I, Kang Woojin, was quitting my design work and became a jobless person. The next day, my friend took me to auditions and I was forced to perform.

As i was given a script, the void space appeared in my mind and forced me to relive the character.

I got stabbed. Became a serial killer. Became an Exorcist.

As I become an actor, the misunderstandings keeps growing day by day.

It's pretty good. Game system combined with the entertainment industry trope and a nice little convenient misunderstandings lead to a pretty chill and fun read. It delivers on its premise. Read it

It is lacking in the interpersonal relationships department, I think this is both because of the MC's "concept, " but also because that isn't really the focus of the story. Instead, the focus is on the showbiz, but more excitingly, the acting, I love the acting, like, seriously seriously. All of the other bits are good and don't drag the work down, but the best parts to read and enjoy are when the author/translator cut loose with the vocab and the imagery becomes vivid.

This work has the obligatory reactions of... more>> people around the MC, because he is truly broken, but the author turns this into a selling point by giving the side characters the opportunities to make their own conjectures and assumptions about why or how MC is doing things, which is often played for comedy. <<less

While the intent behind the complex narratives in this novel is admirable in its attempt to capture the chaos of real life, the execution unfortunately leaves the reader feeling confused and overwhelmed. There are simply too many characters and subplots to juggle at once without losing track of critical details. Just when I would become invested in one storyline, the narration would abruptly shift to a different storyline across the globe dealing with entirely unrelated issues. These constant narrative jumps made it challenging to feel grounded in any one plot... more>> line or connect deeply with any of the characters.

I respect the author's ambition to construct a story as messy and packed with activity as real life, but most readers look to fiction for some narrative cohesion and consistency. Having a few key story arcs explore different themes or character journeys can work well, but this novel bites off more than it can chew with seven or eight meandering threads that never tie together in a satisfying way. Perhaps restricting the story to focus more deeply on fewer events would make for a more cohesive reading experience. As it stands, there is so much happening on every page that by the end I struggled to recall key details or how certain subplots had been resolved. While authentic, the all-over-the-place approach to storytelling here is more frustrating than engaging. <<less

Translation is nauseating to read.

Back in the Cafe. The director was reading the new script notccarriag about constant buzzing. Once he was done, he stopped tapping the table and picked up the phone

"hello"

The above is what any sensible people would write.

But this story

> In a Cafe, a man was sitting. It was director sun. His fingers were tapping the table making a *tap* *tap* *tap* notice.

> He was reading the the script that has been written again. *bzzzz* bzzzzz* He was ignoring his phone. Because he was fully deeply going through the newly written script page by page.

> He could no longer ignore the ringing so he picked up the phone. He attended the call and said "hello"

Like, who the.. who writes like that? Ai could tighten & improve phrases like this by a 1000% this what ai is for. Please use it. The concept & content & scenes are great. And the fact you are talking the time to translate it is beyond beautiful. But... it would be perfect if you took the small effort to make it read/flow better. & remove the junk words & paragraphs

It's quite a fun read. Funny how he tried to straighten up some things but it kept getting south and the misunderstanding just kept going lol, now he has given up and just let people continue to misunderstand. My only problem with this series is the pacing. For me it's too slow and too many things going on happened in the same time i.e he's working like up to 4-5 projects in the same time, it's making me confused sometimes. There's this movie he'll be starring in mentioned below chapter... more>> 100 and finally hit the theatre at chapter 250+, truly the payoff is way too long for me to be satisfied. It feels like the author just try to prolong it for details and such but sorry it's way too much and I couldn't care less as I know everything MC does will go well. This makes me skip a whole bunch of chapters that just contained the dialogue when shooting, as it doesn't really affect anything. The progression is also getting monotonous as it keeps going, it goes from MC take the script + learn with his subspace and getting the skills needed + shooting the scene and people will be amazed + hits the theatre and audience will go crazy, rinse and repeat. Overall it's still a fun read when you're bored, but I think it's not the type of novel that I will read from chapter 1 again once it's finished. <<less

Fun entertainment power fantasy with goofy misunderstandings. Good TL, too.

It's not the most involved story. Conflicts are handily resolved (when a conflict can be found), and the plot mostly revolves around 1) MC doing a stellar job acting and 2) everyone in shock or inspired by him, but whatever, it's comfort food. I got what I wanted out of this and I enjoy the updates. I totally understand how that wouldn't jive with other people, though, and objectively the story's closer to 2.5 stars. I just like misunderstandings a whole... more>> lot.

Knocked off a star for the weird nationalism. (Edit from the future: a lot of the concerns I had in this paragraph eventually taper off. Edit 2: LOL NEVERMIND I hadn't reached the part with the Chinese actors, this is nationalist af) There's an author and a director that are both Japanese, and every time they have a scene they always mention how Japan lags behind Korea in acting, dramas, whatever and how Korea is better. <<less

It's good.

The main character persona is quite established and interesting. His power, while underutilized (because screen time) is also intriguing

but... the only weakness I see in this novel is... other character beside MC. While there is other PoV to see how amazing MC is, but their character need some more building. While I said that but its only been 74 chap for me so let's hope for the best

A fun, slice of life story. There's really only one joke "Everyone looked at Kang Woojin thinking seeiously. 'He must be practicing his role.' Meanwhile Kang Woojin, 'I really want to fart'."

But the story doesn’t take itself seriously, like Kang Woojin doesn’t either, so it's still enjoyable.

The side characters are more interesting really.

Woojin is so freakin funny! I love MC's personality and his public persona. Just thinking about it, it honestly makes me wanna laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, but at some point, the plot is a bit on repeat, tho subtle.

Spoiler

Woojin would pick up scripts, learn a skill or two, participate in drama/variety shows, then surprise the masses while trying hard to act calm and collected. Rinse and repeat.

The one that makes me cringe so much is the female character Hong Hye-yeon. This is just a personal opinion, but like idk its like the author seems trying so hard to make her the female lead for the MC but they got no chemistry. AT ALL. I can't really see it. All I see is a fanboy and an actress having delusion on her co-worker.

[collapse]

The English grammar is good and very understandable that it makes me s**ked into it, but the transition. Man, half the time I was like "Wait, I thought Woojin was still on the shooting field????"

Overall, the story is fun, the main character and his piling misunderstanding are great comedic, I love the side characters (especially the PDs and directors) it's very interesting (Except for Hong Hye-yeon). I don't know how will this progress
Spoiler

I'm at the part where MC's sister is at the fanmeet as representative/leader of all Woojin's fans.

The story is fun until now. The way it described is so vivid that I can see it like it's a movie. A good story even if there some loop hole but I'm waiting for there write to cover or finish it. It worth your time to read it. Hope it won't put a bad to destroy the good beginning.
