I have made up my mind to keep continue reading this novel even though some say it was not worth it. But please, gave this novel a second chance! The ML are not that bad as what the description said.... he tried so hard not to break the FL and scared her away even though he knews the FL hate himself so much. it is too much to say that I really fond this ML cause he isn't your typical CEO. Just like other people say, "don't judge a book by its cover" is actually meant for this book too! But for those who uncomfortable with the age gap between the ML and FL... well, you might have to consider reading this novel but for those who are open minded like me, IT WAS WORTH IT. Don't mind about other reviews or bad rating this novel got... if it successful to attract you to read it, read it until the very end! I don't have enough chapters to judge this novel so I'm going to continue read it and change the ratting depending the evolution of the story

I loved this book, read it without break, cried a bit in the end but it was worth it, I recommend this, no major smut actually no smut except some forceful acts, hated it but was fine when qiu li suffered, the end was happy, the mystery was solved in the end, SPOILER (the ML didn't kill her in her first transmigration when nuonuo thought so), loved when he cried and did those act just to bring her back, a fresh read after my reader block so yes! I totally love this novel, also cried in between. The ML CEO is very intelligent, strong and confident and saw through all the schemes from other jealous woman who wanted to harm her. Everyone has a bad side so he as well but the good thing is he learned from his failures because he loves her so much. It will be bad when nothing changed at all at the end.

Let's talk about it by points

The rating: it may seem not good but it is actually good since a lot of people rated it 4 I think. The reason people rated it lower earlier is because of the ML who seems bad at first but is actually a pitiful guy. Everything was the result of a huge misunderstanding.

The translation: wasn't bad but could've been better maybe the story will get more good reviews if the translation was better. But it was not horrible though. Just feels a little wrong in... more>> some places.

The story: the story was good. It is about a girl who goes into a novel world and ends up becoming the love interest of the ml. This gave me a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

The fml: she is very much sane. By sane I mean very realistic. For most parts she just wanted to go home. She kept this mindset in the first lifetime which she believes is her second lifetime but it's not. I will not spoil. I really felt bad for the ML later because of how stone hearted she is to him. The guy literally didn't deserve it. But well as I said it was a big misunderstanding that made her think he was a bad guy. But in actual he is not bad.

The ml: even though you may hate him in the beginning but I will say he was just misunderstood even the fML understood in the end how much she hurt him which he didn't deserve. As I said before he was in love with her from way before from his teenage time. The killing part was only a false memory planted by the original sould of song nuonuo. But the ML never killed her. He loved her too much. He is crazy for her. Even though he showed some red flags before but later he has so much change and completely changes for good. He also had to suffer a lot to get the fml. He lost more than he got. He was even willing to die when he saw she still wants to be with her family in the 2nd lifetime he tried to kill himself so she can go back because he used up his ML Goodluck for her so he was no longer lucky[. He defied the rule of the world and interfered between both worlds. Although it has a HE but I didn't get what happened in the end because the extra chapters weren't translated I read the mtl version. They had a son. So I think he and she got their luck back because their son is a genius and only fML and ml's son has that kind of luck so I think they will be fine or whatever in any case it's a happy ending for the story even without the extras. And I don't know why people come to read stories expecting some green ML even though there is literally tags for these. Possessive, obsessive, yandere. ML is tr*shy, im not gonna try and defend him or whatever, he's tr*shy. Straight up. He does a lot of inhumane (rape, sa, confinement) things toward fl. But hey, if you are like me, who is down for that stuff, and someone who can actually differ between reality and fiction, then go for it. Translation is excellent, and the UI is easy to navigate. The "+" icon to increase the font size doesn't seem to be working, so I just used the console "CTRL+Scroll up" to zoom in.

Story is meh~ Not my preference. A typically like a Yandare-type ML and a sweet, innocent-like MC trope, but this story is just too dramatic. Basically the MC started out complaining that the original FL and ML were in a 'push&pull' relationship and criticizing the original FL so I was momentarily happy that this wouldn't be one... more>> of those novels where the MC would constantly fight and run away from the ML like the original FL. Few chapters in, and that's exactly what happened. And it never ends. I get that this is part of the novel and honestly the MC was given good reason to hate and run away from the ML, but it just gets tiring to read. You just start feeling sorry for the ML and getting annoyed by the MC.

