The one person that Mo Jingxuan hated more than anyone was Xiao Ying. Loved it 😍!! Though at the beginning the relationship between MC and ML is a bit twisted especially when MC disappear ML goes crazy.

Previous life MC didn't like ML since he was forcefully captive by ML and he also didn't know the true face of the Mo family but if we compare I guess last life is a dog blood story and this life it's sweet text. There are also NSFW scene I read it in MTL so it's not that clear but not bad since there is no omission... more>> of scene expect one where ML goes manic so you know🙃. I liked ML father he was so sweet and caring towards both MC and ML. I wish there was a shipping between ML father and their family Butler. There is time skip and fast pace.

first half was great! but second half......... CRINGY AF! it's like second half was written by a middle schooler.

it's almost looks like this novel has written by two different authors....

anyways still not a bad novel. MC n ML both possessive of each other. ML's obsession is on another level lol.

supporting characters are okay too.

there's not much of story though. just MC and ML world.

This was so brain-dead and absurd that I could sense quite clearly my brain cells withering in real-time as I was forcing myself to finish the whole thing.

Perhaps the only consolation is that it's only 45 chapters long, but even that seems like a trap because by the time I realized how bad it was, I was already 6 feet deep in sunk-cost fallacy.

"Just a few chapters more 'til the end." and "What the hell is this bs?" were my only recurring thoughts about this story even after finishing it.

Where... more>> do I even begin listing out the problems? Let me just say, everything. Everything is the problem. From the problematic relationship, to the treatment of mental illness, to the r*pe, to the very much caricature-like characters and miserably dead plot... even for junk-food fast-food literature, this was bad. <<less

I read the reviews calling this cringe and dived in. I love the corny dog food. But it was truly difficult to read 😬 I almost wished they did not end up together because not only did the story become a bit boring but it was so embarrassing and hard to read.

I usually go into plot, characters, and setting but nothing really happened tbh. It’s a light read that starts off pretty good. I will say the reincarnation part although not explained was relevant to progress of the story and... more>> relationship. <<less

I really liked it, it's a love story but of possessive person as possible. The couple is possessive but really possessive to the point that they cannot separate. A beautiful possessive love story

Very obsessive characters lol😂. Read at your own risk.

It's a good book though. Not the thickest plot but a good one. I won't describe it, just know it's filled with love I guess.

So yeah, if you're looking for a sign to read it, this is it

It's a great story about obsession and possessive love. Usually, ML in these type of stories are scum. They hurt MC physically, but in this ML didn't hurt MC on the other way he was beaten by him. Even though, he wants to lock and tie MC with him. It's story about MC journey, how he understands MC illness and accompanied him in another life. Firstly MC was human in first life then he died and become a wandering soul, then his soul trapped in his own bones. ML died... more>> while clutching MC's bones. And then in 2nd life MC became ml's soul and spent his time till University. Finally he went to his own body, which was lying in the hospital.

Go read it, it's amazing <<less

This was a disaster holy shit. When they said "cringe factor is intense" I didn't think much about it since I presumed it would be fun-cringe, but damn, I will get to that in a moment.

First and firmost, past life chapters, however brief, weren't bad. That's the only compliment I can give besides translation lolololol

I dunno how to describe the bad here but I will try. So, writing style is utterly childish. So much so that it made me crack up a few times but when it spans to 45... more>> chaps it stops being funny. A few examples:

    • 5 y.o ML's encounter with his dad. Man it was so good. The moment he saw himself he started yapping his whole life story and how he loved his mom so much, how his new wife drugged him and made him have a child- drama was off rip really, and he pulled this stunt in front of the school (?) and a helpfull doctor.
    • ML's step mom. No one could get rid of her in the previous life but here in just 3 days she got caught trying to drug dad?? With a sleeping pill that when frequently consumed drives you mad??? Wtf
    • ML and MC's friend that tried to hit on dad?? Out of f*cking nowhere and it lead to nowhere.
    • And honestly, how MC fell for ML is just as funny as those above.

In short, writing style was a mess, fitting for the ded brain novel that it is but still... Nwm, into the plot~~

Biggest trouble our leads are facing comes from their families and nothing less. Mo, Zhen and ML's bro takes turns plotting some sh*t and they keep getting away with it till the very end and I wasn't that satisfied. Tho if author got rid of them earlier, drama here wouldn't be able to support 15 chaps.

And at some point MC falls in love. The end. Dunno why so obsessed, don't care, dunno how MC reincarnated fr jacksh*t gets explained, my joke summary probably helds some truths in it.

Now my fav point to explain: the cringe.

Not even in spoiler tag for f*cks sake, we goin in raw, listen here: they should be charged for public indecency. They make out in front of dad, scratch dad, in front of anybody, anywhere and anytime really. If ML wasn't that jealous, they could very well be swingers. And reading that just made me die inside a little. If ya read, ya know; if ya didn't, don't bother, this burden for us to bear alone.

Man this review is sad, the longer I write the sadder I feel about my wasted time. I was fired up just a minute ago my emotions are thrown in a blender.

I'll lastly mention underlying h*mophobia here, not done by outside either but leads themselves, and dissappear. Deeming sucking c*ck degrading, how any man would want to be the one on top, message that man needed to vent on his lover throgh papappa, and minor examples like that really made me furrow my eyebrows sometimes.

My god there was a paragraph consisting of MCs' thoughts that went like "after raping him, he seemed in a much better mood, I should make sure he doesn't get bored of having s*x with me" and then they f*ck. Mamma mia send help

Yeah I guess that was all? I rushed here as soon as I finished the novel so that I don't forget but even now it gets blurry. I hope my brain erases it.

Oh right, to naive reviewers that think tags are the reason this sh*t gets so low rated whilist saying "certain ppl won't like it", I can only pray their tastes get upgrated or sth because as long as ppl with their opinions exists, this sh*t will be get pumped out. <<less

if u want to rehabilitate ML who had a sick mind from childhood, idk, give him to a family that deserve him??? It shouldnt matter if he wouldnt grow up as a golden spoon millionaire. If it is his fate to become a millionaire, he would probably become one with or without his father's help in the future. If ur unsure abt his future bc its not the path that you went in your last life, stay with him, help him, watch over him. Fym u were in distress bc u didnt know he would have his possessive tendencies again after making him go through the same psychological/emotional ab*se as a child and making him emotionally dependent on you?

also I would want to see MC actually stay in his shadow form for longer. Or maybe acquire his body after thorough COMMUNICATION with each other. Like idk, tell him u didnt know that his body would still be here and is in a coma or whatever and go.

A great read for when you’re in the mood for face-slapping, yandere, and a little bit of ~spice~

Why it’s almost 4 stars:

  • pacing was good, face-slapping novels are usually pretty superficial and enjoyable reads so for a short novel the pacing was on point
  • I can understand other reviewers’ perspective that after Mo Jingxuan (MC) and Xiao Ying (ML) get together, the dog food gets a little cringey and the writer’s voice seems a bit immature at times
  • Still, I really enjoyed the supernatural elements at the beginning and if you’ve seen my review for QWTFOD, you know my weakness for petty, dramatic, badass, karmic-justice-serving power couples <3
  • and if you’ve read literally any other of my reviews you know I read more yandere than any other character type lol I’m here for toxicity
  • loved the side characters, just enough development in this short story for them and they were for the most part unique and engaging to read about (let daddy Xiao get a twink of his own ok he deserves it!!!)
  • sometimes the sm*t cut off at the good part... but I think halfway through the author said “f*ck censorship” and wrote the whole scene anyway (>W<) ~ and we love them for that
