The moment the little tyrant of the nobles, Roel Ascart, saw his stepsister, he recalled his memories. He realized that he was in the world of a gal game he played in his previous life. To make things worse, he was the greatest villain in the common route of the game!

“I’ll be killed by the main character and the four capture targets ten years from now. Is there still any hope for me?”

Just thinking about the fearsome glints of those sharp swords those beautiful capture targets held in their hands, Roel couldn’t help but tremble in fear.

Till a voice finally sounded in his head.

Another overrated tr*sh novel on this site, don’t read this bs the Mac and his harem are all little kids and 200 chapters amounts to less than one year, if your expecting to see the Mac develop and grow older you won’t, this is just shounen wish fulfillment for little kids and pedos

I don't think the novel is as bad as what other people say. Indeed, the characterization in the novel seems clichéd, but in my opinion it is because the setting is in the form of a galge world, so it makes sense considering the character of the heroines.

Those girls they are still a noble of the country's leader which makes it difficult for them to meet MC so I understand why they are quite crazy when they meet MC considering the many rivals.
I know that nobles can be polygamous, if according to aritocratic rules it is quite difficult for a marques to marry the highest nobles (royal families and the like) in each different country. Make them try to get rid of their rivals.

for MC himself, he was impressed beta MC because he was previously also a college student who never fell in love so it still makes sense.

for the story plot, at the beginning of the arc there will be a little bit of MC's efforts to remove his death flag and to open up his talents a little. For the story in each arc briefly will contain MC meeting heroine, which begins with not getting along well, and after going through various events finally the heroine will fall in love with MC, after that MC will go into a weak state and there will be a little fight between heroines fighting over MC before going into the next arc.

for mc's passive nature for love, eventually there will also be a slight change after the MC makes the four heroines fall in love.

I feel that this story is suitable for someone who likes beta and harem MC. And this story is not suitable for someone who likes MC that focuses on one heroine.

A very well written novel, the attempt of the author for writing a Xianxia novel with a magic based power background. The actions scene's are exiting and gets your blood pumping.

The interaction between the harem members is comedic and it's not like the typical Chinese novel where the IQ of the harem members just drop to zero while following the MC. They have their own character development and power growth.

The plot and the world-building is well written. Honestly, I really enjoyed this novel hope others also enjoy it as well.

if you want to read about a s*upid (not dense) MC then go ahead. This is actually about a boy (12yrs old at the moment) and many girls (12 and below) flirting with each other.

after reading so far, I think that's the closest description about it.

the sequence is:

Spoiler

1 see new girl

2 MC plans to be just in a good term with the girl

3 accident happens

4 girl becomes obsessed with mc

5 repeat

[collapse]

it started nice but it becomes predictable. And the MC is becoming more brainless as more girls comes to him.

it's just pathetic.

I tried to see if something would change but sadly got bored.

For those who want to read this novel after being enticed by its tags and/or rating, beware:

-The main character behaves like your average japanese beta male lead (even though he has the soul of a grown up)

-The plot feels completely forced and you can see things coming from a mile away

... more>> -The author is obsessed with infodumping, so expect infodumps in almost every chapter

I won't force myself to pretend I'm enjoying this after reaching the point of skimming through chapters, I have to stop assuming that a novel will be worthy of my time just because of the tags and novel rating combo. (Highly misleading btw) <<less

What is wrong with the people on this site? I am absolutely astounded that this has above a 4 Star rating. This is such an incredibly uninteresting set of characters based off of the most tired of cliches.

There is no redeeming qualities among the cast members from the beginning up until chapter 166- as soon as a female cast member seems to be of interest, they immediately fall into step with the MC, as is tradition. The displayed combat has been uninteresting besides the literal first battle scene the scene... more>> where no one was yet able to use their respectivr origin power. This is aggressively mediocre.

At the time of reading this the series is rated 4.2 stars. I'm a glutton for punishment, and read pretty fast, so ill stick it out and see if this improves whatsoever. As of right now, I can't see what others see in this, and I've read quite a few web novels, from good to garbage. Eck. <<less

I'm amazed by how this novel keeps steadily rolling downhill. At this point it's not far off before it becomes another Japanese novel clone. Smart yet utterly dense (romance-wise) MC? Check. Female characters hopelessly in love with MC but all of them are in an ambiguous relationship of "more than friends, less than lovers"? Check. Beta MC who couldn't do anything against these harem members at the sight of a (fake) teardrop? Check. Heroines who do whatever they want with the MC and him not saying anything at all? Check.... more>> I'm disappointed in the author for deciding to cop-out on this novel. <<less

I read till about chapter 200 and then dropped it. Everything was interesting with characters being fleshed out well and the idiosyncrasies of politics being well constructed in the fictional world. The characteristic that drove me away was the relationships the MC, Roel, has with all the capture targets.