Read this novel because a) I loved Devil's Warmth by the same author and b) the reviews led me to believe there was a good plot twist that explained the ML's crazy behavior and led to a satisfying conclusion.

Sadly this is very far from the quality of Devil's Warmth, and even if I expected more of a wacky parody-like take on the 'yandere ML and white lotus FL' genre, I did hope that the plot twist was good and would make me see the whole story in a new light.

The ML would literally commit slow and painful su*cide to spend just a little more time with the FL/MC, but without harming her original life, and also that the original Song Nuonuo whom the MC replaced was vengeful and tricked the MC into thinking the ML had originally mu*dered her and was more psychotic than he actually was. Making the MC constantly fear for her life, even though the ML, crazy as he was, was after all not actual and unhinged and cold-blooded mu*derer.

The problem is, it doesn't significantly change the ML. He's still a horrible person. He almost has her killed by threatening to give her to a sadistic s*x maniac (to force her to comply with his wishes). He's pe*verted and doesn't know what consent means, and while I don't think the 's*xual abuse' tag really applies to what he does to her, he still does some pe*verted stuff against her will. There's still a sort of r*pe that happens.

Now, unlike many morally outraged reviewers here (why read a novel with this plot and these tags if you can't handle it?!), I have a low bottom line for fiction and knew what I went into. I was actually disappointed that this was not what I'd call a true 'dark romance', because the ending is supposed to be sweet and the ML is supposed to redeem himself. Personally I don't think he redeems himself, but that wasn't my problem with this novel.

My problem is that the novel and characters are shallow and the ending is unsatisfying. I expected a romantic happy ending for the leads, but the way the MC changes her mind and starts loving the ML happens too fast and felt unrealistic for her type of character. The buildup to the resolution and the plot twist is just not good enough for the ending to work.

The novel evolves into the 'wife chasing in the crematorium' type of trope where the bad ML regrets and chases his wife back before she leaves him for good. It's a genre where it's tricky to make the happy ending convincing, and this author does not succeed.

The book is easy to read and kind of addictive, and the strong-willed MC made me want to keep reading, but I was counting on a good resolution and it didn't happen.

The ML's love was pretty shallow - he falls for the MC because she's super beautiful. That's it. No meaningful interactions or connections, he likes her pretty face and then proceeds to do everything to get her, good and bad methods. I couldn't root for someone that shallow, but I will say his overbearing CEO+yandere behavior was often entertaining.

There's a bit of humor in the MC and ML's interactions, with the MC internally criticizing why all women in the novel world falls for the ML despite his terrible personality, but it never ventures into full parody (would have been fun if that happen). The novel is also not that dark, the ML doesn't do anything truly bad to the MC (if you think he does, trust me, you've not read a real dark romance), so that was kind of disappointing since I love dark characters and was hoping for a deliciously crazy/unhinged/psycho ML.

Easy and fast read, but it's a fastfood type of book and the story isn't that imaginative. <<less

This novel was truly different. Like there was an actual plot, where the transmigration was explained. The novel wasn't exciting all the time, but the last 10-15 chapters were truly the best.

And the numbers of chapthers weren't too little nor too many. It was just the right amount.

I would differently recommend this novel, but you have to be patient.

Seriously f*** you author. Who makes people cry like this? My eyes are red from around chapter 170 and I had refused to read the rest of the chapters for 2 days because I thought it wasn't gonna be HE.

I'm literally a big idiotic M who would do well as a insignificant support female lead role in a romance novel... So by the end of it I forgave ML for all he's worth lmfao (was even cursing the author while crying, literally praying and begging that ML gets a HE).

I actually recommend this for people who are more open minded (who are actually into dark books) and had high mental resistance against some 18+ SPG scenes.

Read it for entertainment and don't take things seriously, although it is dark but it is enjoyable. A roller coaster ride of a novel.

ML is 30 and the FL is only 17. That's already a no from me.

Since this is a yandere story, I didn't have any high expectations on the ML's character anyway. Yes, he's horrible in many ways but if that doesn't bother you, read it.

However, the age gap is too much. A 30 year old man attracted towards a teenager. When the FL is not even mentally that mature.

Caution: when reading this story, let go of all your morals and ethics if you want to read this till the end because dang the ML is batsh*t crazy...

