This one's a bit controversial (it is not as bad as the relationship in case file compendium tho LMAO) If you have read novels similar to "Passion" then i suggest you give it a try! It was unexpectedly very sweet (and its not just fleeting moments, but happens very frequently too). Also, unhinged MLs in novels like these usually change their attitude only towards the MC, but Zhenya really softened towards everyone, although he is still cold due to the environment he grew up in.

The reviews on this were surprisingly brutal though. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't like thin skinned MCs who is quite clumsy. (i don't really get the hate and aggression people have towards them but read what you want to read without disrespecting anyone please! Characters can have different personalities and decisions that will not always align with what you think is right, and that is what makes reading interesting! Lets have some a bit of a reading comprehension too :)) <<less

It is a story about an MC who is struggling with a severe anxiety disorder and he has this lover whom he thinks is just a fragment or a character that he made himself. This belief stemmed from his insecurity that no person, especially with such a big status, would ever like him, and as well from his psychiatrist and aunt who also thought it would be impossible.

This is actually a very mild novel with almost no angst. The beginning was a bit sad and helpless for the MC, but it later turned so soft. ML is extremely sticky and in love, very doting and protective. MC is very cute, and while his development seems really small, as someone who also struggle with it I think I can say that he took a lot of huge, courageous steps. It's hard for us to live "normally" and desperately try to fit in society. I hope the readers could have a small sneak peek of the life of people with anxiety disorder through this story and understand them ·ᴗ·  <<less

As one of the reviewers said, this is a novel with morally-grey characters (specifically, the ML) so it may be a bit hard for some readers to agree with his fast flirtatious advances towards the MC.  I had a hard time reading this tbh, with the MC's impulsiveness and extreme possessiveness. But I'm constantly reminded that he grew up in a violent environment so I understood him and continued reading. I was honestly frustrated a lot of times, had intense secondhand-embarrassment, but didn't have the will to drop it. There were also some rare times where the ML's decisions were a bit odd in the earlier parts, but naturally, no one is perfect. I wanted to see their story till the end.

The extras were so long they felt like a entire sequel instead and i LOVED it. Little to no angst, just fluff and spicy scenes here and there. After all the mess it was just a breath of fresh air. I was so sad to finish it, the last chapter felt so short and I teared up a bit. PLEASE READ IT! UNTIL THE END!! It might be a slightly rocky road but you wont regret it.  <<less

MC also has this unusual ability of seeing numbers and colors that exposes the emotions of other people! One day, he caught a very brief glimpse of yellow (desire) from ML. He thought he was just hallucinating, but is he? 

Also there is a very cute (and smart) child and cool grandparents along the way!

I LOVED the ML, he was slightly confused about his feelings at the start, but when he finally realized that he was in love, he just went straight on to MC. Its so funny that he is using all these cliche tricks and gets surprised that they work LMAOO (credits to "Friend A")

MC was more in denial, it was hilarious whenever he knew damn well what'll come, tries to stop it since he is "straight" but ends up giving in.

If you are a fan of psychological novels, I think you'd like this! It's very well-written and easy to read. It's the type of novel that just makes you go "GIRL??" multiple times (´▽`ʃƪ)

The main cp are brothers not related by blood (yup, a huge taboo). MC is romantically in love with ML, but it's more on the obssessive side actually. ML, who was adopted against the will of the mother, hated him. His hate is understandable but let me warn you that he treats the MC like sh*t throughout the novel. The MC is shamelessly stubborn with his chasing though, one second you'd think he'll finally have some self-respect himself and let him go, but then the next second, he doesn't care. It was quite amusing and frustrating, but the ML would have never cracked his mask if it weren't for it.

Anyways events happen, MC ended up killing someone. The story takes place after his release from his 10-year prison. I think it was a pretty interesting read, but since the romance took a bit of time to actually fully bloom, it felt a little short and I just randomly found myself in the last chapter! 

*Maybe it's just me but it was milder than what I expected from the reviews (ahem, case file compendium has really built my immunity). But it did prickle my heart a few times. <<less

This novel is actually more plot-driven and less on the romance. It is very slow and minimal on that part, so it may get a little frustrating at times to those who came for that (me ahaha (›´-`‹ ))But aside from that, the story itself was realistic and beautiful. Both main characters were glorified by others, but are imperfect. They also had misunderstandings and late realizations that could've been solved earlier, thus their love bloomed a little later. I recommend this to those who seek for a novel that reignites the hope that has been long left out in the cold ☂︎... more>>
