TBVH, I had a hard time getting into the story. The overall plot is interesting but the story itself is written kind of bland. Found myself wanting to quit many times. Story does get slightly better and bearable in the later chapters (c60+). What I do like about the story are the FL and ML. FL and her family are a wastrel. They live idly and luxuriously with no care whatsoever to what others say about them. They are a loving family and very protective of each other. FL is a top beauty but not the typical soft, gentle lady who is educated in poetry and arts. Instead, her talent lies in archery, horse riding, and martial arts. Don’t let her family being wastrel fool you because they are quite smart. Living well and surviving together is all that matters most to them. As for the ML, he appears normal but from the synopsis and novel I feel there is more to his character than meets the eyes. The novel is not completely translated which leaves it a mystery to find out. Fair warning, although there is a relationship between the main leads imo there isn’t much fluff.  <<less

I read this novel within a couple of days in order to unravel the mystery of our FL’s background. Why did she get injured before... more>> losing her memories? What did she do before she lost her memories? Who wanted to kill her? There are a lot of questions to find out. The suspense made me want to keep reading. Our FL and ML has an interesting relationship. Although they are married, they were forced to get marry since their families had a marriage contract (from their elders). Both families do not like each other therefore FL was neglected when she married into the ML’s residence. She was never intimate with the ML and lived in her own small court. FL’s parents sent FL to be a spy and accomplish secret tasks at the ML’s residence through the marriage. They only started to have more interaction after FL lost her memories. One moment they are good then the next moment they could be bickering. I also liked how they both met for the first time after losing her memories. [SPOILER] She snuck out to investigate herself by going back to the area that she got injured but ran into the ML at the gate of town. She talked to him as if she didn’t know him which shocked him (since he is her estranged husband). After spending time with him and thinking how good of a person he is she goes home only to find out he is the estranged husband who never visited her. [END OF SPOILER] Besides the plot, I liked the pace of the novel.  <<less

[SPOILERS] FL has a system in which she has to ensure both the original(OG) FL and ML don’t break up. She’s an adopted younger sister of OG ML. In the OG plot she falls in love with the OG ML and was not nice to OG FL. On the other hand, our ML is known as a demon who was locked up for years but escaped. He hid his true identity and plotted himself to join the OG FL (for a purposeful reason). In the OG plot he ends up falling for the OG FL but with the FL and her system, she changes all of that. The story has arcs that leads up to the main plot. FL’s body is special and she is the only kind left therefore her body is extremely useful to demons and the sects. Her interaction with the ML is funny and how she tries to prolong her life knowing the ML’s real identity. It’s interesting and cute to see their relationship grow. Beware both FL and ML are ruthless in this novel but they also have a sad backstory.  <<less

Hearing that the FL is strong (from the made up rumor her parents made) he goes to challenge FL and crushed her face with his foot. From there, they both get sent to a different realm? FL finds herself as the supporting female lead with a system to guide her to ascend. ML finds him as the FL’s male pet with a system to guide him to help the FL to ascend. With different identity and looks they both do not recognize each other. The relationship between both leads is hilarious. Someone described their relationship as Tom and Jerry and I’ve got to agree with the review. The novel has a comical side to it but the plot is interesting the more you dive in. The novel reminded me a bit of ‘Capturing the Black Lotus’ and ‘The Villainous won’t let the main leads break up’ in a sense that the main leads don’t like each other at first, experience high and lows together while growing a close bond with each other without realizing that they’ve already fallen for each other, and the novel is split up into arcs. I don’t want to spoil the plot anymore than what I’ve shared but I definitely recommend reading this novel if you like the other 2 novels I shared. Fair warning ⚠️ the ML may come off childish and aggressive but he was raised and trained to be tough and to accept pain therefore he’s not gentle or sophisticated. But as you read on more you start to see him become more gentler towards the FL.  <<less

Never had left her sect and being the descendant and inheritor of the sword blade, FL adventure into the real world and gets herself entangle with the ML and other strong martial artists. Her experience helps her grow and become stronger. She eventually creates a name for herself in the martial art realm. There are no boring moments and the plot keeps you on your feet. I like the relationship between the FL and ML. Although there is a romance tag, do not expect much romance. They help each other and go through a variety of challenges together. ML does not have martial arts to save his life but his qing gong is the highest. His back story is a mystery.  <<less

I didn’t expect to feel so sad reading this that it made me want to cry. The relationship between FL and ML starts out interesting and quite comical with how they first met but later when the plots heightens, their relationship becomes one of the best you could ever wish for. The ups and downs they go through together makes you fall for them both. Due to this, ML does not have a favorable impression on her. After a month of being wed, ML and FL were separated for 3 years since ML left to the capital to pursue his career. What I enjoy is that FL was not mistreated by her MIL and in law family members besides the side houses. They trust her to oversee the household. FL is a calm and smart lady. She and ML has no feelings whatsoever for each other so their interaction is quiet, awkward, and indifferent. ML has a misconception of FL based through her father’s crime and small events that he ends up misunderstanding FL (but don’t worry, all the misunderstanding gets clear up quickly.) He eventually starts to see her true nature after clearing the misunderstandings and begins to see her differently and tries to get closer but FL continues to be indifferent to ML. Basically because of FL’s background she knows where she stands and doesn’t hope for anything from the ML and his family. She just wanted their status to help her brother be able to get into the academy and take the exam to become an official. Besides that, she does not rely on the ML and his family financially or for support for anything else. She makes her own money on the side secretly. I hope the translation doesn’t stop because I want to see how their feelings for one another will grow.  <<less
