The MC took statue (s) from an auction into his space. It caused the space to upgrade and the statue (s) to glow. I THINK they were a pair, but I'm not certain. It was kept around the pregnant empress as a safety charm until one day it suddenly disappeared from youngest child's room. Extra implies it turned into the child's space. The prince (his future spouse) might have a space too if it was a pair. MC said he would ask empress if the other one disappeared but there was no follow up. We don't get to learn anything about his character since he has so few scenes. I thought the story might show how their actions affect the future, but it doesn't. We also never see any real cultivators in this cultivation world or find out why no one can get pregnant without eating a fruit. We never see a fruit fail, so I'm not sure why males would be less fertile in a world where pregnancy is promoted by a catalyst. We never see anyone growing this fruit even when MC is entrusted agricultural tasks by the emperor. It's a little sus.
I'm most disappointed that we don't get to find out whether Wang Zhisong was able to stick it out and fully reform in the military camp.
This novel starts nice, but as it progresses to the end it its becoming more and more annoying ? Weird? First of all, the MC is a transmigator for modern times to ancient parallel world. He is a male wife (not a ger! its a different take) , so he as a modern man takes quick action with establishing boundaries while face slapping all that wronged him. Great ! Good even, those people deserved it. But then, we have the same thing again and again with the same people that the MC and ML supposedly, separated from. In essence, we have the whole trope of separating families, but for some reason, this trope doesn't work here. The ML not once or twice, but 4, I think, does his last filial duty and I keep wondering if separating families was such a big thing, then how can it be disregarded in this story? Its contradictory to all the other stories I ve read with this storyline. Next, we have the language used in the novel. I'm sure it's not the translator as their work is excellent, but I always find it annoying when modern language is used in different eras as it really doesn't make sense. After that, although I don't know a lot about autism the author could have explained the recovery or the issue with the kid a little bit better and not used a disability this way. Then we have the whole thing that women are vicious and are not able to be objective etc etc. Plus, his daughter only has to be pretty and do nothing else. Again the author contradicts themselves because at the beginning he was like she doesnt have to marry and she can be a businesswoman etc etc... After which, we have the engagement of the two kids, which while I understand that in the setting of this world, children can get marry early, for me it was a little bit weird (she was only five) although I caught on early where it was going. The whole woman - man thing really was unexpected because the author has some good woman side characters. The Zumo relationship didn't bother me, although I would have preferred if he was paired with some other character that I got to know better. A thing that I liked was the ML gets to learn of his past quite early on, as it creates IMO a good bond between the MC and the ML. Lastly, I feel like its not "realistic" (yeah I know what am I talking about in fiction) how the MC deals with his enterprises. He brings forth modern topics, products etc, but the foundation is weak and it shouldn't actually work in such a small time period he tried to do these things. If it have been in a span of years it would have been more believable and more understandable. I was actually planning to read it again, but as I'm nearing the 200 ch I'm not so keen to do it again.