The relationship from girls side makes more sense as Roel aides or provides them a psychological support that they were severely lacking in, so it would make sense for them to love the MC or, at the very least, develop romantic feelings.... more>> My problem stems from how Roel seems to be incapable of seeing issues in the girl's behavior and being quite wish-washy when the setting demands a level of seriousness.

Spoiler

An example of such would be any interaction involving Alicia for the most part. Roel has an unstable sister and he needs to keep her stable, especially has he can meet his death, so I ignored to senselessness in the beginning as I thought to myself, "She NEEDS to be taken care of as a family member". I dropped the book when around chapter 200 Roel needs to go on a quest on his own and Alicia sneaks in which directly contradicted what he asked of her. He ended up just forgiving her and in the process sullied his reputation. This also occurred when Charlotte kidnapped him, but he got paid off so it was possible to ignore then as well. Nora is the only relationship that seems to have any push or pull where Nora tries to force things on Roel and he actually pushes back on her desires.

[collapse]

Novels that are based upon otome games I usually hold to a higher standard when it comes to relationships as they are the core issue the protagonist needs to handle. The novel seems to completely trivialize the relationships in the eyes of the protagonist, despite the fact they determine his ending. If you were suddenly trapped in a otome game wouldn't you make it a priority to completely understand and keep your relationships in balance?

I was unable to handle it, so I dropped it. I otherwise found the novel to be enjoyable and quite varied from arc to arc. If you can tolerate a low EQ MC, then you may enjoy the world and its various arc. <<less

So here I have a dumb rant on other reviews of this series that I put under spoilers so that it wont take up space for people that just want to see my horrible review ... more>>
Spoiler

So I edited my review cause I see other reviews that are annoying as hell to me. First if you rate the series low because the characters are too young, then please for the love of god dont even read it. Why the hell you continue to read something that is obvipusly against your morals is beyond me. Second understand they live in a world where people mature faster and are adults by the age of 14. The story is in part based on medieval Europe so this kind of thing shpuld be expected. Also the mental age thing is dumb too. Just cause a character has memories from a past life doesnt make them more mature. It gives them more knowledge and expirience which could make them more mature in comparison to others their age, but that doesnt mean they suddenly develop to become adults or to put it in short its not a simple past life+current life=mental age that so many geniuses always spout when talking about isekais in general. Im just going to mention a special one I read where a person complained about web novels in general and recomended to read other novels after getting over these types of wish fullfilment stories. I just want to say go ahead and read whatever you want, but god dam dont make it sound like normal novel are superior cause god dam it most of them are boring, unintresting or god dam garbage. I dont care what kind of english profesor made essays about just how amazing the writing is, at the end of the day its all just entertainment which should be measured by enjoyment first and foremost. I get we all got difrent tastes and opinions, but dont try to bs like that. And ps normal sci-fi books have are just boring and unintresting. At the end of the day this isnt a story made by or even for a western audience, but a chinese story inspired by japanese light novels. If you disslike and rate it low im ok with that, but for the love of god disslike it for its story or characters, not their age or any other very minor problems that arent even real problems. Im obvipusly highly biased as I love this type of story and this one in particular is one of my favorites so im sorry if I ofend someone, but my god when the only problem is the characters age then you shouldnt even do a review (rate it a 1 for all I care, but just dont do reviews about that). As for the other one please for the love of god stop reading web and light novels if you think they arent any good.

[collapse]

And now the review. Little tyrant is something else. To make it short its amazing. I honest to god love this story. Among all the novels I read (chinese, japanese, korean and etc.) this one is one of my favorite. This is the apex form of the isekais where the MC reincarnates as an aristocrat. I got no real complaints with it honestly. Its got enought action, but not too much for it to be annoying, the romance is honestly perfect and the fact that it somehow managed to do that while being a harem is amazing. Usually harems are meh, lacking in development, focus and just romance. But this one manages to develop all of the MCs relstionships quite well. Hell the MC even has s*x with 3 of his harem members.

This series honestly feels like a japanese novel, but its actually chinese which blew my mind when I found out (dont ask how I didnt know that before I started reading). Though honestly this series is a chinese novel in name only. Its a straight up japanese isekai with only a slight influence of chinese novels. The power system is intresting, though not fully explored as the action isnt exactly the main focus and fights tend to be on the shorter side, although thats honestly to its benefit. There are levels that show of how strong a character is similar to most chinese novels, though this one has an intresting aproach to it and unlike most chinese novels it doesnt focus on training 24/7. The MC gets stronger as the events continue in the series. There is no grinding as the MCs power increases by reading books. Well in a sense, in truth his powers actually increase by discovering the truth of the world and its history.

In short this novels is mostly a romance, harem, mystery with some action that is just the right amount. Every mystery solved raises even more questions and its honestly so fun to put the puzzle pieces together to understand what is actually going on and what happened in this world.

