension.

HOWEVER, it has not been updated in years so read this if you want to be horribly blue balled. IF ANYONE HAS MORE CHAPTERS PLEASE HELP!

It’s slow paced but quite intriguing. Not a lot of personality from the FL but that’s probably because she’s still confused about everything. She’s not annoying, she just feels very lost. The story overall is interesting. I’m curious about the romance that develops and how it evolves into a bigger story arc, since its suggested that this story is full of drama and intrigue. All in all, definitely worth reading. I’m excited for the updates :) translators are doing great work as well! Thank you for that!

I guess that's why I have stopped reading these similar type of imperial or nobility romance webnovels. First the dialogs are so short and the main characters love to speak half truth and vague words, adding a sense of mystery and deliberately irritated the readers and cause anxiety in MC, the more I read, the more frustrated I felt. Okay the nobility have power, lives are like ants in their hands, oooooh they are so mighty and revered.... but through the conversations it felt so pretentious. And MC has the... more>> most eird brain circuit. After she was dragged into this mess, she has to go along with flow, feel anxious all the time, but then out of nowhere she recalls the quote in her country eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth, and sets her goal to find weak ess of the viperman. That's when I lost the last bit of patience and dropped it. <<less

Well, our FL, she's annoying and a pushover. She doesn't even have a though personality for a princess. But I try to understand that she somehow had a trauma. Watching her whole family beheaded in front of her, not everyone can be sane and still be brave. After that she has been ab*sed in brothel so it made her feel masochist toward the ML treatment.

The man in here, the ML and his uncle are proud and cruel people. They think that people life is worthless (the uncle is much worse... more>> when he treat the FL). Their background allowed them to have those personalities, even the real ML sister actually also cruel like them when she's a child.

The reason I persisted to read this despite I'm irritated with FL behavior is because I wanna see the hawt hawt 🙈 scene, but sadly before I get to see some smutty stuff the translator stop translating because of some issue. (Well, wordexcerpt is pretty great doing translating actually, I hope they can continue it.) <<less

This is SUPERB.

The story is laid out at the beginning so you may find it slow but as soon as the MCs reconcile, the story escalates. The romance aspect is good --- not fluffy, it is FIERY. Yup. You may not feel it from the start but you will. Soon.

As more chapters accumulate, it is really good to read how a breeze turns into a scorching [in many ways] kind of story.