I have mixed feelings about this novel. I finished this between trying to wake myself up to a missed lunchtime. I really liked the main character initially. She never did fall in love with the main lead and held onto her principles. I was really, really rooting for her to escape, but in the end, it felt like her personality and spunk has been robbed away.

I guess it's due to how in order for them to be together, you really did have to redeem their relationship in every means possible. Cripple the main lead! Give her whatever she wants (but he still took her back when she gained her freedom, ain't that just romantic?) ! Literally rob her out of her memories and personality to make her sympathize with and stay with him! With what some text I could understand, her memories were manipulated by the novel Nuonuo to fulfill her wish, but it's all nothing to me. You (ML) robbed away the future of a young girl.

The main lead didn't need love. Not Nuonuo. He needed therapy. The story itself was super thrilling in the beginning, but got really infuriating in the last quarter. The ending left me unhappy and empty. I felt like there wasn't much of a point for me to have read it all, but at least I finished it so quickly that I could just shrug it all off. This is a classic masterpiece, dogblood novel where it leaves you feeling love and hate for ML. Do read the tags before thinking to read this.

Utterly rubbish in my opinion. I have always thought of myself as someone who has high tolerance for idiotic characters as well as overly dumb plotlines. But heavens, this novel just challenge my limit. Alright I reviewed it early because I might forget to later on and I have to write a review for this BECAUSE THE ML IS SO UNIQUE AND MEMORABLE AND CRAZY THAT PEOPLE GOTTA KNOW IT.

First of all, I would NOT recommend this to the people that are:

I just wanted to warn people cause this might become their most hated novel.I wanted to reassure that people who are gonna read this has to tolerate all that or else you'll just get sick in the stomach.I'd like to adress that she wasn't r*ped almost but FL was able to fight back. Also the FL isn't entirely weak she'll not relent sometimes and is able to defend herself and smack ML with a bottle, stab him, and etc. So she isn't exactly all that weak but only supressed.

Now what kept me going at first was waiting for FL to escape and be like "f you ML I don't need you and you could go ahead regret your action once I run away and be gone" but no what happened was extremely different.

She wasn't able to escape but atleast the ML has to live with FL who hates him and who dgaf about him so it still feels good. What I liked about the FL is that different from those other novels where even after the ML abuses FL she still falls inlovd for example he forcefully kisses her and crosses her privacy but she still wants it. This one is differentthe FL ACTUALLY hates the ML and feels disgust when he tries kissing or touches her. She is even able to hurt and attack him not letting him do whatever he wants with HER body. Although at first she was a bit dumb cause she keeps insisting the ML would like the og FL of the book but things already started deviating when she changed and when she caught his interest but later on starts to understand that reality and the book was different.

The characters are very interesting especially some characters who changed evil to good. Also at first I didn't like her big change cause I thought how could someone easily change their views like that but after having a c*ckroach in my bedro door and my uncle (who I'm not that close to and actually disliked him a little) killed the c*ckroach then I was able to look at him in a new light... (yes I'm that petty I mean I wouldn-t be able to sleep if it wasn't for him

)

Now the ml... he is crazy asf light literally crazy which I somehow like. It's because he's the one obssessing with FL instead of the other way around, his methods and thinking is very interesting, and also having FL to rebel against his craziness feels good. Sometimes he can be ammoying sometimes he can be decent even cute (which is extremely rare) but mostly annoying. Him and FL is an extremely interestinf duo which is why I'd recommend you to read about their weird but increadibly interesting relationship. Watch as at first the ML was the one abusing and kn the end it becomes him who is abused cause of his love while FL hates him.

Now the only sad part for me is that

Edit:Noe that I see it, it seems like the stepsister hated FL also because of her parents.I kind of pity her now cause she's forced by her mom who hates FL to also hate her even thought she doesn't that it effects her grades and mental health which I know how bad it feels like. Don't hate her too much.

After reading some reviews and plot of this book I thought it was similar to one of my favorite novel "wife can't escape" so I wanted to give it a try. If you like this novel then you will definitely love wife can't escape more. But this novel, 😩 man MC killed my mood to continue. She is so s*upid and brainless. She doesn't act according to situation like song luan from WCE. Her brain is filled with water to come up with so many s*upid plans. ML is hateful at the beginning. He is psycho and scary sometimes but I read some spoiler that he has a reason for being that way. So he is ok to me.
