My name is Joo In-gong. The name that my parents gave me meant ‘protagonist’ of the world. really?

As anyone can predict, I was constantly teased due to my name. In kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and high school. If I went to university as planned then I would probably be laughed at there as well.

So, at one point, I really hated my name.

But not anymore. Now, I think slightly differently. Maybe being named Joo In-gong was a type of foreshadowing?

A protagonist being transported to a game world isn't a new thing, nor him knowing tricks about the game world even less him having some wronged knowledge about the characters.

However that doesn't take much away from it, the fact that he appeared as the weakest brother of the future demon lord if the game followed the plot he knows looks fairly interesting, not to mention him viewing some characters in new lights, I am not sure if I could call the protagonist wise but that doesn't really matter because... more>> he has a skill that embodies plot armor as his job is protagonist, so he could probably manage to properly execute some batman like schemes without even trying <<less

A fun novel to read. It might not be the deepest thing ever, but it's full of hype (initially at least).

MC has cool abilities. He's not especially interesting as a character though. He's okay. Normal. XD

Seriously, I initially really liked the story (felt hype every chapter almost), but my feelings cooled down towards the end (nothing like a 5 month break to cool your feelings). The MC kinda got way OP (in a cool way, but still) and the ending was predictable. I was shocked to see Breakers end... more>> so quickly. I feel like this story could've gone much further. It's good enough for me to feel sad about its ending...

Side characters are cute. The girls aren't annoying. World building was good! The cheats got explained, pfft.

The last chapter of the story pretty much explained everything important. Felt more like a info dump reveal. It answered my questions though.

My review makes the story sound meh, but it's actually a good one. Style feels like a Shounen Manga though. <<less

It is a good little story.

The MC gets pulled into a game (spoiler :: supposedly the game is based on some records of another world passed by someone into our world) . He knows the not so good ending of the game, and needs to prevent it. Hence starts his journey in this new world.

Does the novel contain harem? - Yes, (spoiler :: the number of people in it is greater than 2 if you count Green Wind, Anastasia and possibly Nayatra) .

Does he return to... more>> his own world? - There is a possibility to return but do you really want the MC to leave his harem?

The events in the story happen over a year (or two), and considering that the problem he has to tackle is enormous, the complains about story being repetetive, rushed at the ending, etc. Do not hold as the story and no. Of chapters are short. AS I SAID, IT IS A HAPPY LITTLE STORY. <<less

It a bit interesting but not to my league. I found the MC a bit lack in personality department where the side kick seems to be over glorified by the author. The set-up seems interesting enough and it's only become interesting for me

as the story goes. It a bit similar to shounen genre that it's bland and lack to wow appeal for me. It' good to read but not the type that would excite.

Plus, I found the green wind so annoying as she tryhard to sticks to the MC... more>> (like notice me senpaI level). Other characters are interesting and not bland like other novels which is good. The characters and the world is the thing which is interesting. But there is too many question need to be answers. The world has a nice build up but lacks the fighting badness department.

I guess I think is just OK for me but not the type that I would reread for many times that I needed to turn it to PDF to read offline. It's a ok read to past time.

MC being reincarnated inside a game world. At first I really like the story, but as the story progress I find some faults with it well there is good things there too.

The bad thing is even tho the MC knows the game pretty well he doesn't use it very well. Like for example:
-He still wants his old followers (in the game) even tho (I think) there is still stronger people he can make him follow
-The writing style also includes a lot of thinking so um. ? You... more>> cant easily get emotionally attached to the MC? At least that's what I felt when reading this novel.
-The other characters is also one dimensional (tho I think its getting better).
-He's also way too carefree (it's like the MC just let the plot armor protect him) .
-The power system (for me) looks random like for ex: magical power, physic power, aura, divine power etc, etc, its jumble all together I cant get hype at all when it got mention. (-_-)
recommended? Yes. As I said there are still some good things you can found on this novel. Just too lazy too write them :P <<less

Breakers is a fine short story. The protagonist and main cast are well written, although a bit archetypal for some of their traits, the background is concise but well done (the final plot explanation and the how and why of the world transfert are coherent if a bit unimaginative), there is no filler chapter, the rise to power of the main character, while quick, doesn't feel like a teenager's power trip, the harem element is present but doesn't feel forced, and the ending, while seeming a tad rushed, is well... more>> timed enough and leaves a impression of satisfaction.

To sum everything up, the elements of this tale are just above average, but the alchemy between them make Breaker a good story to read over the course of 1 or 2 weeks, not being excellent but certainly much better than a lot of other korean short novels.

This story reads a bit like watching someone else play a video game.

When it sticks to game elements and action sequences, it's interesting enough in concept: game the system, gain ALL the levels, crush everything. Nothing groundbreaking, but reasonably entertaining. There's a B-movie plot in there somewhere, but it mostly serves as a thinly-veiled excuse for all the powerleveling, in typical RPG style. Pretty standard stuff.

Every other part of the story falls completely flat, on account of the main character being excruciatingly bland. Once again, in typical RPG... more>> style. Oh, and there's a harem romance sub-plot with borderline mind control that tries to be cute but is actually super creepy.

The story is almost good, but...
It's about the protagonist whose soul is transferred to another world to save that world. That's all.

The story line is short and straight forward. No cliff, no turn around, no corner, no hidden plot. Each act is for powering up the MC. The fight/combat is short and plain and straight. No catchya, no unexpected, no any expect. That's one star rating lost.

