The cousin that Jing Huan has been closest to since he was a child was labelled as “the other woman” in a certain popular online game: only after devoting herself did she know that the other party was a jerk with a girlfriend.

After several days of being bullied online by people in the game, his cousin went abroad in a fit of anger and sorrow.

Jing Huan couldn’t take this lying down; he decided to take revenge for his cousin using the same method as that guy – buy a character in game and kill that slag guy thousands of times online.

With his strength and skill as the Great God when the game was first launched, wouldn’t he be able to kill that guy and force him to quit the server in minutes?!

He went online, eager to fight, but made a discovery after conducting a round of investigations — this slag guy was the number one DPS server-wide, number one on the expert ranking list, number one on the wealth ranking list, number one on the popularity ranking list, and number one on the fame ranking list.

Jing Huan felt despondent. He was just about to give up when he personally witnessed his dormmate’s online relationship end right after meeting each other in real life. The other party had sent fake photos and changed their voice, and had even cheated him of his money, triggering his dormmate so much that he was almost admitted to a hospital.

5/5 ☆ AHHHH GEGE~~~ Definitely the first BL novel I've read over the years which shouted "5 stars" - an understatement on how GREAT it is. A read that will make you addicted with so many cute and fluffy moments (deserves the stamp of FLUFF-PACKED), great writing with no boring parts (it's that interesting), and the best character development as well! +Superduperfunny!!!! (HuanHian (Xiao TianJing) 爱 XiangHuaiZhi (Yearning For) SUPREMACY)

Very fluffy and wholesome - the relationship develops gradually and believably, the angst is resolved summarily in an adult-like manner, the side characters are fun in their own right, and the translation is pretty readable. Maybe a bit too much of the gameplay, but not so bad in comparison to other novels I've read with gaming in it. Nothing to warn for, an easy rec!

This is going to give you SO MUCH second hand embarrassment but it is so worth it!! MC is dumb as heck with his own sense of justice, and goes about it in the most convoluted way possible. He digs himself a pit and continues at it despite the world hinting at him to just stop dang it.

It's kinda s*upid how their romance progressed and it does get slightly draggy but not so much that it leads to the decline of the story telling. Honestly, I think it is worth... more>> sticking around for, especially near the end where MC's identity gets revealed and how their romance actually happens. Writing flows well and the translation is great - definitely worth a try! :) <<less

4.5 / 5 Never would I expect that the novel I randomly picked to read could be this good! I seldom get hooked when reading modern settings danmei and I basically had no expectations before reading this... However, it turned out so good that it has changed my former opinion on giving priority to reading historical novels lol. It's super cute and funny. Sometimes I can't help but get second-hand embarrassment for them hahaha. I enjoyed reading it a lot, laughing for the whole chapter is normal for this little... more>> cute novel. Before the main characters get together, I literally can't stop my hand from continuing the next chapter. I was so addicted to it and at some point I wished that I could read this the whole night straight lol. Xiao Tian Jing is really so cute and adorable QAQ. This was awesome! It was funny and easy to digest. I understand how some people might not take kindly to it but to be honest, this is a feel good story that's nice to read when you have time to spare. The story was yes, a bit lacking, but overall it was a good read.

I finally read an online gaming novel that helped me understand what the heck was going on. Kudos to the translator and team too for the very helpful notes. When the couple consciously couple, the sugar is a bit too much even for me, but the build up was truly masterful and creative.

This is probably the only "modern" novel I've liked to date. I don't usually like modern novels because they're all like daytime soap operas, really dramatic and no substance.

This was a fun, light read, and if you know what it's like playing MOBA type games you'll probably get a chuckle out of this. MC/ML are also really sweet, I enjoyed how their relationship built up a lot.

I really liked this novel I loved how I could feel the love of MC and ML their love isn't one-sided at all (I hate this a lottt) I liked MC the most he is so cute funny and shameless lol Our couple is again like most cnovels OP-handsome rich good at games. The side characters are so funny lol and I loved the game part it was really interesting but ngl I felt a bit impatient at the middle since nothing was happening but those parts are also really... more>> important. I loved this book and it made me laugh out loud multiple times. I really like gaming danmeis so this was perfect for me. I also read the author's other novel but I like the feel of this one better since the MC and ML are on more equal grounds. They're both rich and both OP, they're pretty well made for each other lol. I really liked how the story progressed because the angst that could have come from the cat fishing wasn't relied on.

I love it! It's so funny but not cringe and the development for the MC and ML is steady. I also like that the author didn't drag out any angst. I read romances for the fluff and hate when the MC or ML are too unreasonable and drag issues out by refusing to be mature adults. Thankfully the MC and ML are willing to talk things out and resolve their issues.

GHFOD is actually my first modern danmei, and although I was hesitant, I was pushed to do it by my friends.

I don't regret it one bit. This novel could be one of my favorite novels of all time, since it's just so funny and fluffy and cool all at the same time! Reading GHFOD makes me want to turn on the computer and play games to find my future s/o. Lol. The plot development is really good and the characters are interesting! Jing Huan (MC) is very shameless... more>> and likes to pit holes for himself, while Xiang Huaizhi (ML) is a very cool and loving guy. They make such an interesting pair and they are very fun to read about. I finished the novel in 20 hours, because I can't put my phone down. <<less

Great pacing with steady but slow progression in the main couples relationship. Nothing was rushed and nothing was dragged out too long or over done. This story is basically all fluff - super cute and wholesome. Main and side characters were like-able. There isn't much angst or real obstacle the couple has to overcome.