To not make this too long because I could talk about this series for days if need be, this is a novel for those looking for well isekais. Well not just for those people, but also those looking for good romance, for harem stories and for a fascinating mystery that will keep you reading. Though I didnt sell it much, the action is very well done as the fughts arent annoyingly long.

Only things I want to add for those intrested in this story is that the raw updates every day so you dont have to worry about the translation material running out. Also the MC gets very serious about his relstionship with the girls and when he gets to the school arc he more or less just starts to refuse the idea of letting any of them go. Around chapter 400 and beyond he really takes his relationships to the next level so dont worry about the romance developing beyond girl falls in love with him and enjoy the show. Oh also the most fun part lf this novel has to be when his harem members confront each other. I tell you they are the most fun events in the whole series and jist how they sometimes team up even though they hatte each other just to take out a rival is too funny. To add to it there are 4 confirmed girls for the harem which are all the female leads in the game. But the MC of the game doesnt really have much of a role to play as of chapter 580, but that might change in the future.

Well I hoppe this fanboy review I made got people to read this series. I honestly love it and I hoppe people who read my review (horrible and unreadable as it may be) will also enjoy this series.... one ladt thing I recently found out the author is a female and honestly now it all makes sense why the female characters are wrriten so well. Ps Charlotte is best girl. <<less

Alrighty first time posting a review just made an account for it.. Anyways lets just starts with positive things

Power system. The best thing author did with this novel. Its fairly similar to LOTM. Though progression is a bit fast but it seems justifiable with risks MC takes. Author also added his own ideas to usual power system and it results in a good twist that makes this story unique.

Harem Tag... Im not a fan of these but it doesn't interfere with plot progression and is actually a good comedic device

Plots... more>> moves forward with a unique power that MC has.. Not gonna spoil it.. Though it definitely is unique I have never read it anywhere.. Mystery is used as a plot progression device along with apocalypse ending that looms over the whole story..

To conclude.. This novel is so good that its latest arc which is academy arc isn't boring... Now thats a achievement since too many authors fck up with these so yeah good work author over all a good read that kept me engaged. <<less

There are novels that I love despite the harem, the dense MC, or the massive info dump but this one... ugh cant connect with the MC at all. I love lord of mysteries so I was expecting a lot but you all should lower your expectations lol. MC is bland, dense, ret*rded, beta MC. Honestly, the rating is too skewed so giving it a 1-star to save people like me who might have too high of an expectation for a 4.4 star rating and a rank 1 novel.

As a veteran reader of all sorts of novels for a good few years, the thing you’ll eventually look forward to is the plot after reading the same story over and over again in a different form of novel. This is a little different from the usual novel and I can see massive potential within it, although it may be a little hard to get into for people have just discovered the joy of reading, it really has incredible development in comparison to other novels. The characters have their own... more>> backstory and it gets interesting even before the main plot which is namely, the school arc which is currently being translated. The plot is great.

Worldbuilding is cool and mysterious.

The powerups are good.

... more>> Some may feel that the system is useless but that's actually good as author doesn't just bullsh*t everything with the system.

MC practices hard and thinks before taking some action.

Harem member get plenty of time and their characters are well developed, they power up pretty well too.

The interaction between MC, harem or side characters never feels robotic instead we gets decent comedy.

I highly recommend peeps to give it a try

P.S. Someone please add the cover of novel on NU as it makes a great difference.

P.P.S. I have uploaded novel cover. NU staff kindly verify it quickly! <<less

Trust me, this ain't the typical courting death young master cliche that would be rinse and repeat chinese novel.

It's at the same level of Weakest Mage. Enjoyable, decent characters, solid world building, great character interaction and there is a clear set of goal and plot that drives the story.

A Chinese novel that is a Japanese novel in disguise. The typical harem antics and kinda indecisive and beta (in man-woman relationship) MC is to be expected. However, it definitely deserves a read, the characters are very fleshed out with their own personalities and reason why they like the MC. Even tho the harem antics are somewhat often they are often played as comedy and are pretty entertaining most of the time.

So, it's a well done harem battle novel with a cast of colorful characters you want to root for... more>> including the MC. It's worth a read but if you dislike harem antics and indecisive MC (in terms of harem) you probably won't like it. <<less

The translation is done very well and story is mostly great. There is no constant fights making it repetative and MC uses his brains and deals with problems. There are no/very few clichés and the world building is done well. MC is not reliant on system and has a decent-ish character.

The thing that ruins the story is how dense the MC is towards Harem members. This is next level s*upidity, considering he is a smart MC other wise. People kiss him, sacrifice themselves and take bullets for him and he... more>> concludes it must be because I am good looking??? He can be a detective finding small things, but obvious things repeated by harem members turn him to a a person with 0 IQ and EQ. Dense level is highest I have seen.