The dialogue destroy another star. Each character can talk only a simple short, straight, plain sentence. Not until the... more>> last chapters that they can talk lengthy or have complex idea behind.

Love scene is not exist until the very last chapters. Harem too.

OK to read to pass time. Wanna give 4 stars, but can't. <<less

Novel was good. Author probably wanted to make more chapters but he changed his mind and shortened the story.

Story developing well to 200 chapter+ and then author decides to end the story faster and just skip to the end with some plot armors.

Actually world has potential mb story of this MC ended but I would like to see another story in this world.

A terribly disappointing ending. I started reading right as Breakers started getting translated, and I've enjoyed the ride all the way up until now, but no longer. It feels like right around Chapter 215 or so, the author decided to skip straight to the ending. A lot of stories feel bloated, like they could have been told in half the number of words. This time, it's the opposite. The final battle is too sudden, and too rushed. There could easily have been another 100 or even 200 chapters, the better to flesh out the storyline, explore the world, and develop the characters outside Shutra/In-gong's inner circle.

This was a story with a lot of promise. A pity that will never be realized.

After following this translation for so long, I have a lot of mixed feelings. I love this story, I enjoyed reading the story one chapter at a time from beginning to end. The story itself is nowhere near a literary masterpiece, it has plenty of its own problems. But it just has a way of growing on you that makes you love it. A lot of people won't like what this translation has to offer, but those that do will love it. I hope anyone reading this will take the... more>> time to give the story a fair shot, & see if it grows on you as well. ^. ^

The story are much better than I expected, I thought it was going to typical story of repetitive things, but I was wrong. The balance between MC role and Support character are well balanced (though some of them are didn't have enough screen time but considering the length of chapters). The story might be not exceptional or something new, but the the way story flow, the phase, and the execution of story is splendid.

I might be a bit overpraise it, but it's worth to read till the end.... more>>

Don't read those negative preview, especially who only read halfway and bitching about it.

And thank you Rainbow Turtle (and the team), for brought us this story and top quality translation, once again thank you <<less

As you know KRs often love human vs all step into the past MCs, but this novel truly makes it look like a game come to life, without the MC being an edgelord or going around killing every sentient species for god

Its about a weak ass prince becoming powerful to protect the friends he made along the way from their fates

The character development is plainly obvious but not too sudden nor does he simply find a max level rare candy, op potential though

I'm just so sick of hearing "MC (Shutra) ! You're so great!"

This phrase sums up everything wrong with this novel. It's just far too masturbatory. Instead of being shown that the MC is awesome, you have to be told that he's awesome - over and over and over and over again. MC can do everything and anything, and all his to-be-wives have to remind him (and unfortunately us as well) how great and magnificent and handsome and cute, etc. He is.

Not sure why anybody would give this low rating coz of some minor annoyances

Novel is on good pace ~ some characters are really entertaining and you definitely enjoy a lot when MC gets new skills he is kind of good person ~ There are a lot of mysteries too~

the most interesting part of this novel is that it never gets boring coz of constant changes brought in by plot, characters and skills

well written, good narration and dramatization; this novel makes use of every word in a meaningfull way.

inspiring, youthful, heroic and clean.

It has a nice romance; the heroines are morally noble, they are very femenine, the MC treats them like human beings Worthy of love and the protagonist makes his happiness the priority, as opposed to lady pleasing as an end in itself or society escalation.

Very natural development and objective narrations. If you are tired of all the novels obcesed with evil and obcenities this is a... more>> like the light in the Chappelle.

A very easy to read story accompanied by a good MC. It's also a completed story now so there won't be any fuss with release speed or bad arcs/ending. A very good novel. Just read it.

Many people complain about how the MC knows the future and shows it off and that he really doesn't "know anything". The thing here is - How often do you play a game and remember every little side-character and little bit of lore? Especially when one of the main premises even early on is that the MC's knowledge of the future is very flawed, because the world he is in has marked differences between the game. Take him for example as the most blatant example. Shutra Ignus is ignored in... more>> the game because he does nothing and doesn't stand out. Yet in this world he is a cheat god incredibly early on (learning skills others take years to learn by getting hit with it). Not to mention this justifies his lack of knowledge regarding his own situation, which many people seem angered by. Why would he care about Shutra when he was playing the game? So he doesn't know much about Shutra to begin with. Now he's in Shutra's shoes and the future is radically different already.

Certainly not a perfect, 5 star novel, but far better than many other KR novels, not to mention JP and CN novels which seem to have very low average quality.

Read it if you want a protagonist who isn't too dense, relatively self aware, isn't afraid to mix comedy and serious plot, and has a kickass harem-god orc sidekick (and people who complain about the orc having a harem seem a little self-conscious, hell, the MC still has a qualitatively better harem. And don't call me out on that ad hominem).

So far from what I have read I can say it is a nice story. Nothing too bad to say some people will complain about the MC but really I don't find me bad he is a nice guy. The combat scene are unfortunately lacking the skills explanation are also the weak point if you have a status window then you have skill stats with numbers. Stuff like Auras are barely explained but I blame the author NOT THE MC rofl. Seriously though it can be forgiven I mean... more>> you have other novels that dwell on it so much that you can find a balance with this novel somehow. Last point the world is fun, the environments looks nice and also fun then again maybe some dark moment will come later on but for now I like the lighthearted side of the novel. Read it and just enjoy it.