I really liked how sweet the ML is to the MC, how the MC is shameless, and that they are a total power couple. I feel like the story could have definitely gone on for a bit... more>> longer (I WANT MORE!!!). I'll had a smile on the entire time reading and I'm going to miss Huanhuan very much.

4.5/5, would eat the dogfood again. <<less

I'll get to the point, reading this would sometimes give you get second-hand embarrassment while being very comedic, but it's all good cuz it's also super cute and fluffy at the same time. A huge amount of the story is told via a gaming aspect, so the moments where it's a university/college school life type of meet-up is super precious; and there's also the normal stiflingly feeling of wanting them to meet up because of online dating, but yeah, the amount of dog food you get out of this would... more>> help elevate that XD <<less

If you're looking for a funny and cute relationship with a sensible ML and a MC who doesn't spend the whole novel denying his feelings for the ML, this is the novel for you. A great, healthy relationship, enough humor to make you snort in the middle of reading, just enough fluff and interaction between the MC and ML, this has it all.

The humor is on point - Huanhuan is possibly one of the funniest protagonists I have ever read about because everything he does is embarrassingly funny. He's constantly... more>> digging himself further into a hole... poor guy.

The ML is very level-headed - he is still jealous but not overly possessive and he doesn't take anything out of proportion. Always thinks things through, deals with things very maturely. He's really refreshing after all the super-possessive, man child MLs that seem to be very popular in these kinds of novels.

The way the ML slowly falls in love with the MC - it's really done well in a way that endears the reader to their relationship. It's so sweet that I think I'm going to become diabetic huuu ;-;

Really love how he doesn't treat him too differently after finding out that Huanhuan and Xiao Tianjing are one and the same. It really makes me wonder if he would've still fallen for Huanhuan had he not been his ingame wife. Though I guess that will just be a theory of mine for now...*sigh*

Overall, really great novel. Funny, cute relationship, really nice characters that are both typical and also refreshing. Only complaint I would have is that I did feel that there were some extra details I really wanted to know, and there were some details added that confused me (ex. Huanhuan thinking the girl sounded like Chichi, and then that detail being completely irrelevant). Despite this, I really think this is great, and the relationship really shines. Coming from the perspective of a reader who just finished reading this at 2am and barely woke up at an ungodly hour of 7am, I have 2 words for this novel: NOT ENOUGH.

The humor in this novel is very casual and feels very natural. It all seems a blur to me now but I remember laughing so much at every chapter and there may be a bit of drama but really just a pinch. I find this very refreshing because although I like face slapping very much, this couple doesn’t... more>> really deserve.

Of course, there would be loopholes in every novel, but the flow didn’t actually let me think of them and I’m just left clicking on next every time I reach the bottom of the page. (Bro, the feel of reading a completely translated work from the get-go is very novel!)

I loved both MC and ML’s characters. MC may have started to barge into the ML’s world with ulterior motives but he really didn’t do anything grave, perhaps even digging his own grave instead ah. His plans were spreading sugar and meng and shameless everywhere. It’s basically attacking the oneself 999 to deal damage 1000.

ML definitely is more human in this one than most novels I read. He doesn’t just fall for MC right off the bat —the process was gradual and believable. Instead of doing grand displays of affection, it’s really the small things, the hidden meanings from one’s actions, and the mere feeling of someone being special to a person that really makes this novel a refreshing one.

Overall, a very satisfying read.

If I would have to nitpick on something in the novel, I guess I only would’ve liked for other characters to have more time to shine. It wasn’t noticeable when I was reading cause I was so invested with the mains but although the other characters obviously help the plot move forward, I feel like they aren’t given more depth than this. It’s nothing vital but I would’ve like to see some scenes in their perspective too, especially since a lot of them are very interesting characters!!

Still, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND if you want a light read with the comedic undertones of daily life and brave warriors of online gaming/dating.

P.S. I really felt Xiao Tianjing is very cute, very sunny, very lovable!

I was looking for Shounen Ai Novel and I found this.
I'm not that quite interested in this kind of theme but when I read this Novel, I was hooked up! I love the story especially how the MC trying his best to deceive the ML. I haven't finished the half story, so I'm really looking forward to their relationship development.

I love this novel so much???!!! It's light, funny, and very entertaining! The MC is witty and shameless, bold and kind, a thoroughly interesting guy. Jing Huan is exactly the kind of character I'm usually drawn into and at the same time he still offers something new so his character feels fresh to me.

The plot is great. Although there's not much twists, the relationship between characters and their dialogues/monologues are enough to keep my interest all throughout the end. I love how the side characters, even those who only appear... more>> in the gaming world are fleshed out. By the end you'll still remember their long names and their specific traits without feeling that the story has shifted focus. The friendship is ever present and the family bond is great too. Even the random fujoshis add more spice to the story.

It's a gaming story but I think the story is still easy to follow even by those who don't really play games (the translator also does such a good job in leaving concise explanation about some gaming terms and slangs).

Leave this for last because I'm afraid it's gonna be spoiler-ish,

The ML is not overbearing, extremely warm and loving! He may look unapproachable but he's not some heartless cold person. His love for MC is so endearing. I'm drowned in fluff and the sweet romance between our MC and ML~ (even though I'm drowning, I'd still accept whatever dog food the author throws my way so hoping for more extras!!!)

In conclusion, please read this story and shower it with love!!! <<less
