I thought I wouldn't like it because I don't know anything about gaming, but this is great. The two main characters were both hilarious, refreshing, and sweet, and they were OP (in different ways) without it feeling pointless to keep reading. Translation and plot were also good, overall I think it's a good novel to pass the time.

Fully translated CN gaming BL novels are super rare to come across so I definitely had to read this. I'm glad to say this has become one of my favourite novels so far. I've already re-read this 3 times.

First of all, I have to compliment the author's idea of making their dynamic in such a manner because for most novels I've seen, the gong is the one who is the most op (and usually the captain of a pro-gaming team. However for this novel, ... more>>

it's a relationship between 2 ordinary, devastatingly gorgeous college students. One is rich, smart and hardworking, while the other is such a big mood because he is so lazy. Furthermore, it's very unclear at the beginning who is the gong (I had an inkling, but I hoped to see switching LOL), and the only reason why MC bottomed was because he was too scared to put it in smh.

In addition, this novel is very lighthearted and fluffy, and all the side characters are quite lovable. There is barely any major conflict, and conflicts only arise when there are some misunderstandings or the ML does something s*upid.

Major points in my opinion:

    • subversive to stereotype, MC is rich daddy and ML is the big sugar baby and not vice versa
    • no feminization where the MC is delicate and beautiful till it ridiculously approaches feminine standards. They are both tall and have some semblance of manliness hahaha. (ML I'm looking at you)
    • their relationship is quite equal, I feel, because they fell in love gradually and rather naturally.
    • moan.
However, I do have some complaints:

    • they are too good looking that I just can't accept it. I know that in most CN novels, they like their characters drop-dead gorgeous, but the fact that these 2 don't seem to have flaws other than one being rather stiff and the other being too lazy and shameless, that's it. But I do understand that it's all fiction and every reader likes to fantasise about hot characters and I completely do too.
    • The other being gaming descriptions. They get rather repetitive, and as an avid gamer, I want to see variation. Sadly, this doesn't deliver. Compared to other some other novels I've read, this is quite blase. I was quite disappointed
    • What happened to boxing? I know it's not the focus but this disappeared.
Despite these drawbacks, this was my guilty pleasure and I do love it. [Note again: I reread this 3 times]

I love MC and ML to pieces they are my children and yes I am a 'mom' fan. Even if you want to criticise the flaws, and sometimes illogical situations and plots, to pieces like black fan Shen Q*ngqiu, note that this is a purely fictional work and is not meant to reflect reality because in reality, we will not have hot gaming anchors turning up in our lives and falling in love with our op gaming skills </3

Other than that, hiGHly recommended to read if you want to die from fluff or from laughter :D <<less

I truly enjoyed this book where it overturned almost every single couple stereotype present there.

MC is the cold, boxer, rich second gen kid with a loyal dog gong who is shameless beyond expectations. The novel was written beautifully and the translator did a great job. The plot was fast paced and the characters were humorous. The supporting leads were relatable which made the experience truly refreshing.

Now some may be wondering I gave it 4 stars, It was because of the traits of the MC and ML... I don't if this... more>> is a valid reason for making it 4 star but yeah.

The MC is wayy too outstanding - Like anything he does will give the best results. Because of this I couldn't particularly relate with the MC. And MC and ML were said to be way too HANDSOME (Yes, I am being petty). In most novels, main characters are said to be the most beautiful person but here, I felt like the author kept bringing it up way to much.

The MC and ML's families are hilarious without any h*mophobia which makes it a refreshing read. So yeah, I do suggest to read this book because it truly is quiet good. <<less

I can only say that it's been an amazing experience reading this, I really like the plot how it connects to each of their problems

Both of our MC and ML I really like their interactions. I couldn't really stop laughing to ML's shamelessness. The side characters was really good, how normal they interact to situations.

The familys were really supporting like the MC family's was really supportive of their relationship, making sure that ML will not hurt him or if his staying with him. I like how the MC was straightforward... more>> about his relationship to his parents was because he's not one of those MCs who would only keep his thoughts to his mind while misunderstanding the ML.

The fluff was full of sweets, I know the MC is tsundere because even though he would reject ML's actions, he would think about it and sooner or later he'd say yes to him. Whenever the MC would get jealous, he'd first confront the ML in a low voice and and ML would hear it and he would tease him, it's really cute, even when both of them would get jealous it's really cute. <<less

A really sweet n funny story. Will make you laugh n make you wish to have relationships like them. I really wish to be with someone like liang liang. There’s so much dog food n the misunderstanding was fast to be clear, it wasn’t heavy to begin with more like funny misunderstandings. If you want to read a light n sweet story that make u laugh n wishing for relationship then please try this story.

This is one of my all-time favourite, it is so fluffy and adorable. Kang Shengzhen and You Liangxing's shenanigans have brightened my days and will hopefully do so for you if you read their story!

10/10 would recommend.

This is my first time reviewing here in nvlupdates and created solely just to review this goddamn fantastic novel. So this is just so adorable ㅠ.ㅠ I usually don't read novels that aren't completed and I'm not so loyal to wait for updates, Usually I wait for it to be completely translated but this changed me ughh I diligently stayed up every 12 for the updates bcoz this is just so adorable! So not much drama and just pure fluff.