The romance is mostly one sided, he gets kissed, hugged etc mostly when he asleep and conveniently does not wake up or remembers.

I have decided to stop here and forget about the denseness of MC and comeback in a few months when there is more chapter and I can forget about the aspect making the story annoying. IT is a great read, but you need to have a lot of patience for the MC's loss of IQ and EQ as soon as anyone likes him. <<less

I read up to 220, stopped because I am going to wait for at least 100 more so I can binge read. I am gonna leave a review and try to be as objective as possible, but nah. You cannot just get rid of preference and bias.

4.0 stars rating for me. Why?

1. Characterization and Development.

I like the MC and his girls, and to a lesser extent, their relatives. They have sufficient character development, so you know what goals and motivations they have at the moment. I am fine with the... more>> cute but scheming imouto. The sadistic angel is good too. The merchant princess is also lovely.

A small thing I would like to nitpick is the MC. If only he could be a little more assertive, then some situations that happened could be averted.

Add to that his denseness, it just makes you sigh sometimes. I understand that he has no prior experience to romance, but come on, he was 28 years old (i think) before he reincarnated, and he admitted to playing gal games too. You should understand when someone is in love with you at least in theory (since you play gal games, you will need to understand a girl's preference and hints especially when you choose a conquer route) even if you have not yet experienced any romance. Can't it be applied in real life? Since his new world is a fantasy anyway, why not? Right?

But a saving grace is that he is good in other aspects. He is caring, funny, serious when needed, and has a bottom line in morals.

2. Writing

At first I thought it was a JP work, since the sentence structure in this novel is typically used by JP's. But hey, it is CN. The sentences flow well, the dialogue is entertaining, and the words used are easy to understand. I do not like novels if they use highfalutin words too much when the situation does not call for it.

I thank the translator for his quality translation, which retained the original flair of the novel.

3. Luck and possible deus ex machina

He is lucky, I agree to it. The first proof is the system. The system is passive yes, but it usually shows an item right when the MC needs it. Is that passive? Like come on. It is said to refresh once a month, and what a coincidence that most of the refreshes has an item MC needs. Add to it the massive discounts price discounts. But I guess it can be attributed to what the system said- the items that appear are catered to what the user needs. So I think....... I am cool with it. I just want to point out that he is lucky.

His bloodline is another part of his luck, he gets to befriend very powerful gods. These gods have a following that are convenient henchmen for the MC (in the future). These gods also bless him and help him during desperate times, but I think that is how the world or system works.

4. The Harem

I love it, to be honest. I do not really mind whether an MC has OTP or a harem, as long as it is written realistically and well. Most novels tend to have harem constituents fall in love with MC just because he is handsome, or just because he saved the girls, or just fall in love at first sight. Come on. Majority of the girls in a harem novel have a certain standing in society, so it means they have seen their fair share of real human nature- they cannot rise to such position if they remain innocent and naive.

These kinds of women also usually have monogamous beliefs, especially when they are of high standing. Who would want to share a good piece of treasure, or in this case the MC, when they could have it to themselves? It is natural that there must be cat fights, if they are independent and strong women. Don't kid me with all of them suddenly having 0 IQ and agreeing to everything the MC says just because they are in love.

But in this novel? It is understandable why they fell in love with him. Add to it another factor, they met each other during their childhood. Childhood memories are a big boon to romance, because you remember innocence, nostalgia and admit it, liking people when you are young is conceived as chaste and cute. They also want to stake their claim that they want the MC for themselves, so hooray for ship wars! I really want to see if the MC can manage to get a harem or die being stabbed by a heroine at the end.

5. Fluff and Cuteness

This is a huge plus. When the real world is so dirty and you get tired of everyday stuff, reading light hearted novels can heal you. I really love realistic interactions (whether good or bad) in a novel, it just makes it feel so wholesome.

I am looking forward to further developments.

Ps. Thank you very much translation team for the wonderful translation. <<less

Honestly soo good. There is a clearly defined goal, the author makes all the characters quite deep, there is a little silliness sometimes for great comedic effect, but silliness never affects the plot significantly, so you can enjoy it without worrying about consequences.

Because superficial plot devices aren't used heavily, the plot is very solid, and characters always act consistent to their personalities/ideals.

The translation is very good as well, I wouldn't know it was written in Chinese originally unless I was told, and the nationalism vibe which can be felt in... more>> some Chinese novels isn't really existent.

It reminds me most of "Release that Witch", but even then it's very different and quite unique.

Harem aspects are quite weak where it's been translated up too, and every time they introduce more characters they do it in such a way that you empathise the new characters being introduced, their relationship feels genuine. I generally don't like harems, but the relationships developed thus far seem natural, so it hasn't turned me off at all so far.

All in all, it's a very original novel that is very clever, amusing, and it's been executed very well thus far <<less
