This is one of the few novels that doesn't rely on the transmigration/reincarnation crutches to tell a story with a "historical"-esque setting, while also having a well thought out plot to boot. None of the character meetings are rushed or unrealistic and the round personalities are also interesting!

The translators are great as always :> bless wordexcerpt quality

Kinda sad that many readers have voted for less than 3 stars but well it's their choice.

For me it's 5 cause I'm here for the angst of a relationship that they shouldn't have despite wanting it to happen. 👀

I love the way the author wrote their words and actions just that I also hate some characters but that's their aim so guess they got us.

It's very well translated, but the story has barely moved at all even up to the 75 chapter.

I like the setting and the characters, I think they're well developed and have enough secrets to keep you intrigued and see what's the truth, but it's too slow paced for my liking.

I don't think the FL is a pushover, more like the situation makes it hard for her to fight back even when she wants to.

I don't find the ML overtly sadistic, compared to other novels. It's a lot more about his... more>> stares and intentions than actual actions.

I hope the novel moves quicker soon, but for now I find it way too slow even for a slow burn. <<less

I love this. This is the first novel I read from here. Sure, the story is slow burn and it might take a loooong time before the spicy scenes but I think the story telling is good and It makes someone excited for the next one. Also, the interaction between the lead characters are intriguing and it keeps me on my toes. Now, I can't wait to read the future releases. For now, this is a 5 star for me.

The tension building of the plot is on point. The translation is top notch! You can feel the s*xual tension from the characters yet the author finds the right moment to release the intended explicit scenes in later chapters.

I am not really comvinced yet as to why the MC is considered as M. Maybe in later chapters I will be resolved with my confusion. In contrast I feel so creepy with the ML'S obsession and atypical personality. Can't wait for more chapters to beleased!!