Every" chapter you cant help but smile bcoz ML and MC,... more>> and also die from ML's shamelessness \ (^^) /

Me: Imagining LiangLiang as Himuro and Shengze as Murasakibara that is both from KNB. This is actually the first novel I read that have a ML or a certain character that is over 2 meter tall! At first, okay he's at the height of Hyakuzawa from Haikyuu but the further I read, Ah Sheng's character fits more of Murasakibara. (He also have quite a long hair)

PS. Just using Himuro and Murasakibara (IMAGE) for my imagination! This review is not helpful~ Just saying what I think right now lol.

I don't like writing reviews or reading gamer novels because I don't know the terms, but this is honestly a really great read.

As some other reviewers mentioned, there are a lot of gamer terms and it can be a lot, but if you can ignore/read past that, there's really a lot of great content (it's definitely worth it).

My favorite part is that there really isn't much emphasis on who's MC and who's ML. The MC is honestly more of the OP ML type who's great at everything and the ML... more>> is this shameless lazy golden retriever-esque character. The novel instead focuses on the build up of their relationship from strangers to acquaintances who game together to friends and then more.

There's also some funny side characters who add to the wholesomeness of this novel. <<less

I love it to bits. As a gamer, the terms are so easy to understand. Esp if you play LOL or Mobile Legends. The fluff and meng is to die for. ML and MC interactions are cute even when they're mostly online for the most part. Translator is super awesome for accurately naming and translating terms too so I highly recommend this

Haven't started it yet but sounds interesting. Got a couple questions about summary though. In the part - he contributed a voice that was capable of splitting heaven and earth, “Don’t BB.” - Since MC is shouting shouldn't it be "Don't BB!" or "DON'T BB!" as a period is rather calm while an exclamation point is indicating how fired up he is? Also, what does BB mean? Tried looking it up and got the meanings Bye Bye, BaBy, and in a s*xual meaning BareBack, with none seeming to match the... more>> situation. Or is BB referring to a Chinese word/term that didn't translate well or should've been translated from the Chinese lingo to the English equivalent? <<less

This novel was so much fun to read! I laughed out loud multiple times, and I absolutely adored the relationship between the MC and ML It was refreshing to see a couple free from toxic gender roles where most of danmei have when they treat the shou as he was women, Their coming-out to their parents was also handled beautifully. Overall, I had a fantastic time reading this book

The relationship between the leads is SO cute, they are both really fun characters to follow in this. And honestly props to the author for not making the gaming segments unbearable, to me usually in this kind of novel it's hard to make gameplay descriptions feel genuine but they did. I think the esports plotting outside the romance was pretty underdeveloped, but if you take this as just a slice of life school romance - honestly, it's perfect, flawless.

Personal enjoyment: 5/5! MC and ML aren’t your typical gong x shou. I would love to read this for the first time again. Just a sucker for when secrets/ true identities unravel and there are just peak comedy moments in here because of that, but also because the MC refrains from speaking and hiding his cute voice from everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve read it but I still remember sooo many scenes from this novel and that’s how you know when a novel is good. Can’t say enough... more>> about this!! <<less

Rlly cute and wholesome. Couldnt imagine the couple in my head but thats my fault (my bad imagination). I would ve liked the MC to be a little bit more emotional and I d like him to change a bit more throughout the story.
How they got together could have been a bit different or at least the time they needed to establish a clear understanding could have been shorter, however eyerything is good as is as well so this minimal criticism isnt that relevant. It was still very enjoyable to read.

Made me long for a relationship like that...

shou could have said that he was an A uni student when they having dinner but he didn't. He said it'll be more fun to see the gong's reaction. Okay I get it. But before that he had a chance to say that his sister is this celeb again he didn't. Also those gaming chaps with gong streaming and interacting with fans, I find some of that unnecessary. Also I almost forgot at the beginning Liang siblings was mentioned, Idk if they will be mentioned again later but if it wasn't that Liang bro and sis really unnecessary. For what to annoy me?

I dont have problem with their personalities. Different from the usual shou and gong. I just wish it was a 'switch' I meant both dont have problem in either gong and shou. It'll be more fun. I would like to see the overbearing ceo top the huge golden retriever 😂

A fun read but not spectacular.

Lots of fluff although they only meet in like the sixtieth chapter. The concepts for the characters stand apart from the other books I've read; the author seems high-key obsessed with heights, practically listed the heights of all the characters, and probably has a voice fetish.

I think the game parts might a bit too hard to follow for people who've never played a MOBA game. The mechanics and how fast the MC learned it was a bit unrealistic--it's impossible to know how a hero works... more>> from just reading their skills, you have to test them to see how big their range is and whether there's a casting delay. Idkk, they also seem to have won every match (except one) even when they solo queue. Not possible.

One thing I wasn't a big fan of was how the MC kept hitting the ML, even accidentally knocked out a tooth. Violence is not cute. Is having a talent for taking beatings and a delayed reaction to pain even a thing?

Overall it's quite engaging though, I binged it in 3 days. It's a good read if you want nothing serious and no big drama. <<less
