unlike loveO2O, the ml is not completely invincible and had personal troubles from the beginning.

the drama also stayed faithful to the novel but with few differences that I've noticed:

-how the female lead was introduced to his family

-about guan zai

-no details about how they resolved the satellite prob that made him come back (which actually makes sense cause it's probably confidential)

-how qjj was introduced to his coworkers. it's not at the bb court <<less

it has the element of typical domineering ceo as the ML was stoic to others while sweet to his lover, wants to monopolize the FL which can be found in cnovels but this time, both are aware of this issue. and it was addressed. and tbh it was reasonable as well. 

"He still wanted her to be around all the time, to see no one, but more than that, he wanted her to be happy."

As for the FL, she's not overly powered, genuine and she really is the sun of the ML. Loved how once she discovered her feelings,

"But because she loved him, she was willing to try hard.

People only lived once, and life was really short, she couldn’t afford to waste a moment, and she couldn’t leave till death and wanted to live without leaving any regrets.

Love was love, it was in full swing, she shouldn’t shy away, she should display her affection."

The story is fluffy but it also made me cry.  <<less

it's fluffy, light read. there's sort of drama but not the typical kind. romance made my heart race and while they got together after the half of the novel, it's good. the progression felt very natural. and they're very sweet afterwards. main story ended at 65, it's extra onwards.... more>>

took me a while to try to read it cause the translation is hard to understand sometimes but it's a great read! after the pining and hurt there'll be fluff

watching the drama (love it). main difference i noticed was

-no cigarettes 

-adding love story to wangwang and the guy at university. 

-mls bday celebration

-fl accepting him (novel: after jia ying revealed his circumstances and his "debt", fl's doubts was removed. their 1st kiss happened right after she accepted him. cdrama: his bday. he told her first). 

-the date. (novel escape room. drama roller skating 

-fl initiating the kiss (novel she teased him and kissed him at the last moment of their date like she forgot what she declared. him agonizingly waiting for the moment she'll do it. cdrama surprised him at roller skating and kissed him. her finding opportunities to do it.

-bonding with sang yan (drama cut off some scenes with sang yan. watching movie which is kind of a shame. it was hilarious and they sneaked kisses lol)

-situations once she lived with him during her internship. drama stuck hair in button. novel it's hot, can you help me remove the button

-about her superior at work (drama kill with kindness. novel eye for an eye)

-parents disapproval felt longer in the novel

-certain ( ͡⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠) scenes in the novel appealed more to me. but before the fade to black in the drama, i was squealing as well lol

Ok so i havent finished watching the drama but seeing a little scene made me a little mad I put watching this on hold.

The other girl kissing the guy! Sure, it happens but in the novel he made absolutely clear that he wasnt interested as soon as he learned about the other girls feelings. So im a little mad the show put it in the opening/ending credits of the drama.
