Description

Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. After a bizarre kidnapping incident, Chi Qing unexpectedly acquired a mind-reading ability. His personality began to stray further and further away from the norm as he consistently failed his personality tests with: You’ve been classified as someone with a highly dangerous personality.
——Until he met someone he couldn’t read.
Only by that person’s side could he obtain a moment of peace.
Chi Qing had clearly been thinking nothing but “stay away from me,” yet what came out instead was: “…give me your hand. There are lots of cars on the road, I’m scared you might get run over.”
Xie Lin: “…?”

The cases were very intriguing. I could actually follow the cases and make some of my own (albeit incorrect) deductions, since the leap from the hints to the deduction and conclusion aren't as big as some other mystery novels. I do think there are some plot holes, such as the MC's power (origin unknown) and the ML's brother's death, but case wise, there aren't too many big leaps where you'd think that the conclusion is to absurd to be deducted from the clues given. Romance, great! They support each other and help each other improve throughout the novel. They fit each other really well, and notice things about each other that other people don't notice. They respect each other!s boundaries, and overcome them slowly together. One thing they could work on is hiding (plot related) things from each other, but the author handled it well, and I like them even more because of it. They find out by themselves anyways, so no harm done?
(Spoiler of extra - not main plot) Somehow, the ML proposed using a knife? I didn't know whether to cry or to laugh when I read it so I did both
He does not have powers. He doesn't dream about crime scenes or sees in the criminal's pov through the form of a power. He understands a criminal's psychology so well, that he can easily guess the criminals method of mu*der and motives. As such, he can recreate the crime scene perfectly in his head by "fitting" himself inside the role of a mu*derer. It is not his power. I'm sort of stuck in a language loop today so I find it hard to express what I mean, but I hope you get it.
One of the most memorable made up parts was the mental health doctor (no idea what it is in English), who somehow disclosed another patients's confidential to someone else without their consent. I'm staying in a place where there are no mental health "doctors", only "experts", so I'm not exactly sure if it's the same as doctors, but yeah. Also, I'm pretty sure he implied that love (which he referred to as a magic potion) would solve many things (which at the time was implied to be to MC's mysophobia), which is irresponsible as heck.
